He has done this several times before, where he would remove fur around his tummy from grooming too much. Each time, vets would give him steroid injections which seemed to help discourage him from doing it again.
He started doing it again, only this time hes going for every inch of his body and hes covered in sores. There are no signs of fleas. We have 2 other cats in the house who are totally fine.
Vets gave him another steroid injection but it hasn't helped. We bought a donut cone but being a cat he's too flexible for it to work.
He is eating and drinking normally.

Is he on flea prevention? Are all of the cats? Not seeing fleas doesn’t mean they’re not there.
Not currently. Local vet didnt see any and went for the steroids based on previous use history.
He had one of those hard plastic seresto collars before and he would still overgroom. Only 1 of our cats has a seresto collar currently, as they are £100 each!! years ago when there WERE fleas, those collars were so good they dropped off dead in minutes...
