OP, I've decided to lock this as the question is far too vague. I would suggest doing some research into BDSM. Specifically non-fiction and not within the porn industry.
The wiki is a wonderful source to get started. N for Newbie, B for Book recommendations, D for Dominant, and anything else that sounds good to you.
I think the question might be way too vague to get a direct and specific answer.... if you're asking how does one find people interested, how does one initiate, how are things maintained, how does platonic domination work, or what does tge relationship offer specifically for both parties involved- then maybe we can give some information, but asking for ALL of it? Feels like you haven't done research to lead you to more refined questions...
How does what work? A large portion of BDSM in and of itself does not require anything sexual. It has been highly sexualized, sure, but sex is not required for things to be considered under the BDSM umbrella.
Think about the stuff you consider to be femdom and omit the stuff you consider to be sexual.
This won't look the same for everyone, because having a kink and being turned on by things that most people don't see as sex are different ways to say the same thing.

Do you want to try being more specific?
