This is random but I remember Rachel cooking for the house this season and everyone seemed to like it, but wasn’t she on Worst Cooks in America a few years back? Did she learn how to cook after the show or is she not actually a bad cook and food network staged it? Just a random thought I had.

She basically said they just have to have a bad dish. She got a spot because of her nasty chocolate lasagna. They aren't that stringent on what makes a chef "bad." I watched it, and there was no way Frankie Grande didn't already know how to cook somewhat.
There's no way Frankie doesn't know how to cook, I met him recently at work since he was preforming with Alyssa Edward's and Kori King and he has an absolutely insane physique so unless he has paid for a personal chef for 10+ years he definitely knows how to cook
I think Frankie Grande, brother of Ariana Grande, having a personal chef for the last 10 years is one of the safer assumptions a person can make.
He was pretty fit when he was on big brother and Arianna Grande was not the mega popstar she is now back then.

CT is literally known for cooking in The Challenge house, and is on this season. They literally just want big personalities and will find any reason to cast them.
You could easily find way worse cooks, they just might be boring, and their starting point is just knowing how to heat up pre-prepared food.

Yeah, I would have expected some crossover knowledge, mainly because he was a prominent figure on a Traitors season with Dan and Janelle, plus there is a sizable enough fanbase that watches The Challenge in general that also watch Big Brother.

lol the early seasons of worst cooks were so entertaining. Nowadays I wouldn’t be surprised if people were faking it just to get on the show. Or if story producers make them exaggerate in order to create messy TV. Also R.I.P. Anne ❤️
For big name established Reality vets they likely just call them and ask if they want to do it, then figure out how to make it. I doubt they even have to fake anything when talking to production. CT's on this season and has been the chef in Challenge houses for a long time.
Both she and Brendan call her a bad cook. She said that she immediately almost burned her kitchen down after returning home. I think it was a mix of there only being 3 cooks in the house and Morgan specializing in Salads Sandwiches and Breakfast that forced Rachel to cook more. I know Mickey would sneak and season some of Rachel's dishes but everyone said she was a good cook, second best of the house. Again, there was only 3.

That show is not authentic and hasn't been authentic in years. It's a show for entertainment that now caters to personalities that can put on a show. It's one of the main reasons fans don't like the current editions of the show... or Food Network in general, for that matter.
I really liked Worst Cooks when it first came out. Now it seems more like a Nickelodeon show for adults.
I mean I think well over half of the reality tv casts are just pretending they can’t cook for the booking
Rachel isn’t a great cook but she did try at least. More than you can say for the end of the season when they lived off only sandwiches and frozen pizza.

The 20-somethings were wanting for life skills this year. I remember Lauren and Rylie were wowed that Rachel could make rice and wanted to learn. RICE.
Ashley almost set the microwave on fire putting in a metallic mug. Lauren had a little kid mac n cheese type palette lol
Zayn was eating 20 cold hot dogs a day. Vince, Zach, Rylie, and Zayn attempted to make pasta early on and i’m not exaggerating: they were confused regarding boiling water
God that makes me feel so much better about my cooking abilities. I’m not a great cook but I get by with simple stuff like casseroles.

It's bittersweet, but Mickey and Morgan were really the reason why this cast had any good dinners at all early on. They made a lot of good pastas, and later Morgan w her sandwiches

If nobody else really cooked then they were probably happy with what Rachel made even if it wasnt amazing. She probably did learn some new skills from the worst cooks show.
However the others are right that the people on worst cooks aren't always bad. Im pretty some of the celebs can cook but just go on it for publicity and maybe to learn some new tips. I did watch the premiere episode of Rachel's season and she didn't look like a super good cook. Her first meal was one of the worst for the group.

there was at least one moment during the live feeds where the rest of the houseguests were complaining about rachel’s cooking and the lack of seasoning 😅 but they tried to be polite about it when she was aroind
