I agree this is the best looking of today. My favorite is around the F36 4 Series Gran Coupe (4-door fastback). The 3 and 4 series in this generation were peak sedan beauty with the B58 engine. The lines on the sides are sexy as hell. Only thing I don’t like is that fake vent behind the front wheel. Fake vents are stupid.
Why do you say the air intake behind the front wheels is fake? However, I agree that it is the last BMW model that lives up to the BMW DNA standards, as an owner of this marvel.
The air vents or side gills, I don’t know the exact term. The vent that (if real) promotes airflow and reduces turbulence around the front wheel…those are real vents in the OP’s 8 series pic. The vent on this F36 is just for looks. There’s no vent there. The modern Toyota Supra has like 10 fake vents. They’re just plastic inserts without any holes and they get under my skin.

To be fair it's a beautiful car but for me the back end just never felt as well rounded as the F06 did. It's the only car that I owned and almost 6 years on I still miss it. Had many cars since but nothing quite matched the F06, the interior was also for me massively better than any other BMW of the time and probably even till now.
I honestly think that my ‘14 435i Msport is a future classic and one of the most aesthetically appealing BMW coupes-wider/longer and lower than the 3 😀

Aye. Great looking car. I can't go so far as saying it's the best looking BMW of the last few years but yea...it is a nice sight for sure.

M340i looks amazing. Z4 and m240i are also great. Other than that though there's virtually no good G series
G30/31 with lci rear lights is the best bmw ever (lookswise) from the modern gen and old gen, nothing can beat it imo

Last production year for f06 was 2018. Not really modern but I agree f06 looked great too
