  • "Women believe differently.".

It is always like this, when someone points out this kind of bullshit they always answer with "B-but women enjoy this!" as if 99% of the members are not men.

Yea, it’s bullshit.. they are trying to create the sexual norm for women.. I think not! Porn should be banned on all social media sites. It grooms kids and affects women when exposed to that vile smut! It makes the sites dangerous for women. Please sign the petition. And please share it! https://c.org/KqC54yz2jQ

  • BTW this is about their about you page:

    Women are things. Objects.

They should be enjoyed, used, and they should enjoy this treatment without expecting anything in return.

Women should not have an identity. They are not I, me, or we. Women are it, plain and simple!

what on earth... absolute sickening sub.

Is next step a genocide? Because that is how it sounds...

  • The consent argument is so tired. Things that cause harm, like misogyny and physical abuse among other things, are not okay even if everyone involved is an eager participant. As an extreme example, there have been a few cases of women who had fetishes for being murdered or cannibalized who sought out men to do that to them, with a case like this happening last month in the US. What happens to the men? Are they let off scot free because sHe CoNsEnTeD? No lmao they’re convicted of murder every time because it doesn’t matter whether she literally signed up for it or not - murder is murder.

The "Women disagree" shit reminds me of the old classic slavery apologia of "Black people were better off as slaves and preferred it over being free". Both arguments are used for the same goal of speaking "for" the group that actually would beg to differ.

  • With the number of mass shooters these communities pump out, Reddit should really be sued by the grieving families for refusing to take down hate groups targeting women.

Yes! This .. they should be sued for spreading hate against women.. they want to be inclusive by making this place safe for women. Then they need to ban the fucking porn! Porn should be banned on all social media sites! It grooms kids. And makes platform dangerous for women. Please sign the petition. And please share it! https://c.org/KqC54yz2jQ

  • I somehow have a hard time believing they'd feel similarly about a subreddit called "menarethings"

    That’s my thoughts as well

  • Sure, I’m guessing he’s definitely spoken to so many women in his life, and totally isn’t just a basement dweller. /s

  • that’s so gross

  • I mean, I wouldn’t expect anything better from a moderator of that subreddit. Did you end up in this convo from reporting a specific post, or the entire subreddit? Were the mods informed that you specifically made the report?

I reported to the moderators, I reported the subreddit over the Reddit forum and I wrote each of the moderators individually 😅 I am so sickened of it all. I tried my best and don’t know if I will receive any repercussions (because my messages to each mod wasn’t so kind…) best wishes to you 🌷

  • Why waste time messaging their mods? Those things aren't worth interacting with.

  • never heard of them and they're already defensive, their subreddit name is dehumanising (objectifying). not a good look. in*el sub?

  • Isn't that a kink subreddit?

  • What did you expect, sweet summer child?

You’re 100% I am a Sweet Summer Child. I didn’t know about these horrible subreddits…It sickens me and disgusted me and I’m trying to fight against it in any way I can…all the best to you.

    Thanks, I‘m with you.

mate you're on a sub against female hate subs, reacting negatively to someone being against female hate subs.

    what did YOU expect?

I expected exactly this response. It appears as if the OP was naive enough to expect something else (insight, reflection, …) from the mods of a sub called r / womenarethings.

You seriously strawmanned her reaction to a subreddit objectifying her? You also didn't answer my question. Did not realise a woman being disgusted over a subreddit dehumanising women was a moral failure

Uh, are you thinking that the person you’re replying to is a male Reddit Apologist™️? They’re not, and if nothing else, their flair is proof that they’re the polar opposite lmao. (:

Never claimed or thought that they were a male reddit apologist at all, I was commenting on their behaviour, not on their character

You seriously strawmanned her reaction to a subreddit objectifying her?

I did no such thing, or at least not intended you. I merely asked what kind of response OP was expecting.

You also didn't answer my question.

I did though, in the first sentence of my response 🤔

Did not realise a woman being disgusted over a subreddit dehumanising women was a moral failure

I said no such thing. Stop putting words in my mouth.

