From the mailbag. We received this letter:
"Dear Sven, you denied me entry to Klubnacht last night and I need to know why. I was the one in all black not speaking. I had the lineup memorized and could recite it in German. I need to know why you rejected me. -- Bounced in Berlin"
We responded:
Dear Bounced in Berlin,
Entry is not a reward, nor is it a puzzle to be solved. But since you seek understanding, consider:
- The door does not open for those who try to force it.
- Silence is not the same as presence.
- To memorize the lineup is to know the menu, but not the taste.
- The line outside and the dancefloor inside are made of the same people. Were you part of both?
- The best way to enter is to no longer need to.
Perhaps next time beckon you, the dancefloor will.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
Sven
