This is how I would personally rank them.
1st – Vince
- Showergate
- Ashley confronting Vince
- Morgan crying because of Keanu
- Kelley begging Vince to get nominated
- Vince getting mad when Ashley won the veto
- Jimmy confronting Keanu at the veto meeting
- Rachel and Zae getting into it on the day before the eviction
- Rachel’s death stare during Zae’s eviction speech
- Vince letting his Burger Boys alliance lose one of its members as the HOH
I mean, c’mon. This was by far the most eventful and exciting kick-off of a season in the new era.
2nd – Angela
CRAZY EYES! Live feeders, we know where we were. It was only day 5 in the house. It was early in the morning. The houseguests were barely awake. Then, Angela came down the stairs and we got the monologue of the season. The week-long feud between Angela & Matt was ridiculously hilarious to say the least.
3rd – Frenchie
Frenchie: promises safety to literally everyone except Christian
Christian: wins safety through Wildcard comp
Frenchie: wants to target Derek X
Derek X: wins the veto
Frenchie: proceeds to break his promise to a total of 3 people throughout the week by nominating them
It was painful, but quite funny to watch it all go down. Also, Frenchie only made things worse for himself by being very paranoid and bossy.
4th – Reilly
To be honest, I don’t remember much from this HOH reign: Cirie entering the game and coaching Jared the entire time, Izzy fangirling over Cirie, Kirsten being super paranoid on night one, the two sides of the house forming, … I think things only got interesting after week 1.
5th – Daniel
Yeah… No explanation needed here.

Angela's HoH had the most iconic moment with the speech, but Frenchie's HoH was hands down the most chaotic
Daniel’s was the most… disturbing..
And lowkey the worst gameplay wise or tied with Frenchie at least.
Seriously crazy. It was my first year for the live feeds and I think the bar for feeds was set too high after that first week.
Waking up to CRAZY EYES on live feeds was like witnessing history being made. This is what it must have felt like to watch Keesha’s Birthday or Dan’s Funeral.
Literally the shit we live for as BB fans.

i was watching tarans morning recap and all of a sudden i hear him yell "turn on the feeds there's a big argument" and i was so shocked and audibly said "feeds started 2 days ago???" and had my mouth open the next couple hours watching the fight and the aftermath
Like Angela’s HOH single handedly brought fun drama back to BB it was that good
She was literally the best, and I’m glad she won some other comps! She’s near the top of my list for returnees I want to see. She was actually above average at the game tbh she just had TERRIBLE reads and I loved every second of it

100% correct order. I don't know if people just weren't around for it/don't remember it, but Frenchie's HOH was so much more chaotic than Vinny's. AND we had Night 1 feeds, so we got to see it play out from the very beginning.

Angela at number two from a game perspective is WILD, but the rest were that bad/she was so perversely successful.
If you remove Angela's paranoia, she had a 10/10 HoH. She had a majority alliance form around her, she got out a big guy who was coming after her, and a lot of houseguests like Quinn really liked Angela and wanted to work with her.
Then Angela was left alone for 5 minutes and she dismantled everything except her target XD. I genuinely need Angela on every season of any reality TV show.

26 was my first season. My friend got me into it in the first week by sending me the clips of Angela. She will forever be one of my favorite house guests.
Angela is my top rank cause that woman came in as a BB super fan and lived the full range of chaos that happens in the course of a whole season in just one week! Her first week! And the bulk of the drama was her own doing lol.
Frenchie 3rd is a non-feeder take IMO
That was one of the greatest weeks ever. When the 2 liter of soda came out you knew the target was about to flip

Frenchie was non-stop development right up until the Veto Ceremony. And there were still some delights like Frenchie’s Kisses, the all-girl alliance………….started by a man 🤣. Watching that man’s mind work was truly a masterclass in what the fuckery. Every time he would speak you would be amazed because he would always find some way to dig himself into a new pile of shit. I was like “how far can this man dig himself deeper into a hole 😂”
Angela is number two purely for Crazy Eyes. That moment alone carries the HoH in the WTF department. The constant paranoia and mental gymnastics are a nice bonus 🤣
Vince’s HoH was cool, but I don’t think reaches the heights of Frenchie and Angela. There were some truly WTF moments abound, but some of it felt over done and cringey. It didn’t reach the OTT levels of “what the hell is going on?” as Frenchie and Angela’s did.
Reilly is number four because there was a lot going on, but it felt more standard gaming. Nothing too out of the ordinary except for Kirsten being a mess and getting into some conflict with Cirie with Izzy being her back up 😂
Daniel is last………because he’s Daniel and Week One BB24 was truly a miserable experience. So much so I said that they should cancel the season because it truly wasn’t it. Boy did the season pick up 🤣
Angela saved us from a summer of Matt so she’s my number 1

Daniel is honestly one lf the most underrated worst first HoHs.
he definitely was not going to be a target after his HOH, people like pooch and turner were targets ahead of him and he was insulated well enough with people like nicole and ameerah that they would’ve fought for him to stay even if he played too passively while in power. I’m not saying it’s great or anything but when you compare him to the other 4 horrendous HOH reigns from this era he sticks out as the least awful.

The New Era first HoH reigns have been so bad, they have made fans of the show scared to be first HoH.
Vinny the Lip, bless his ambivalent heart, wanted that power and set himself even better than I thought he would at the time. He came off as so wishy washy and emotionally needy on feeds, but that shit worked.
So, while I give Vince credit for having the hands down best first HoH since Tyler, and it was an entertaining week, Angela and Frenchie are like all timers. Angela surviving to nearly the end after that was honestly insane.
Vince would be higher, but those Angela and Frenchie HoH reigns were straight up BONKERS.

I don’t really remember much of 23 so that’s where Frenchie’s week gets affected. Vince’s week is that low just due to being in the awkward phase of 27 where so much was happening that you couldn’t track. Also feeds being down for five days harms it.

Its amazing to me just how different the first HoH is now. The first HoH is supposed to really set you up to go deepening the game. Vince is the only one that i think benefitted from the first HoH. While he made so many stupid decisions. He did set himself up rather well with it.
