So took my cat to the Vet in end of November because she was throwing up white foam numerous times in a row over a few days- and stopped eating her kibble entirely but would still eat wet food.

Did an exam- and blood work, everything came back fine besides her kidney levels being slightly elevated so she was prescribed kidney diet food.

Also recommended miralax because her stool was harder than normal- so been putting that in her wet food and has helped her poop become more uniform instead of nuggets.

And she will each her new kibble- but won’t touch the prescription wet food even if it’s mixed into her old food.

Was doing well for about a month- eating, drinking, playing, more active and her fur has been super soft lately.

Well as of last night she’s throwing up again- first food- then she drank a ton of water in the afternoon and threw that up in a bout of 5-6 times in a row.

So she laid around most of the day until dinner time- ate her wet food with no problem, didn’t throw up the rest of the night- until again this morning at 6am with white foam again.

She’s also an overgroomer from having anxiety- and has been on shots before but they only last a few days before she’s back to licking her belly close to pink before she stops.

She’s also never really been a cat to throw up hairballs ever- so I’m wondering if it’s a mix of GERD and hairballs bothering her now since she’s 13.

I don’t believe it’s an obstruction either since the vet checked her with a thermometer and did the belly check her first time around- and said she believed she was fine, since she has still been peeing and pooping- and she doesn’t really eat random things, and normally has hair in her poop from digesting it. And that an x-ray could be done to give peace of mind just in case.

But also figured after almost a month if she did have a partial obstruction she would have gotten a lot worse in the weeks instead of initially seemingly to do a lot better with the new food.

No blood or anything in her puke or stool either.

Could this just be a case of a stomach bug?
