LBJ - at 18 years old on the cover of SI, which back then was the sports world. Most hyped NBA player ever in the modern era, millions before he could legally drink.
This man has had zero real scandals, a good family life, and constant highlight reels of him impacting regular-ass everyday people in a positive way.
He's on the team I hate the most and I can't hate the guy, like, at all. On or even off the court.
In a world where there are no more heroes for the kids - LeBron James is showing up.
"The crotch, down where your nuts hang, is always a little too tight... see if you can't leave me about an inch from where the zipper ends around under my back to my bunghole"
Do you recall an effort that was perpetrated back when he started out to label him as more of a thug and degenerate? Maybe, it was just a local thing, but I remember a lot of people in my life trying to compare him to Jordan, but only in ethics, not actually on the court. And I don't actually remember anything specifically negative that he did, but phrase 'thug' came out a lot.
I completely agree. This is LeBron I like! More of this other than trying to be this feared guy. Pretty damn cool he did this out of being genuine than just because the camera is on him.
Actually have a small positive LeBron story. My mom was working an event he was at and he was in her section. Some drunk guy was hassling my mom and apparently LeBron saw the interaction and sent one of his security guys over to tell the guy off.
Dude helped defend my mom, that's more to me than anything else he's done.
Brilliant move. If he does it directly, someone might cheap shot him because they have much less to lose than he does. If he sends security, the asshole they're checking just sees a really large dude that can clearly handle himself and he backs down.
Are you speaking about LeBron or players in general? LBJ has never tried to be a feared guy or to act like a badass. Dude has been corny af his entire career, he never needed to act like he’s hard. Honestly he’s taken a lot of crap for this over the years, that he doesn’t have “that killer instinct” like MJ or Kobe because he isn’t an outward ahole to people.
Hard to believe this was 7 years ago and dudes still scoring 30 points in a night. Dude's an absolute lovable corn ball that never tries to act intimidating.
I have been able to go to an owners suite at games for over 10 years. The same bartender is there or a family member of hers works all the games. They get amazing tips and are treated like family from the people in the suite.
If you are serving those seats, you have amazing hospitality and are getting taken care of.
Can confirm, I know a lot of people who work at a ski resort during the busy season and just bartend. They make an insane amount of money on rich people just sitting around drinking all day.
You may be surprised. I used to tend bar for the "high roller" seats, and we had folks coming back year after year to be a server and "wait" the seats like this woman is (same way I'd come back as a bartender).
Heck, some of the ones who came back were using their vacation days from being commercial pilots (this was in Daytona, so lots of the servers went to Embry Riddle).
In addition to our decent hourly wage, in one day of races I'd leave with several hundreds of dollars in tips...and these dudes weren't even close to Lebron levels of wealth.
Nope. I did work in a suite once for the Daytona 200, for Lockhart Phillips, which was pretty cool as I'd just bought a sport bike. Was down in the paddock another time for another 200. The vast majority of the time I was bartending in the main building (forget the name) for passerbys and the servers taking care of the "big money" outdoor seats during 500 race week and the 400.
I was bartending when Dale Earnheart died, actually. Still have all the "stuff" you'd get with the VIP tickets like the program and all that (they gave it to all us workers)...figured it might be worth money some day. We also knew he was dead long before anyone else, because another bartenders daughter was in the hospital he was brought to.
This is something I tell people who are about to have a wedding. My SIL who was my wife's bridesmaid forgot my ring in the dressing room and had to whisper to my wife to have us fake putting my ring on during the ceremony. It's those sorts of screwups you fondly remember 20 years later, not something running as expected.