Calm down, we’re on the same side here.

I did no such thing, or at least not intended you. I merely asked what kind of response OP was expecting.

I was on about "It appears as if the OP was naive enough to expect something else" which from her reaction it wasn't what it was inherently, inherently she's disgusted over a subreddit objectifying her, then you said "sweet summer child" which is typically used condescendingly / as a weaponised insult. I have never seen anybody using it in a way that isn't that way and if you did not mean it in that way then I apologise, I'll put my hands up.

I did though, in the first sentence of my response 🤔

You didn't though, you missed the nuance of my question because you said you expected THIS response after my response, which inherently appears as if you're calling my response THIS. The answer I was looking for for what did you expect in terms of content on here and how anybody else should react to subs like this.

I said no such thing. Stop putting words in my mouth.

You said that inherently the OP was naive enough to expect something else, which again is a strawman because there is nowhere that suggests she was expecting something else. Of course I am going to bring that back to what it actually is and say what it is.

Calm down, we’re on the same side here.

I never suggested you were on the different side or attacked your character, I am responding to everything purely by what you're saying.

I thought that „I expected exactly this response“ would clearly be recognized as the response to „What did you expect?“

Well, English is my third language? So probably nuance gets lost. Sorry if that happened.

Okay, I did not know that English is your third language? So probably I would point out you missed nuance.

Just for clarification, did you not mean to call OP "sweet summer child" as an insult?

Just for clarification, did you not mean to call OP "sweet summer child" as an insult?

No, I never intended to insult them. Maybe „Oh well, what did you expect“ would have been better.

Okay, thank you for clarifying, and I'll put my hands up on that one. Purely for you on this and not because I'm trying to be a díck + I am now aware that your third language is English (but I do not know what culture you're from / where you're from), but "Oh well, what did you expect" reads as dismissive and minimisation to Western societies and could cause conflicts, it is also seen as inappropriate in an scenario where a woman is disgusted over a subreddit objectifying her in this place and might be a possibility where some could call it "victim blaming." Though, that doesn't mean to say I am calling it that.

I am from the West so I use Western standards.

That's all. Hope you have a good day and I apologise if I gave you the wrong impression of me. I don't tolerate victím blaming, is all, and if I misinterpret it as such due to textual evidence then I'll do what's right.

Christ, can you channel this energy into actually reporting this sub instead of just making a mountain out of a molehill here?

As they’ve already requested of you, you really do need to take it easy and stop harassing this commenter. I see that you’ve indeed just learned about WAT (you’re prob new to this sub if you’ve missed all the posts about it, and even the latest ones), but your revulsion/frustration is being misplaced rn haha. 😞🤝

    Edit: Fixed dead link

How am I harassing them? Did you not see my last reply where I asked for their clarification? I don't think that would mean harassment to most people.

EDIT: I also have not attacked their character, or suggested they were on the opposite side, like I mentioned earlier; so I don't understand how I am harassing them. They also did not ask anything of me.

HONOURABLE EDIT: Still don't know how I am harassing the person but it wasn't, isn't, and hasn't been my intention anyway and the other thread would suggest I actually de-escalated the situation in the end, not "harassing" or "frustrated."

  • This is what’s wrong with liberal kink ideology, their definition of consent is poor and underdeveloped and causes a dangerous conflation of kink and paraphilia. You cannot consent to identity based kinks. You can only give consent to things that only affect you and said consent is only valid if anyone can do it and someone can opt out of being fetishized. Kinks centered around activities can be ethical because anyone can equally partake in the activity if they choose and if one doesn’t enjoy being fetishized, they can stop partaking in the activity. Kinks centered around identities (something individuals cannot choose to be or not be apart of and affects entire groups) do not qualify. “Kinks” like those are inherently imbalanced and non-consensual hence why they are not kinks, but paraphilias. Since this is non-consensual, that subreddit goes against Reddit’s TOS and should be taken down.

If anyone has any kink-critical sources or materials that they can recommend to me, I’d appreciate.
