I'm just asking who here has taken contraceptive pills? How many years did you take the pills and how many months did it take to get pregnant

  • 12+ years continuously with no period. Got pregnant the first month we tried that I was off of it.

    Which was a huge shock.

This. I was on birth control since I was 18. Got pregnant at 36 on my first half assed try.

    Same exact storyline for me

Yep same for me. Only I was 15 thanks to endometriosis. So 20 years of contraceptive pills then pregnant very quickly. I have had 3 babies and each time I was pregnant within one to three months of trying.

    Same. Wild.

Ditto! on bc since 16 yo -> iud removed in July at 35 yo -> tiny period in August -> positive test in September. We tracked ovulation!

Same! 13 years on the combo pill and got pregnant the first cycle off.

Same for my mom (pills) and me (IUD)

Same here! First try. we waited 2-3 cycles so I would know how long my natural cycles would be and when I would be ovulating

same! I was on the mini pill and got pregnant the first cycle off without trying 😳

Same here but I still had periods. On the pill for about 15 years, went off about a year before trying but got pregnant first month tracking ovulation and trying

ETA: My periods were never really “normal” in that year after going off the pill. Cycles were between 34-45 days and inconsistent

Same. Happened again after three years too

You’re not supposed to never stop, FYI, unless you’re being treated for endometriosis or something. The monthly flow clears the accumulated cells and lining. If you don’t do that, it’s like the perfect environment for uterine cancer. Part of the pill is estrogen, then progesterone has to be used with it to prevent lining accumulation which I assume you didn’t mention. But just estrogen MUST be stopped every 28 days, on average, to create menstrual flow. Women on combined HRT (estrogen and progesterone) must get yearly ultrasound to measure lining thickness and make sure there isn’t excessive buildup or any other issues forming. If this post is accurate and no breaks and no progesterone was given, I can only imagine that experience. While most menses are about 2-3 Tablespoons of menstrual blood, this would have probably needed a surgical intervention for safety. Wow.

Pill wise: expect that you CAN get pregnant from skipping just one pill or after the first period. Absolutely happens, and most BCP are lower in estrogen now than previously (years ago) so most don’t feel much transition, often though, periods are lighter on the pill so that can be different, that is one reason they are prescribed, to lighten periods. I was on/off the pill for more than 20 years starting as a teenager and my sex drive, acne, migraines all improved eventually off the pill, but I always used a condom for BC unless trying to get pregnant. 2nd pregnancy I stopped the pill, used condoms for a year, not for a medical reason, we wanted to be sure we were ready, got pregnant first try on 1st day of ovulation. I knew immediately.

I also discovered that my “irregular “ periods when off the pill were because I had a longer luteal phase, the phase after ovulation was about a week longer, and so 35-42 days for a cycle was normal for me. Tracking basal temp and ovulation predictor are great but you really only need the thermometer if you do it correctly. My longer phase didn’t affect getting pregnant for me — but imagine that your initial phase is longer, that you are targeting day 14-15 and you don’t ovulate until day 22-25. Particularly for those with stringent religious restrictions on intercourse, you’d never conceive. Well worth consulting a fertility specialist if you are 6 months without seeing ovulation (earlier), certainly, or without conception.

Some Drs postulated that months on the pill would create longer fertility — later menopause. This hadn’t been proven to be true. Most women start true menopause at the age of their mothers’ last period.

    Good luck!

I was on it that way due to severe menstrual migraines but was on an estrogen only birth control at the time. I had to stop because it caused liver adenomas. My OB nor any other doctor warned me of that risk. Never had any issues with my uterine lining or anything that required any surgical intervention. Just annual MRIs to monitor my liver now.

Needless to say I can never have estrogen containing medications now.

  • It really varies person to person. Some conceive within the first cycle, others take up to a year for their body to adjust. If you're planning to try soon, maybe talk to your doctor about when to stop and what to expect for your specific situation.

I was someone who took a bit longer to adjust post pill. I think it took me about 6 or 7 months if I recall. I honestly regret taking the pill and think it contributed to some of my infertility problems. I am pregnant now but it took a lot of work. Sadly, I was on the pill for medicinal purposes and not contraceptive so I didn’t really have a choice.

  • I was on the pill for almost 13 years. Took 6 months to get pregnant with trying and tracking. My period came back as normal the month after I stopped taking them.

  • It depends on if someone was on BC just for preventing pregnancy or also to manage something like irregular periods/PCOS. After stopping BC, your period will return to whatever your normal would be if you had never taken it (which may be the same as before you started, or it could be different since you’re older than you were when you started).