What a nonsense thing to rage over. People need to take a breather and not be so intense. I would’ve been disappointed if he or someone didn’t take a moment to make sure she was ok.
I don't get what the first beverage spill has to do with Lebron. This is Moda (Blazers arena), they're playing the Nuggets, and it's the ref that bumped into her. I know Lebron was never on the Blazers, and I'm pretty sure he never played for the Nuggets either.
It's not adhd, it's some kind of lowered attention span caused by constant dopamine drips from short content.
Edit: Apparently, there is this:
TikTok Use Disorder (TTUD): A proposed concept describing compulsive use, linked to memory loss, anxiety, and depression, though not a formal DSM diagnosis
it's not in the DSM, but it is a new phenomenon since the DSM 5 came out in 2013, so maybe it will show up in DSM 6.
She’s not even in LA, that’s the Moda Center in Portland. He’s coming from out of town to great her like that. As a Trailblazer fan, I think it’s this type of stuff that makes LeBron the GOAT.
Hes definitely a good dude. To be that famous from that young and not be a complete e titled asshole speaks measures to him as a man and his mom for his upbringing.
Still not a better baller than Mike tho. But he's an all time great.
I don't even like basketball but had floor seats for my hubby and seeing lebron play with the way he's so huge but light on his feet like a ballerina blew me away. Now go to every one of his games when they're in town just to watch him. He does a bunch of charity work too, seems like a good overall guy.
I was working an event he was at, and I was sprinting around a corner and ran smack into him. I'm not a tiny guy at all, but I felt like I ran into a towering brick wall. And he apologized to me about it. Lol.
Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one confused. It's just a super cut of this court side waitress's TV moments. Admittedly, clips 2 and 3 are extremely sweet.
I think the first clip communicates that LeBron is not the only one who has run into this server on the court. But it looks like he's the only one who apologized, then remembered her the next time he saw her.
I was a cocktail waitress at Second City for a couple years - super packed theater (how it passed fire code, I’ll never know) pitch black and patrons who aren’t paying attention to anything but the stage.
Trays are an incredibly delicate balance and an experienced server knows exactly how to distribute the weight properly for easier delivery. All it takes is one person thinking they’re being nice and grabbing their drink off the tray to topple everything.
Waiters at events should/do get a lot of grace. For every major spill you see, they probably caught 100 more just in the nick of a time.
Off topic but why the fuck would they let an open plate bring food or drinks to the court like that? It 100% should be something that doesnt spill if dropped.
It's not really relevant to the video, but it always amazes me how many athlete super-stars have an amazing memory. One-time Lebron described a random play from a random game in excruciating detail. Tom Brady did the same thing, as well and I'm forgetting about so many others.
Two other memorable Lebron things that stand out to me was the tackling of the guy who made the half court shot and going straight to Michelle Obama for a hug after the team USA win. I seriously don’t get the hate.
Lebron is one of the best superstars to ever play in professional sports. Gracious, supportive, funny, and of course... mega talented and hard working. We need more people to see him as an example.
I swear Bron has an eidetic memory, he remembers absolutely everything and it is impressive how he can remember fine details of a random play that happened in the middle of the season in 2009.
LeBron has a damn near photographic memory. If you name any NFL player current or past, he can tell you where they went to college.
The most impressive thing was after a game one time someone asked him about a random play from a random game from years prior, and he recalled it in vivid detail.
As a person who doesn't watch really any sports, if I see a sport player (or really anyone) going out of their way to be kind, I automatically start to assume they're probably a good person.

