Good morning! My 1.5 year old spayed Shih Tzu ate part of a nylabone teething chew a couple days ago. Since then she's been eating normally, playing, going on walks, just generally herself. But she has puked a few times.
Over these past couple days she has now puked 5 times (2 were dry, mostly food and bits of nylabone, and 3 were bile and nylabone, 4 of them this morning). The biggest piece she puked was maybe a quarter inch. I can't be certain if she's pooped anything out, we have another dog and we pick up poo fairly regularly.
I found the nylabone and gave it to her forgetting that I originally took it away because she was eating it. When I realized she was eating it again I immediately took it away and tossed it. She didn't have it very long and when I took it from her it only looked like she had eaten just one nub of the bone part (I can't add pictures, but it's easily found with a Google search).
I understand dogs frequently hide their pain, so I guess I'm just trying to figure out if I should take her to the emergency vet or keep monitoring. I'm fairly certain she's puked all or most of it up (or at least the parts that she can't poo out). If I just continue monitoring should I offer food and water, or just water?
It is literally Christmas Eve morning. I'm in southern New Mexico and the closest emergency clinics are an hour away (not an issue, just info). I appreciate any guidance!
