I waited over three years for the chance to fire up a smoker again. In that time, I studied countless BBQ channels and blogs, always wondering when I'd get back to it. Yesterday, I finally smoked dino ribs, not perfect, but packed with lessons. Grateful for the process and more opportunities to learn!
P.S. next time and I’m going to leave the membrane on and see how it comes out.
What’d ya spritz with?
Apple juice and apple cider vinegar.
Looks like dial soap in the video lol 😜 What type of bottle is that? Have a link?
Looks absolutely delicious mate, cracking for a first time
Holy moly, looks great bud. Enjoy.
Nice ribs, shitty music.
Ok now this is a crazy take.
You made me mute my phone. Song has no relevance and is super generic. The food looks decent though. I was gifted a 10lb slab of American waygu beef plate ribs this year. I can't wait to cook them.
Is it?
Damn. That looked fantastic all around!
Nice
Nice. Did you get any salt into those before smoking?
Good work. I'd eat it.
It looks great but you put too much effort into it. These ribs cook themselves. Low and slow. Don’t trim the fat.
That looks amazing 👌🏽 great job 🫡
Mmm… the gaps between my teeth feel swole with beef bits just looking at that.
One question though, what’s the price premium on paying for a company to mix and package SPG for you?
That’s a good question. I have no idea. I got my SPG back in Texas, HEB to be exact. It’s so good. Ive used it on every beef cook. But honestly, you can find good ones on Amazon.
I think he's saying that they have salt, pepper, and garlic at your local grocery store for very cheap. Paying someone to mix them together is kind of silly.
Excellent work.
Webber ad looks delicious!
Dude. You mind saying what you learned and the process? I’m new to smoking. Got an idea to get started but it’s intimidating.
Looking at your smoke ring 🤌
Look at them clean fence boards!
Thank you!!!
Way too many wood chunks, only need 2, maybe 3 tops
No sir. Not for this type of cook. I would have agreed if I was smoking burgers or even wings, but since the ribs need 8+ hours in the chamber I have to use more wood
Ive done beef ribs all the time i do about 3 chunks and they are plenty smoky as is. I also just toss chunks on top with one at a location that wouldnt ignite immediately. Never needed to do some some elaborate snake setup.
What interest rate did you get taking out a second to buy the rib?
