So just curious as to what settings people are running their switch games at in Eden/Citron.

I have been using Eden in docked mode with latest turnip drivers and find generally performance is great for the bigger game titles. But performance does take a bit of a hit if you turn off performance mode with smart / fan on.

I also haven't noticed a huge visual difference between docked and undocked mode. So wondering if people think it might be better just to run everything undocked for slightly better battery life / performance?

Also has anyone tried playing 2 player for games like mario kart 8 deluxe over TV out? What is the performance like and what settings are you using for tv out?

  • I would also like to know these things for when mine gets here

  • Stuff like Chained Echoes and Stardew Valley are fine with the latest Turnip drivers and default settings. However, most of the 3D Switch games require tuning of individual game settings.

Check out EmuReady on the app store to find out what works with what settings.

Thanks. You been playing mostly in docked or undocked mode?

The heavier stuff, I play undocked. Everything else, docked.

  • Turnip 26.0.0 rev 5 and Turnip 25.1.0 rev 6 have been good to me so far.

I use firmware 20.5.0 with prod keys that are the same version.

When I get the rom file updates, I dont combine them immediately with SAK (Swiss army Knife). Instead i place the original roms in the es-de folder structure. Then I have all the updates and mods in a downloads folder organized per switch title.

I update the games and apply the mods in Eden itself per title. Finally I reset Eden and clear the cache if I make any game setting changes or GPU driver changes. Going so far as the restart the Thor. Eden automatically resets the cache but I kill the Eden task in android. Ill give Eden a 5 second pause while it automatically clears the title game cache.

Most settings are on the default Eden setting. And so far so good. Most of the issues on Citron go away when I run them on Eden.

After compiling shaders for a bit, roms run great. I even tried Adreno GPU updates from Qualcomm themselves but the most stable ones have been Turnip Drivers.