What a sweet exchange to come out of that accident
Moments like that stick longer than highlights or stats ever will.

He passed the Civil Rights Act so he could wreck them in the paint. They ain't call him Jumbo for nothing.
And a Jumbo-sized cock
"The crotch, down where your nuts hang, is always a little too tight... see if you can't leave me about an inch from where the zipper ends around under my back to my bunghole"
Direct quote lol
This was a phone recording of him trying to order pants right?
Too bad it wasn't part of his SOTU speech
That’s why we had a Great Society.
Here I thought it was dirt cheap bananas 🍌...Stupid, Stupid!🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾
You’re right! Long ago I didn’t like him, but now I have the highest regard for the guy. He’s a good and kind man.
Celtics fan here and as much as I hate him gotta admit he’s been a great role model for the most part decent guy
Do you recall an effort that was perpetrated back when he started out to label him as more of a thug and degenerate? Thug is usually what some white people say when they want to say the N word about a black person.
I read that as legally dunk and it made me laugh
Beautiful summary!

He did have his mild villain arch in Miami—especially g6 in Boston, but it was never real, lol. Loved the black mask though.

Lmao I know he's black and tall but this is LeLive LeLaugh LeLove LeBron. Dude has never tried to act tough or be "feared".
He gives off wine mom energy more than anything else and I love him for it

"other than trying to be this feared guy"
that's a character he plays on the court. The NBA is an entertainment product that centers around a sport.
But that's the thing. He's never tried to play hard or tough. If he anything, he acts like he's a goofy comedian.
And now they can't fire her 💪
That poor lady is still probably making less than minimum wage plus tips all while being surrounded by millionaires.
I have been able to go to an owners suite at games for over 10 years. The same bartender is there or a family member of hers works all the games. They get amazing tips and are treated like family from the people in the suite.
If you are serving those seats, you have amazing hospitality and are getting taken care of.
yeah no way a min wage new worker is serving courtside... because what happened would happen more often.
you actually make a shitload of money by bartending for millionaires. they tend to be big tippers.
would recommend.
Can confirm, I know a lot of people who work at a ski resort during the busy season and just bartend. They make an insane amount of money on rich people just sitting around drinking all day.

I've always told people who are stressed about their wedding that it will never go perfectly and that those mishaps will make the best stories.
Happy little accident
I agree. I’m not LeBron’s biggest fan, but this earned him some big points for me.
LeRedemption
She forever has a story
Emphasis on the “accident”
People raged when this happened, like it stopped a game for 2 minutes
What a nonsense thing to rage over. People need to take a breather and not be so intense. I would’ve been disappointed if he or someone didn’t take a moment to make sure she was ok.
Love it. Very human.
LeBron a real one for turning what could have been a lifelong regret into a positive for her
What's with all these crummy TikTok videos with eye-blinding cuts and ear-bleedingly-bad music being posted here lately? And how is this "amazing"??
I’d never survive without “mute.”
I almost never have sound on when scrolling. I'd guess I'm not missing much.
I only turn on sound when the comments say something like “finally no shitty music”
Yea, but now our eyes have to be assaulted as well

Yeah, that too. There's just so much off about this post. Not to mention a lot of the comments seem like they're from bots.
Got to when you are stealing the content and trying to make a few pennies off of others hard work. They think they are creators by doing this
Attention.
Are you paying attention?
WHAT ABOUT NOW? AAAAAAAAAAAAAA LOOK AT MEEEEEEE
Because we live in the age of copy and paste, and this is people’s “artistic” takes on that copy and paste
Why so negative dawg
Trying to keep the attention of people with adhd is hard
Dude I have some severe ADHD and I can't handle these tiktok edits. They drive me insane. It's gotta be something else.
has nothing to do with adhd
It's not adhd, it's some kind of lowered attention span caused by constant dopamine drips from short content.

I remember a few years ago he gifted a grizzlies floor worker a pair of shoes before a game.
Alright, that was super adorable. LeBron goes up a peg.

LeBron is a giant, in more ways than one❤️
Very wholesome, but my mind went somewhere else lol
Wow, that never even crossed my mind, until I saw your comment
Then what happened?
Then, the double intendre occurred to me
Then what happened after that?
Then people kept asking me what happened after that😂
And then?
And then I went to bed
To what, his penis?
I was working an event he was at, and I was sprinting around a corner and ran smack into him. I'm not a tiny guy at all, but I felt like I ran into a towering brick wall. And he apologized to me about it. Lol.
Alright I'm confused.
Clip #1 - Ref bumps into the server and she spills everything. LeBron is not in this clip.
Clip #2 - LeBron bumps into the same server and she falls and he kindly picks her up.
Clip #3 - LeBron sees her a few years after clip #2 and gives her a hug.
What is the point of clip # 1 , was LeBron at this game as well?
Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one confused. It's just a super cut of this court side waitress's TV moments. Admittedly, clips 2 and 3 are extremely sweet.
She just has a lot of rough days at work, I think. :-/
Thank you like what the heck is going on?! I was wondering the same thing - clip one has nothing to do with LeBron in any way
I think the first clip communicates that LeBron is not the only one who has run into this server on the court. But it looks like he's the only one who apologized, then remembered her the next time he saw her.
This is the only reason I want to be famous. It's easy talk, but nothing feels better than making someone's bad day a grateful memory
You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat people who can do nothing for them.
This is the world I want to live in!
Memory of elephant.
I'm glad they kept her on

Dude gets way too much hate
Court side is way too close why are the players able to crash into spectators like that?
It is strange, but also kind of charming, that people are ordering meals 6 inches away from the NBA court.
Off topic but why the fuck would they let an open plate bring food or drinks to the court like that? It 100% should be something that doesnt spill if dropped.