For most people who started out with regular periods, their period will return within a few months and could get pregnant as soon as they ovulate - anywhere from a couple days to a few months after stopping BC. Doctors usually recommend waiting to TTC for after your first period off of BC because ovulation will be easier to predict.

  • 10 years straight with my first. Got pregnant immediately but had 3 miscarriages before my son was conceived. Then on bc for another 3.5 years, stopped and immediately got pregnant again - I’m 18 weeks along

  • I took the pill from 16-27, a break for about a year, and then 28-31. Came off it in August, and got pregnant last December. We tracked ovulation the last 2 months of trying to see where my cycle was at.

  • I was on BC from 19 to 22. I got pregnant while on the pill, and we lost that baby. So I stopped bc and I got pregnant the next cycle (baby turns a year old at the end of this month).

  • I was on them for about 8-9 years. Stopped taking them cos I knew I wanted to start trying for a baby in the near future. Was off the pill for about a year and finally started trying for a baby and it took us 4 cycles to get pregnant, currently 7 weeks 😊

Forgot to mention I also took ovulation strips and tracked my bodily changes to really understand my fertile window and to work out when I was ovulating for best chances.

  • For my first, I was on depo for 10 years and got pregnancy within a few cycles. With my second, I was on the mini pill and got pregnant in about 4-5 cycles. With my third and current pregnancy, I was on the mini pill and got pregnant within 2 cycles.

  • Was on for 10 years. Took 8 months to get pregnant. Trying for my second now, but never went back on the pill. Once I was off it I realized how much better I feel without the hormones. So we used condoms until ready to try again.

  • I was on them for 7 years. Stopped the pill in April of 2023. We became pregnant for the first time sept 2025.
Unfortunately it ended it miscarriage early on, tracked my cycle for one month and fell pregnant again!
    7w2d as of now. 🤍

  • I took the pill for 15 years. Stopped in September and conceived during my second natural cycle off of it. It happened a lot quicker than I was expecting, I had thought it would take at least 3 months after stopping.

  • I took the pill from 17-31. I got pregnant 2 months after being off the pill

  • I was on birth control for 15 years before i got pregnant. I must’ve missed a day or two…and that’s how I got pregnant. Obviously, it takes most people much longer to get pregnant, but coming off of the birth control pill isn’t always a barrier!

  • I’ve taken OCPs off and on over the years. Even had an IUD and an implant at different points. This time around, I was on the pill for about 1.5 years. I have PCOS and had some weight loss with a GLP1 for some months during that time. I stopped taking the pill and got pregnant in the first cycle after stopping the pill.

And yes, I do have infertility from my PCOS. I used a medication to induce ovulation with my first pregnancy. I did literally nothing but stop the pill this time around.

  • I took the pill since I was 15. I had 2 shorter breaks in my 20s but mostly I took it almost constantly till we started TTC at 31. My cycle was a mit messy but we conceived 2nd cycle.

Then I was breastfeeding and on the mini pill. regular pill after I stopped breastfeeding 1 year later. we started TTC again at 33. My cycle was a MESS. took 4 cycles of trying (got off the pill 1 months earlier, so 5 cycles since the pill). It was also the first cycle I tracked ovulation.

This ended in a loss and we tried again after my cycle returned. I tracked ovulation and got pregnant right away. I'm 13 weeks now.

I'd strongly recommend going off the pill early to let your body adjust and see how you react. Then when you're ready I'd recommend tracking ovulation. It's annoying, but it's very effective.

  • Took them for 2 years straight. Got pregnant in 2 cycles (weren’t trying but not preventing)

  • I was on it for 5 or 6 years. Quit taking it but wasn't trying to get pregnant. I got pregnant 7 months later.

  • Was on them for about 5 years. Got off of them in June. Got pregnant first month trying in October.

  • I was on the pill from 15-34. Worried it would take a while to get pregnant, but my period was back to regular right away. We tried without really tracking ovulation for a few months then started tracking ovulation and got pregnant the second month.

The Tryingforababy subreddit has an entire google sheet on their wiki with women who used different types of birth control - down to the brand - and how long it took them to conceive after going off.

  • Over 10 years, stopped in February, cycle stayed pretty regular, got pregnant in April!

  • Was on birth control for maybe 8 years? Took me 7 months to get pregnant.

  • I took the pill from 14 (medical reasons) until 36. I also got pregnant at 36. I was probably off them for about 9 months, but 4 of those we weren't trying since we lived in different countries. When we actually started trying it happened on the third cycle.

