Since I started studying and practicing, I've kept a record of all my AP, lucid dreams, failed AP, and ordinary dreams. I also add information about the position I was in while asleep, the time, and the orientation I was facing (north, south, west, east).

Tell me how do you record your AP, or what kind of methods do you use?

  • I do the same - have for a few years.

    I record:

    Date/Time for experiment start,

Sleep pattern during the day before, any strange events the day before, my intention for the AP, my emotional state during the day/week

AP start time (approx) and end-time (I always wake myself up instantly and record end-time).

Waking up condition, any troubles or solutions I had getting into AP state, and the AP experience itself with as much detail as I can.

I used to also record AP direction, moon phase, foods eaten or not eaten that day, meditation durations that day, medication if any - found none of it matters so I don't record that anymore.

  • Yes. I love looking back on silly adventures or profound experiences (I usually remember them anyway but just in case)

  • I do, I've used both physical journals and apps. Apps are more convenient.
Sometimes I add if I was listening to a certain audio. Lately it's been delta waves that work so I write that down.

  • I created a Youtube channel to keep track of my experiences and share them with others. For those that have had many experiences, I totally recommend it. I'm not posting as much as I use to, but I must tell you that after an amazing experience, there is nothing like posting it in a place like Youtube and hearing feedback.

  • I don't. I just try to enjoy them.

  • Id love to jack in and record what is being seen in the actual dream space, AP, lucid dreaming. If i could.hook my self up to a device that could send the brain signals into the visual recordings of a movie or even a program that allows you to navigate the space all around, rewind and fast forward. It would be dope for content creation.

I remember this one psychedelic vision i saw, where it was 2 pigs, animated like Felix the cat, very glossy and shiney mat finish. Their faces had a nice bright smiley face and they were looking at me like I was fiming them and they were the stars. Then a black hole started to enter the shot and you could see their skin being pulled into the black hole as the hole started to circle the pigs, the pigs start trying to run in opposite directions as the hole kept getting closer and spiraling around and around, as the hole got closer the skin kept getting pulled even harder and harder, as the pigs start to lose their footing and really slipping and sliding trying to stay upright their feet were being dragged into the hole. Their faces start to turn from happy to concerned then to terrified at the moment the pressure of the vortex was getting more intense. By then the pigs got fully engulfed into the hole and the camera (my.view point got sucked into the black hole with the environment surrounding the pigs. The view of going into the abyss was epic, all darkness but you can see light being swirled into vortex patterns and the little pink pigs were like being flushed down the toilet drain.

This scene was burned into my memory as it was super vivid and animated like as if produced by a proper cartoon company. Was very profound and intense watching and then participating in the experience.

  • Yeah, I journaled these experiences for most of my life, however mainly the ones that felt significant rather than every single attempt. I’ve still got notes going back to the 90s, and reading them now is the interesting part as I can see recurring themes and how these experiences evolved over time.

The journaling also helped me catch subtleties I’d have missed otherwise, like certain “nodes” I seem to return to where in interact with specific individuals/entities. They don’t always feel like physical places so much as consistent points of contact, where I’m present more as awareness than as ‘me in a body’. Without my journals, I think I would’ve dismissed that as random.

  • Yes . It's just so profound and immaculate so I don't know about others but I can  recall every details of all the Conscious APs that Ive been.

  • I do. I record raw notes on my phone, then put it through a custom project in ChatGPT and have it ask clarifying questions to pull out as much vivid detail as possible. I also have it clarify techniques used, and data that can help me reproduce in the future. Then I have it output it in a journal format. Definitely overkill haha. It’s nice because I have a clean record of all my dreams and AP experiences and can pull out recurring patterns and themes over time. I’ve learned a lot about myself in the process.