Props to LeBron for this….
This is how notice LeBron has been with the Lakers for 6, going on 7, years. This stint is as long as his original Cleveland stint.
I love her
Jesus christ these constant transitions are so annoying, how can anyone watch that?
Jordan would’ve waited until she had a full tray and knocked her down again just to assert dominance.
LeGenerosity
Been to a few Portland games and she’s still there. She’s so sweet.
I'm surprised food and drinks are allowed courtside. You're inches from a ball or player at any moment.
Jordan would never be that nice to service workers. Goes to show that being the GOAT is what you do on and off the court 🔥
He in fact is notorious for tipping like shit. He believes nobody has worked as hard as him or deserves as much as him
That is really sweet
Bron is a nice man, and a good man.
NOT THE GOAT,
But what a nice guy lol.
Bron got the memory of an elephant
This is CLASS. 👌🏆
Two other memorable Lebron things that stand out to me was the tackling of the guy who made the half court shot and going straight to Michelle Obama for a hug after the team USA win. I seriously don’t get the hate.
Never been a fan of LeBron, but this was world class 👌🏽💯
King James
Right on Lebron.
Oh that was so cute!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
That lady needs to stop going court side.
That ref trying to play it off like it wasn’t his fault is a scumbag
Lebron is one of the best superstars to ever play in professional sports. Gracious, supportive, funny, and of course... mega talented and hard working. We need more people to see him as an example.
I swear Bron has an eidetic memory, he remembers absolutely everything and it is impressive how he can remember fine details of a random play that happened in the middle of the season in 2009.
Class act.
He's the GOAT in pretty much every way in terms of Athletic Role Models.
I'm so amazed!
This is great!
Attaboy
Man I don’t even watch basketball but I’m liking LeBron the more I see him hug people
r/wholesome
Man, that’s awesome.
Standing on the edge of a professional sports game is terrifying.
hug your fellow hard workers
so this is the most secure job in these hard times
This is so sweet. 🥹
I’m not a big LeBron fan - Jordan guy here - but have to say this is classy. Good dude
That's adorable
LeBron has a damn near photographic memory. If you name any NFL player current or past, he can tell you where they went to college.
The most impressive thing was after a game one time someone asked him about a random play from a random game from years prior, and he recalled it in vivid detail.
Not a huge lebron guy….. but that just swayed me a bit. Great job King James!!!
Man….i love stuff like this
That is so effing cool
Class moves at the end. I was afraid she’d get fired for suffering a straight-up accident. The way the players reacted probably saved her job.
humans, man ❤️
As a person who doesn't watch really any sports, if I see a sport player (or really anyone) going out of their way to be kind, I automatically start to assume they're probably a good person.
This put a smile on my face this morning. Thank you OP.
Awww I don’t like sports or know anything about it lol but what a sweetheart
Lovely video! But why is the edge of the basketball court so close to the audience and why do they carry drinks literally feet away from the court?
That’s what Capricorns do! We never forget!💪🏾
So cool 😄
Still has to work same shitty job though ,wish that hug paid her
Now that’s a job i would want just for the perks
Lebron is a good lad.
Bro is a good dude
They claim Lebron has a photographic memory and stuff like this is why I lean towards believing it
he's also amazing at chess
Wow much amaze
That’s very sweet!
What a class act. The best !!!
Aw that actually made me tear up a little bit.
Was the official bumping and Lebron bumping in the same game?
That’s cool !
A cool attitude makes him even more of a human being.
solid guy that lebron
Bald headed ma in the background jealous
Is that Nigel Farages mum?
great guy!!
Stop making me like LeBron. I don't want to!
That’s great 😀
They're just like us!
Damnit....now I gotta like him too
That's sweet 🥹
Cool
We need to see more vids like this.

The man found his work mom.
Maybe they shouldn’t serve drinks during active play?
I’m a dedicated LeBron hater, but that was very nice.
Is it usual for people to sit so close that they could touch the players? Seems so strange.
That’s my goat
LeBron is great. 😊
Adorable!