  • When I got off the pill, after being on and off of it for 9 years (the last 3 or 4 years I was very consistent), we didn’t start trying immediately. I will say it took about 6 months for my periods to become completely regular again, and probably 3 or so months for ovulation to begin regulating. I got pregnant the first time trying, and that was 13 months after stopping the pill. I hope this helps.

  • One cycle and I stopped halfway through a pack… turns out you shouldn’t do that. I was on contraceptives for 12 years

  • I took it for almost 20 years and it took me 3 month to get my period back

  • I was on longer term bc, then the pill for almost a year, stopped right before the wedding, then had our baby almost exactly 10 months after our wedding.

Took 4 years to get #2. Human body is wild.

  • 15 years taking it. 1 month to conceive.

  • I was on the pill for almost 7 years and it took me close to a year to get pregnant with our first daughter. It took some time for me to get back to normal. My doctor also told me to take prenatals as soon as we were ready to start trying.

  • I took the pill from age 12 to 28. I stopped them ~10 months before TTC and got pregnant on the second cycle. I lost that baby, and got pregnant again on the 4th cycle after the loss.

  • I took birth control for over 10 years before I stopped to try to conceive. It took about 3 months for my periods to become regular again and to start ovulating again. It took another 3 months to get pregnant, which ended in miscarriage. Then another 3 months to get pregnant again, which ended up successful.

  • I was on the pill for 11 years, and the last couple years was the type of pill that you take for 3 months and then have a period so I always wondered how that affected things. It took about 6-7 months for my period just to come back, and then by 11 months I got pregnant. I will say I wish I'd started ovulation testing sooner because once I started tracking I got pregnant on the second cycle doing that.

  • I was on the pill for almost 10 years and stopped this October. By Christmas Eve, I was pregnant! About 3 cycles. But, this varies greatly from person to person!

  • I was on the pill for about 14 years and stopped a few weeks before I got married. I started ovulating regularly on my first cycle off it, according to my bbt. We got pregnant the first cycle we tried, 6 months after I quit the pill.

  • I was on the progesterone only pill for about 10-12 years. I did not have periods. I came off it in September 2024 and had a first bleed 3 weeks later. I bled then every month - my cycle started off short but got a bit longer after a few months. I started trying for a baby in march 2025 and got pregnant in August 2025.

  • I was on the pill for 10 years, came off of it for a month or two a couple years ago and never cycled. Went back on, came off again in October 2025. Had a period in November, tested positive on 12/23!

  • On it for 10 years, got pregnant third cycle of trying

  • I have been on contraception since I was 16 years old with the last few years I had an IUD. Took it out and was pregnant within 6 months at 39 years. It really helps to track your cycle and doing the feed when you’re about to ovulate to after the window.

  • I was on the pill for about 15 years. I stopped it for 3 months prior to getting married. TTC took 2 months.

  • Was on the pill for 10 years. Took 5 months to get my period. Tried for 1.5 years unsuccessfully. Did IVF and was successful on first transfer. All together took 23 months from stopping pill to being pregnant.

  • I took BC for 11 years, got off of it Jan 2023, got pregnant March 2023. Took it again after delivery from Nov 2023-Sept 2024, got pregnant in March 2025. Everyone is different!

  • 30yo. On pill for 10 years. Period came back immediately and regularly. Tried for a baby the fourth month off and got pregnant immediately. I was shocked and feel super blessed!!!

  • Was on them 15+ years. Stopped in Oct 2024, got pregnant March 2025, lost the baby, got pregnant August 2025, now 23 weeks along!

  • With my first I took them for 10 years and got pregnant cycle 2. With our second I took them for 2 years and got pregnant successfully pregnant cycle 4. Some people it can take time for it to leave their system, others it does not. I would suggest testing with ovulation strips just to see if your cycle is truly back or not.

  • i got off my birth control in feb 2025 and conceived naturally in november!! it was the best decision i ever made!!

  • 18 years and got pregnant the first month off.

  • I took the pill for 10 years, finally decided to get off it Dec 2024 and found out I was pregnant in June 2025. But that’s not the case for everyone! I’ve had friends get pregnant immediately after getting off the pill

  • I have endometriosis and had surgery to remove it 8 years ago. I had been on some form of contraceptive for 7 years, oral bc for the last 5 of those years. I got pregnant immediately after stopping the birth control but it ended in a loss. It took 5 cycles to get pregnant again and that also ended in a loss. After 9 additional cycles of not conceiving, I underwent another surgery to remove endo and got pregnant 3 cycles later. I’m now 18 weeks. The longer I was off bc the harder it was to get pregnant because my endo kept getting worse.

