I think this is the first time I have ever seen anyone self report here. I see that they are mocking your screen, I say if you can get good at Ghouls and Ghosts on an LCD display then you are a gamer. Just force it in to 4:3 in order to appease the Gods.
CRT is the ideal way to play the Mega Drive, but availability and price varies wildly. Ask around, sometimes older people still have them or go mudlarking atwaste management facilities. Ebay and Facebook marketplace as well, but CRTs are prone to break if packed incorrectly for shipping. People eill also try and rip you off.
I have a small CRT but plug into a 55" screen for social gaming. I use an OSSC to connect Mega Drive (and similarly aged consoles that output 240p), it is a bit annoying to configure but offers no extra lag in the signal chain, as well as a very 'accurate' image eg the chaos emeralds glow correctly in Sonic games, which often borks modern screens.

I had a line on a nice 32” CRT but wasn’t fast enough to get it. Guy only wanted like $50 for it
You'll need a lot more than money to successfully get it home and where you want it.
Make sure you have a couple buddies lined up to give you a hand and that any carts you use can handle 300lbs.
