I tried unwrapping a spy shot of the Neue Klasse 3 series, and this is where I got to…

Apologies for any resolution issues. I did most of the heavy lifting in photoshop, but it’s very time consuming to do an accurate “Melbourne Red Metallic” finish , so I asked Nano Banana to help with that, hence the slightly different fidelity of the red car. However, I do feel this is quite accurate in terms of body lines, etc, as I tried to follow the spy shots, rather than fill the elements from the G and F series car like what the other renders do (although I did throw in the 868M wheels because I like them).

There's like a dimple or something on the center top of the bumper that looks to go under the hood.

Seems like a bump down the middle of the hood, directly over there "dimple"

And the lights are much wider, with smaller "snouts"

Also think the lower bumper looks more like the recent M2, not a black piece sticking out.

Nice job! I've seen the whole car (in i3 form so without the lower grilles) and there's a couple of graphics between the headlights that no one has gotten so far. They're two lines of lights that approximate a wide kidney grille.

The leading edge of the hood in the final car is pretty close to the Neue Klasse concept. This mule has a bit of an add-on just aft of the badge as a misdirection, I guess

Well, the current G20 3 series is one of the last BMWs in the current lineup that was launched BEFORE the bucktooth trend. The G20 launched in 2019, this design trend began with the M3/4 in 2021. So unfortunately it was probably always going to spread to the standard 3 once it got refreshed.

Well, I did it on top of the spy shot. I get that folks may not like the look, but the lights + front bumper were taken from the Neue Klasse iX3 and made to fit the spy shot’s lines. The headlights fit the spaces, and the middle split of the iX3’s bumper lines up with the one on the spy shot.

The grill shutline, the windows, the wheel arches, the tire outer diameter, the whole rear door outline are clearly drawn on, and deviate significantly from the photo.

And no, the headlights do not fit the spaces either. I don't mind you using nano banana, but it's clearly changing the shape of the car. The inner edge of both headlights are pushed way further apart in the generated image. On the fully visible headlight, the outer corner (pointing at the wheel arch) is in a completely different spot.

It's ok to like your work, but you can't ignore the fact that a lot of the lines are significantly moved.

You had zero reason to change the windshield shape/aspect-ratio for example, it's not camo'd to begin with.

Eh? I literally did patching and warping on top of the spy shot. Took the headlights off the iX3 and adjusted it to match the lines on the spy shot. Did the same with the bumper. The windows I lifted off the Neue Klasse concept and then warped them, but I followed the concept’s “bigger glasshouse” approach.

I get that people may not like the look, but I legit tried lol. AI kept hallucinating and kept giving me bastardised i4’s, so I thought I’ll try to start doing pen tool + patching + warping, and I did try to follow the Neue Klasse sedan concept’s window line, which is probably why it looks a bit different. I’m definitely rusty with photoshop though.

Let me add that I’ve been following the trajectory of the Neue Klasse sedan design since the concept was announced, and BMW did confirm that the separate grille on the iX3 is only for SUV’s. There was also additional insider chatter that the kidneys for the sedan would be generated from the lights within the twin horizontal headlights. Nice work! A few things I noticed:

You missed a big line on the bonnet/hood above the headlights.

The front lip seems to be more pronounced in the spy shots.

The c column and rear window have quite different shapes.

When you look at the bmw ix3 and its previous spyshots you can see that the new kidney grille was completely camoflaged and impossible to make out. I really hope its the same for the new 3 Series. It would look way better with that grille added.

You've just wasted your time. Car design is all about details and proportions. What you've done is just taken anything similar as a details from the ix3 and slapped it on. Windows are too big, the grille is nothing like the original, you've changed the rims as well, and basically asked ai to paint it.