  • I took birth control pills for 10 years. Ages 19-29. I got off birth control in July. We didn’t actually start trying until October (timing my ovulation) and got pregnant on the first go. I was very surprised.

  • 20 years on, took me 3 months

  • I took from 17 to 27. 5 years of trying and ended up doing multiple fertility treatments.

I think some of it comes from why you took bc to begin with. I was put on it due to irregular periods. And at 17 no one wanted to look any further so the bc was a bandaid fix.

  • 10+ years. Stopped for a few months to track (used pen and paper). First try.

I recommend doing a preconception appointment with your OBGYN to answer all your questions.

  • 6 years on, 3 years off, 5 years on. Took 4 months to get pregnant.

  • I was on BC when I conceived because of antibiotics and my husband and I were like well if it happens it happens earlier than we were anticipating its totally fine. Then boom 4 weeks later pregnant 🤣. But I was basically regular from the time my period started so it was unusual that I was already which is the only reason we even tested.

  • 15+ years on the pill, with the last 3-4 years on a progestin-only pill. Pregnant after first month off, but also was monitoring ovulation with strips and actually trying to time things correctly.

  • We were TTC for 2 years before I was put on the pill for 1 year as treatment for ovarian cysts while I was also getting treatment/surgery for gallbladder issues. Once that year was up, I finally got pregnant 2 cycles later. Due any day now. <3

  • On and off for 10+ years. Stopped taking them April, got pregnant end of May, after 1 cycle.

  • I was on it for about 16 years with a one-year break in the middle of that to see if it was making my migraines worse (not for me).

Got pregnant the first month off of it. Very surprised and had mentally prepared for it to take months to get a normal cycle back and learn to track.

  • I was on various types of birth control for 15-16 years, mainly the pill, but the final 4ish years was a mix of Nuva Ring and the Mirena IUD.

It took 3.5 years to conceive my first. I do have endometriosis though. However, it still took 3 years post-surgery.

  • 13 years. Went off them end of January 2025. Didn’t ovulate till March. Positive test June 2025. So almost 6 months. But I should note we didn’t start actively trying till April/May.

  • Was on the pill for 18 years without stopping. Went off it and took 5 months for cycles to come back, and got pregnant 3 cycles after that.

  • I took pills for 14 years, only got my period 4x a year. We didn’t try to get pregnant for a few months after stopping but once we started trying it took 2 tries.

  • Pill never, but I have the arm implant for 6 years & got pregnant 4 months after taking it out.

  • On the pill for 12 years, took us 28 months 🙃🙃

  • 10 years on the pill, 6 months to get pregnant. Didn’t start officially trying and tracking ovulation until was off the pill for 6 months though!

  • Took the pill 7 years, got off of it and gave my body 3 months before even starting trying - immediately got pregnant first time we tried.

Took the mini pill for 2 years (after my first was born) and immediately got pregnant as soon as I went off it.

I had always heard it can take quite some time to get pregnant after stopping birth control but that was not my experience. Definitely do not stop until you’re 100% ready!

  • I got pregnant the second I stopped.. was on it for maybe a year? Literally our first try.. I was quite shocked but now I have an amazing little 7 month old! Love her so much!

  • I took the pill for 5 years as a teen to regulate my heavy periods. Then when I was 19 I wasn’t able to get a refill on time, wasn’t too safe about it and got pregnant with my first baby boy in the 3 days that I was off of the pill lol. Second time I took it for two years, stopped taking the pill one day because it was causing me acne, and was pregnant the next month with my second boy. After my second was born (at 22) I never got back on the pill, and 3 years later it actually took us 7 months of actively tracking to become pregnant with our third (at 25). Currently pregnant with #4 (at 27) and it took almost a whole year to get pregnant with him. We were actually wanting them to be closer to a year apart but now it will be a 2 year age gap! I actually think being on birth control helped me get pregnant faster, not going to lie! Could’ve also been my age. I started having kids young because cervical cancer runs heavy in my family, all of the women on my side have either had hysterectomies in their 30’s or became infertile by their 30’s, resulting in surrogacy or IVF. I have already had two paps come back abnormal and have had 1 LEEP procedure done. So the birth control thing could’ve been a one off for me as well, since the procedure was done after my second and I slightly struggled to conceive the last two afterwards.

