It took me a few years for me to learn what nonce actually meant to be fair. Thinking of all the times I said it in the wrong situations still haunts me.
Correct, but it obviously is a script he memorized, because he gets toward the end and forgets the part where what 522+2 equals and his dad helps him remember. He's not stumbling on the math, he's stumbling on the recital. But I agree it's still impressive for a small child to memorize such a long script.
Dvr an episode and then teach the child the math equation. Good for the young chap to learn math in a fun way but can’t prove he did this on the fly. Sorry to be that dude. Put him on the stage and do it. For all of you that think this kid is a genius and don’t think parents don’t try to use their own kids for internet clicks and clout, wake up and get with the times.
Agreed, call me skeptical but we have seen parents upload videos of their kids getting hurt or during embarrassing moments. It's sadly the day and age we live.
These British shows are older than the dinosaurs, so rap wasn't a thing yet. I think the last "numbers girl" retired straight into an old person's home.

I want to believe it, but such is life these days.
So I upvoted your comment and this video.
Why?
We have the same skepticism.
The Tele could be a recording and the dad could have scripted this with his son over and over and over.
But even if his kid memorized the script and is an absolute nonce at maths... it's still impressive.
The kid is smart either way. And much like you I find it very hard to believe still. But that's the world now.
Well, that is a sentence and a half when talking about a child.

Ais a bitch sometimes to decipher isn't it?
Not even AI, it could just be scripted.
My money's on scripted
Even if it's real, that poor child might grow up to be a software engineer. Maybe even working on AI and into crypto.
This isn't AI. It's a recording. BUT you might be right in a couple of years.

After watching it a couple of times, I can do it too
Yeah he probably should have gone up a channel, showed what was on tv, then down a channel back to this show to prove it was live.
He could just record having done that.

That's Numberwang!
Mornington Crescent!
Rotate the board !!
Most staged video ever
I did it like this ->
(100-75) into 25 - (8-(50/10)
25 into 25 - (8-5)
625 - 3
622
However, the kid is kinda sus for taking longer to calculate 522+100 and he had to prompted to say 522.
Yeah, his hesitation on the simple things seem suspicious.
65*8? Easy peazy? 522+100? Can't be done
This seems rather staged.
Would be cool but looks staged. Looked like he was remembering the steps rather than calculating a bunch of things through in his head.
Yeah, BS
"Let's go son, Daddy needs some Internet points"
The difference between these shows and the US shows is that you need to know who the latest rapper is.

Cries in Vorderman
It’s 1:30am! I laughed and woke the dog!!!!
I would suck so badly on this game show.
I can only count to four :(
Cringe
plot twist, that's Kevin
Got 65*8 instantly, but needed help on 520+2.
At that age I was eating glue
My brain stopped at 25
He is a genius

Math 24 on steroids…I like it!!
Meanwhile I’m still staring at the screen like 🧍♂️
Just wow!
Future math teacher right there
So this is a game where you can just use any order of math to solve for the number?
Well, the lady of the challenging **** fame is going to have some (mathematical) competition in the future.
hat’s actually insane for a 4yo
Omg get him on the show. I want that episode so bad!
