I have a great relationship with my brother and he's a really good friend. We hang out a lot too. Sometimes I'm scared we'll have a falling out or that our future partners will mess something up. But we have so many good times that we'll probably always remember those.
I suspect my older brother is on the autism spectrum. You wouldnt know it unless you knew him well. We get along fine, but him and i are the polar opposite in likes and temperment.
That fucker has protected me more times than i can count when we were kids.
Thats why i can guarantee that kid will not forget that moment.
Yeah mine has protected me too when I was still a kid. I remember him and his friends showing up at school to tell the bullies that were older than me to leave me alone. I will never forget that
I have a terrible relationship with my (adult) sister, but we never really got along. Sibling relationships don't change that much unless something major happens, so don't worry!
Unfortunately that’s not true. Me and my brother were once very close. Unfortunately due to family issues, culture and mental health problems we had a falling out and we haven’t been same since. I miss it but I have my self respect. He’s a man child who doesn’t want to communicate and I’m not doing to encourage him to talk to me when he should know better.
The parents of these boys are doing a great job, teaching them that there's nothing wrong with men showing affection and crying when they get emotional ❤️
It gets better with every watch. The look of boredom on the girls face as they’re singing followed by her smug shoulder roll right before she gets her hair yoinked.
On my birthday, I alternate between my parents and my sister, each year I give the piece to one of them.
NOTE: giving the first piece to a friend instead of a family member may sound offensive to some people, I've heard of cases of mothers crying because their son chose a friend or something like that.
My brother and I got kidnapped when we were young teens. Me being the older brother, kept the kidnapper’s attention in me, so he would not point the gun at my brother. I had to taunt him sometimes, and he would hit me with the gun, but I couldn’t stop calling his attention.
My brother says it was the worse day of his life. I say it was just my job. He is my little brother, so I had to keep him safe.
That's a heartwarming video that I've seen before... I wonder what path those kids have taken in the journey of life since that time, and how they're doing nowadays?
Seriously? Have you ever given your first piece of cake to a stranger, a neighbor you don't talk to, or a relative you don't like? I bet you haven't.
On all my 30 birthdays, I've given my first piece to the people I love most, the people who are most special to me. My parents, my husband, my grandparents, and my brother are the only people I've ever chosen.
And everyone I know does the same thing, because that definitely IS our tradition.

I guarantee you it does not. Even if they have a falling out. This moment will live in their head forever.

As a mom of 3 young boys this warms my heart. I hope they’ll always be close and there for each other even when I’m not here anymore.

And on Reddit
Why would you say that?
Mom: the first piece, very good, the first piece.
Boy: goes to a really cool person, someone very dear, Antonio!
Chopping onions
I’ve watched this video so many times but it gets me teary eyed every single time ugh 🥺✨
Nah this is sweet 🥹
I feel this and love this. The love I have for my siblings/brothers is immeasurable, there’s just nothing else like it man.
The parents of these boys are doing a great job, teaching them that there's nothing wrong with men showing affection and crying when they get emotional ❤️
if we could delete this music from everything thatd be great
100%
That’s actually a really nice tradition
I'm not crying. There's something in my eye...
Small tradition, big meaning
Beautiful.
Now I want to see the other 2 Brazilian sisters blowing the candles.
Right here, it just came out of the oven.
It gets better with every watch. The look of boredom on the girls face as they’re singing followed by her smug shoulder roll right before she gets her hair yoinked.
Obrigado
we're a very sentimental people
Thats so sweet, true raw love. ❤️
Aww that's sweet
Every time I see this, it’s just so sweet 🩵
Damn that’s fucked up to make me choose. 60% of my friends and family would be offended.
We normally don't care about who gets picked. It's just a way to show appreciation to others in your life. Most pick their mom, dad or siblings.
Yup. Even with my engagement cake, me and hubby gave a huge first slice to both my parents, because they helped us the most with our first house.
Plus we will almost always chant "Puxa saco! Puxa saco!" whoever your pick is, meaning "ass kisser".
Would'nt it be "ball grabber"? either way both are funny lol
How does it work if a parent has two kids? I feel like I would have taken that personally at 7
You either give it to their dad, your parents, or just split the slice into two and say you love them dearly.
I mean, you could always eat the cake yourself and offend 100% of them
Honestly that’s where I initially thought the video was going 😂
I did that once when I was a kid 😭 (everyone laughed tho)
99% of the times it's not an issue, people are chill about it...
My mom is a diagnosed narcisist though, throught my growing up the first slice always went either to my sister or to myself to avoid mom drama.
When in doubt, give to grandma

