  • My GOAT of fiction Izuku "Deku" Midoriya became the Greatest Hero OF ALL TIME MAN!

  • Yeah, All Might was a singular force of nature, an ideal no single person could live up too. Which is the point, no person SHOULD ever become what All Might was, a solitary pillar, no matter how strong, is still one pillar at the end of the day, and will eventually fall. Deku never needed to become the strongest, Greatest singular hero of all time, it’s better if he didn’t, because it forces the story to focus on unity and communal support instead of individual power-scaling.

Yeah because doesn't matter how strong you are (Deku by the end was stronger than the strongest hero ever), Some obstacles can't be handled alone. Deku had this spirit which inspired people to lend a helping hand and they tend to reach out to him the same way he did to them. As per All For One, He had what All Might didn't. The power or weakness...This was the story of how they all became the greatest of heroes!

Yup, AFO likely meant it as an insult. But, that “weakness” Deku had wasn’t just physical, many shonen MC’s are weak physically but they have a certain confidence and bluster that makes you believe they can do anything, Deku doesn’t have that, he’s transparent and vulnerable, even when he’s struggling instead of putting on a fake smile like even All Might admits he does, you can clearly see tears in his eyes when he’s fighting his heart out. It’s that transparency that makes people WANT to help him, unlike with All Might who always had overwhelming strength and a smile plastered on his face that gave the typical comic book/shonen manga mental image of “He’s got this under control” even when he really doesn’t.

  • Just an opinion. You guys can disagree!
