Great :) I don’t think I’ll be going this year, but it is healthy for the club scene overall to have something like CTM, which makes sure that the club scene still has a focus on the more experimental side of music. It’s even more important these years, when techno has increased in popularity, and it is easy to focus on what you are sure that sells, and not what has an artistic value.
wondered if anyone knows if a normal RA ticket guarantees entry in the snake q? went to CTM last year with a week wristband n got let in through the left door. don’t rlly wanna buy a full weekend pass if i can as i’m only available for the thursday :(
CTM 2019 was the worst event I’ve witnessed in Berlin, not kidding. People were extremely rude, way too high on molly, djs played shity happy hardcore music and between sets was like a 15min silence on Berghain floor it was beyond cringe. after this disaster I told myself never again. Maybe it gotten better, but I’m too scared to find out.
yea but more diverse in location and selection. atonal echos lineups that occur in various cities in the world (re:wire, unsound etc) and works with the same agencies every year. ctm bring a lot of hot names intertwined with no-names to push newer talent into people’s radar. honestly one of the most important music curation in the underground worldwide
i’m curious when did not being familiar with the latest interesting music acts become a flex. also you’re confusing “life on earth” skrillex type events with ctm. ctm concerts attract music heads and people who are into cutting edge performance
Dengue Dengue Dengue 🥵👯‍♂️

Awesome chance to get more familiar with a wide range of music, there’s some really cool artists in here.

I don’t think that is a flex on your end.