FTFY
Love this. Seriously hope that family bond stays strong.🙏🏽
This is so cute 🥰
I’m not crying you’re crying! 😭
Is this a motherfucking corinthians reference????
I love this video, such a beautiful relationship between brothers. I choke everytime
I always wanted a sibling like this. I bet its the best feeling in the world to know u have someone who’ll always have ur back and vice versa
That’s so wholesome
This video always gives me sad I never had a moment like this with my sibling.
This is so beautiful
There is still hope lads.
Instantly teary eyes for me, every time. This is just The sweetest thing!
🥹💙
My little cousin used to cry if it wasnt him every birthday
This type of mood is so much Brazilian, as being one I am totally related.
And my boys only argue about every god damn thing.
It's also a cherished tradition to post this repeatedly.
Lil guy wanted it but wasn’t expecting it.
It makes me tear up every time 😭
Now:
Permission to cry.
Ohhhhh my mommy heart 😭😭😭😭
Makes me miss my big brother.
I hope they are still close.
Man how old are these kids now
I hate to see people crying. I keep it to myself.
I've cried harder than antonio at this video once
that tradition always fucks me up, thats why I dont let anyone buy me cake
Lindos
This gets me every time
Wait we dont do that at the rest of the world?!
You could see their little face prior, looking around like who’s going to get the first price. You can tell it Means a lot.
Antonio getting his cake and Gabriel getting his chayote are the two main moods o brazilian families
I’ve seen this one so many times.
It’s never lost its charm.
I actually cried waht~~ this is beautiful ❤️
Adorable.
My brother would NEVER have done that… and neither would I.
I love this video so much. Will always watch it when it pops up
Parenting done right. Bravo!

God I hope my kids all grow up to be loving towards each other like this 😭.
I need to see an update of these two. 😭
"iykyk" 😭😭😭
Who's cutting onions in this bitch?
We Brazilians are very thought with our family.
He is my little brother, so I had to keep him safe.
can someone translate this awww moment
In my country we give it to the eldest member of the family 😁
Mom firzt, gf second 👌
Can it be my turn to post this tomorrow? Or is there a line of people waiting already?
As a Brazillian this is true.
👍🙏❤️🤗😘💝
Precious angels.❤️
Didn’t expect to feel things today
Then they tore each other apart for last piece.
That's a heartwarming video that I've seen before... I wonder what path those kids have taken in the journey of life since that time, and how they're doing nowadays?
GO CORINTHIANS
why wholesome content on my racism app WHY ????
r/awww is a different sub
He's crying because he knows it's a bad slice of cake /s
1 daughter getting a vasectomy right now
It's not tradition here, One can just give the first slice to whoever they want. It's mere coincidence that person is whom they love the most.
it is. I'm Brazilian and EVERYONE does that. Even in birthdays inside my work people give the first slice to a significant other... Stfu brother
Okay, you're crazy.
Seriously? Have you ever given your first piece of cake to a stranger, a neighbor you don't talk to, or a relative you don't like? I bet you haven't.

And everyone I know does the same thing, because that definitely IS our tradition.
Can’t it become awkward if you are eating only with friends? Or a parent cutting up cake and need to choose a child (if they have more than one)
It can, but people work around it... Like giving it to grandma, to yourself, etc..
You have Uchiha in your user handle 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Yeah i bet you gave a first slice of your birthday cake to a complete stranger that was walking down the road, dont be a idiot
This is the sweetest tradition in Brazil birthdays! Totally different from what happens few minutes before this 🤣
I'm Brazilian and never heard of this cherished tradition
Weird, this is really common. Maybe your region doesn't have it?
In São Paulo this is common knowledge. Just as much as old aunts taking little plates from the party to their kids who didn't attend 😅
Never heard of a region here this is not common