  • Took birth control for years. Went off it for a month before deciding to go back on it for a medical procedure I wanted done. Too late, I was already pregnant.

  • Took them for 15+ years. Conceived about 3 months after stopping.

  • Was on the pill (continuous cycle) for 10 years and got pregnant 9 months after discontinuing!! Always had regular cycles as well.

  • I was on the pill for nearly a decade, and it took me three months to get pregnant after coming off — my cycles just weren’t coming back and I wasn’t ovulating. It really screwed up my system.

  • I was on them since I was 15 and I got off them at 25, took me 9 months with my first kid, second kid only took 2 months after being back on them for 2 years

  • 14 years. 4th cycle.

  • i stopped taking birth control and got a positive test 2 1/2 weeks later i think it just depends on the person

  • Took them religiously for 16 years. Got pregnant 3 months/cycles after I got off them. My cycle was short and strange. But the first month we tried it worked. 34 years old.

  • 1 month, but I was also really bad at taking them and would go months without

  • On combined contraceptives for 5.5 years, and got pregnant the second month off of it.

  • 15 years on the pill, got pregnant the 1st month off of it, had a missed miscarriage with that one at 14.5 weeks (baby tested positive for Down syndrome & that was the cause of the miscarriage) took 10 weeks to get my cycle back after my D&C, had one cycle & got pregnant again after that & lost that one early at 5.5 weeks in a miscarriage. Waited 3 months to try again & we got pregnant on the 3rd cycle & I’m currently 39 weeks pregnant. I’m 32 & my husband is 40 years old.

  • 8+ years on a combination pill. Got pregnant on the first try only three months after quitting. Thought my body would need longer to adjust but guess not!

Edit to add: I tracked ovulation with OPKs.

  • Was on the pill for about 5-6 years and had irregular periods before then. Got pregnant on the first cycle after stopping without really timing anything. I was completely shocked. Friend of mine mentioned it took her a year to regulate after BC so it really just varies I guess.

  • Any one with experience of with skipping periods regularly and the pill? I got put on in 2009 and for about 13 years always skipped my period because my doc said I could. So 13yrs without one. Then in the last few years my new pill has me with a period and even with sugar pills I’m still very irregular with start/stop date and number of days of each cycles sometimes I’m bleeding for 10 days others it’s 4. Sometimes it’s so heavy for days and sometimes it’s not. Some months I don’t have one at all or I’m 2-3 weeks late.

  • 12 years. Got pregnant 4 months in.

  • Took the pill for 16 years straight. Got pregnant within 2 weeks of stopping the pill.

  • I took the pill for 10 years and got pregnant while on it, then took it again for two years and it took me 29 months to get pregnant after stopping.

  • Diagnosed PCOS at 18, was on birth control until 29 when I finally decided to get clean and try for a baby. Was pregnant the same month I stopped.

I do recommend starting prenatals prior to trying and living a healthy lifestyle, both you and your partner. And folic acid for him too (just a regular multivitamin should do it). This was the advice from multiple gyns and endocrinologist.

My baby is now 9 months old!

  • I was on the pill for like 10 years and I missed a couple days and got pregnant immediately 🤷‍♀️

  • 10 years… got pregnant the first month we tried!

  • Almost 10 years of taking it without pausing, so no period. It took me around 1 year to get pregnant.

  • Was on it from ages 18-24. Took us 3 years to get pregnant.

  • I was on it for about 7 years. It took about 3 months to get pregnant.

  • 35 years old, I was on hormonal birth control for 13ish years. I was tracking basal body temperature for a month, got off the pill, 2 weeks later I had a "super ovulation" and got pregnant immediately. I felt the ovulation cramps and everything. Femo health app with 1.5 months of temperature data told me I had a 25% chance but seeing the positive test 2 weeks after that felt more like I had a 99% chance. Absolutely wild since I thought it would take me 6 months to a year.

  • I am a rare case but I started bc pills in early 2016 and was on them until early Jan 2025. I became pregnant in Dec 2024 and stopped the pill when discovered in early Jan 2025. I had a miscarriage in Feb 25 and became pregnant again in early April 25 while still off the pills.

  • My cousin. First cycle. For me. Two years

  • I took pills from 18-28, pregnant 6 months into trying at 29, ended in miscarriage and now pregnant again about 3/4ish months later

  • I got pregnant while on the pill. Set an alarm and took it at the same time everyday. That baby will be 3 in March 😂

  • Almost 5 years. I stopped about 3-4 months before TTC and got pregnant on the first try.

