Hey everyone, I have been struggling with dealing with my natural hair for a while now, I’m attempting to take it more serious leading up to the 2026 year. I blow dried my hair and the outer part of my hair looks like this. Any tips or tricks as to prevent that? I moisturized my hair plenty before I blow dried it and used heat protectant so I am confused as to why this is happening. Had a trim in October so I couldn’t think of another cause. I also am vitamin D deficient so I take my pills everyday. May be a cause? Not sure just reaching out for help.

  • What are your expectations? I get the best blow dry when I do it in sections and then the heat is hot and high. And a comb attachment too but I break mine a lot so don’t bother and prefer a brush.

Just an attempt to stop the see through outer part unless it’s inevitable when you blow dry, I also use a comb attachment which brought me to the look I achieved in the photo.

Yea it’s inevitable! Ends tend to be thinner unless you’re really on top of your trims.
