Relatively new fan, just binged my first few seasons. I'm curious about something: near the end, they always have trivia challenges about what happened on each day of the season. What support or materials can they access to study? Do they each keep their own notebook throughout the season? I never see them writing anything down, so when does this happen? I haven't gotten a chance to watch feeds yet, so maybe you see it on there?

They don’t even get a notebook, they just have to use their memories or anything else they can think of to help them.
In BBCAN, somebody made a calendar out of cardboard and cereal and kept it under their bed.

BBCAN has had some great study materials. Another person used sprinkles and another person made a rap song. It's crazy how creative people get.

The house doesn't allow any writing materials or notebooks like that. By and large the houseguests will come up with their own mnemonics (or go over them together) to remember the dates/events, such as coming up with little songs or bullet points of what happened each week / comps.
M&Ms, Skittles, cereal. That's all the materials they use to study
No notebooks. Only their brains.
Once you start watching live feeds, you'll see them practicing and quizzing each other all the time.
Others have mentioned using M&Ms to keep track of things and quizzing each other, which is true. But also, there is a TON of downtime in the house. Not much to occupy your mind other than the game and stuff like this.
If you watch the feeds many of them practice this every night throughout the season. As a feed watcher I also often learn many of these things over the course of the season so it's fun to get to play along with that comp at the end of the season.
At the beginning of each day, the producers will say “It’s day ___” over the loudspeakers (this is when the feeds are off as houseguests are getting dressed). That’s as much help as they get.

They often use food. BB27 Rachel had a boxing globe full of cough drops in the gym to use to study - I think one cough drop for each day and she’d put them in rows to help her
It's things like this that made it even harder to see Rachel's elimination. Seeing her come back when she didn't need to for a regular season, seeing her actually work hard and play the game...only to get eliminated by a maze. It's a new year and it still hurts and the producers saw the ratings and want to bring it back! Ugh!