  • I was on the pill for 16 years. Took me about 8 months to get pregnant at 36.

  • 17 years on pill to manage endometriosis, 8 months to get pregnant, could’ve been less as it turns out I ovulate late and got pregnant the first month we used the actual ovulation tests instead of just app tracking. Baby due this month!

  • I took it for 15 years. Stopped for 6 months. Got pregnant my first round.

  • I was on a generic “seasonique” (levonorgestrel) to only have my period every 3 months to reduce my endometriosis after I had surgery. Was on for probably 3 years and when I discussed going off it to conceive with my doctor she said I should get ovulation tests and try to get pregnant “as fast as possible” to limit my endometriosis building back up. It took us 5 cycles to conceive.

  • I was on the implant for years and got pregnant second cycle off it only because my husband wasn’t available during the first cycle because he was out of town lol

  • 8 years on, 11 months off

  • A week after I stopped taking it I was pregnant.

  • 8+ years on the pill, got pregnant two weeks after stopping them 😂. Second baby I was on the IUD and got pregnant before my first cycle came back…

  • I was on it for 13 years starting in sophomore year of high school. Took 14 months to get prego 😔

  • It just depends. I was on the pill for 2.5 years and when I came off of it I had irregular cycles and got diagnosed with PCOS. Tried for 15 months before getting pregnant, but I really only had 6-10 cycles.

  • 15 years, stopped taking them 6 months before trying to get pregnant. Once we started trying and tracking ovulation, it took 4 cycles

  • I took the pill for about 10 years. From 15 to 25. It took us over 2 years and 3 rounds of medicated + triggered intercourse and 3 rounds of IUI, plus 1 chemical pregnancy between those to ultimately get pregnant at 29 y.o.

  • I was on the pill for 16ish years. Took 3 months to get pregnant. I went on the mini pill after that pregnancy, the second I stopped taking it I got pregnant again.

  • It varies person to person. It took me ~3 months for my cycle to get back to normal after getting off the pill. I recommend buying the ovulation sticks. They can help you know when your body is “ready”

  • I took them for 23 years. It took three months.

  • I took them for 3 years stopped Jan 2025 got Pregnant April 2025 but never had a period after I stopped so I think it took my body 3 months to reset and then I got pregnant the 4th month that I would have gotten my period

  • Over 10 years. I decided to take a break 6 months before wanting to conceive and got pregnant the first month of trying

  • About 16 years. It took 4 months to get my period back and one month to get pregnant 🤍

  • 5 years on the pill—got pregnant 6 months later

  • 14 years continuously and without period. Stopped on July 28, had my first ovulation approximately on August 26 and got pregnant on that first one. Had the positive test on September 10 and am now 20 weeks pregnant. It was quite the shock as I was told by my previous doctor it would take months…

I should add that I was on the pill continuously due to irregular periods + endometriosis. Both reasons my doctor made me believe it would take long and be difficult.

  • Was on some form of birth control for 10+ years, mostly IUDs. Removed in March, started trying in June, pregnant in September so 4 cycles.

  • Was on the pill from 17-23 then Nexplanon for 3 years then nothing until getting pregnant at 34. Took 4 cycles, three actually tracked with ovulation strips.

  • I got pregnant while on the pill that had been working for seven+ years until then lol

  • I was on the pills for about a decade - I stopped taking them in February, started trying for a baby in August, and found out I was pregnant in September!

  • My friend took it 10 years. Stopped it 6 months before starting ttc. Got all the proper vitamins and supplements for 4 months before starting trying. Took them 2 try to get pregnant.

  • Took it for ten years, took me 5-6 months to get pregnant. It took me 3 months alone to just normalize my period and figure out my body

  • I took the depo shot when I was 18 for 3 years then I moved to birth control so 21 then I stopped taking it at 29. Tried to get pregnant for a year and half got pregnant this March and just birth at the beginning of December. I'm 34 now.

Also note I found out I got PCOS after getting off bc cause I didn't get a period for 6months

  • I took it for about 6 years , never stopped. And try conceiving after having my period back which it came right back the next month and got preggo in the 2nd month of stopping birth control pills

  • I was on it for about 15 years and got pregnant the first month I got off of it. I did have two miscarriages and I’m 6 months pregnant now with our double rainbow baby.

  • I stopped in January and got my first positive test in April.

  • I was on the pill from 21 to 30 and went off it. I took it continously, skipping the placebo weeks. We tried for 2 months and I got pregnant. But that is not the norm

  • i never took bc, but it took me 11 months
