See them once on this tour if you can. They’re always a good show, but this one has decent visuals to accompany it. Not going to pretend it isn’t expensive, but if you like them enough, I think you’ll def get your money’s worth.
I saw them at Red Rocks a year or two ago. As they came on there was an awesome lightning storm blowing by off in the distance. Needless to say it was a memorable show.
He’s on tour, you should absolutely go if you can.
I went to one of his concerts in September with my family and it was everything I could hope it would be.
It was also my young kids’ first concert, they love his music so we surprised them with the concert +meet&greet.
That man was on stage for like 2.5-3 hours, and THEN he held a meet and greet, signing posters and taking pictures, for at least another 2 hours. And he was so lovely when we met him, like he hadnt just worked SO hard for hours in the heat on stage under the hot lights giving the show his all. He was just vibrant and chatty and asked my kids all sorts of questions about their fav songs and stopped signing the posters to turn and talk to them when they told him their favorite songs and said “oh! I sang that one tonight!” And had a whole conversation with them about it. It would be so easy for him to just nod and “uh-huh, yeah, cool” through what people are saying, but he actually made an effort to engage, and then they told him they really like uhf, and he was locked in and wanted to talk with them about it.
10/10 experience. Even without actually meeting him, the show was amazing and worth every penny.
I was at about 140 when I last counted. Started in ‘94 and did the bulk before 2000. Tapered off a lot after the Baker’s Dozen and lived in NYC for most of my life so about 45 of those were at MSG
My Dad saw OAR 4 times. He doesn’t like OAR, doesn’t know any of their songs. He just happened to be in a bunch of random places over the years where people offered him free tickets. He’s a big fan of free tickets.
I will see the Phish from Vermont four times starting Dec 28 ending New Years Eve which will be shows 127-130 for me. This is largely considered to be amateur-ish within the Phish community.
Probably the String Cheese Incident, I’d guess something like 50 times, with Keller Williams, Phish, STS9, Disco Biscuits, all with 30+ shows. Also all the Dead variations (Dead and Company, Phil and Friends, Further, RatDog, etc.)
Yea it’s just a good hang tbh always a chill time. Not usually as druggy a fandom as phish etc , a nice sweet spot
Dave is also just entertaining, I love the face he makes when he sings hah always cracks me up
Nothing to "lol" about, they have solidified themselves as an all time great band/live performance. Top five band in ticket sales in the last 25 years says something.
Twice when he was with White Zombie. For one show, the other act was the Ramones, which was baller. For the other it was Reverend Horton Heat and Melvins, also great stuff.
My current top 3 at 32 years old are:
• Motionless in White - 22 times
• AFI - 16 times
• KISS - 10 times
I've seen over 800 bands and been to so many festivals and shows I've lost count. As soon as I got my full license I started going to a minimum of 2 shows a month, usually in Montreal, Laval, Ottawa, Toronto, Syracuse, or Albany (the only exception being C-19 times).
Neil Young. At least 60 times in every imagineable configuration at every imagineable venue including with Crazy Horse at the Rúst Bucket show at the Catalyst and Old Princeton Landing. Met him a few times too.
I’ve seen Social Distortion over 100 times since 1987. Seen many bands in the double digits (all of them punk bands) but I’ve made it a point to never miss Social D.
It’s a tie between System of A Down and Metallica. Technically it would be Godsmack but I’ve been kicked out of their show before they ever took the stage all but once.
Hands down and far away, Glen Phillips, lead singer and songwriter for toad the wet sprocket. I’ve seen the band probably four or five times but I’ve seen him solo probably 30 or more times. Every time he comes to town, I go see him and he’s always a joy and a super nice guy on top of that.
Probably Hatebreed. And while I do like them, I’ve never gone to see them intentionally. They’ve just been at a bunch of Ozzfests and openers for other metal bands I’ve seen over the years.
I've seen blink-182 in the last few years a bunch of times. Once Mark cleared the cancer scare I decided I needed to see them live in case anything happened and I enjoyed it so much I continued to see them whenever I could live. Tampa, Miami, Vegas, Columbus, Minneapolis, Buffalo, they have been great in all of their shows!
Lamb of God. The first couple of times tge were opening fir someone else, like Slipnkot or Slayer. They kept ending up at shows I was already going to. Eventually I became a huge fan and I started going to concerts they were headlining. I think I've seen them about a dozen times.
I've seen deftones 14 or 15 times. Nine Inch Nails 5 times, Brand New 5 or 6, and Atmosphere 4 or 5 times, Thrice 5 times, and Minus the Bear 5 times. I'm sure I'm missing some. I went to a concert basically every month between 16 and ~30. I'm 40 now and still try to go to 6-10 a year. Just saw Glassjaw the other night (for the third time).
Black Crowes. Don't know the exact number, but it's definitely pushing 30 times. First saw them open for Aerosmith in 1990. Most recently saw them in 2023.
Violent Femmes, Bad Religion, They Might Be Giants. 25+ times each.
TMBG! I’m amazed how few people appreciate them.
Everybody dies frustrated and sad and that is beautiful.
Bad Religion is easily my highest. Probably NOFX or Lagwagon after that.
Dang I never had friends that liked the same music as me. I always went by myself. Violent femmes and bad religion are two of my favorites.
I just saw the Violent Femmes for the first time. They were great!
coheed and cambria. amazing every time.
Same. I saw them my 6th and 7th time this year. Back to Back dates. Completely worth it.
Nine Inch Nails - 6 times
I'm an amateur, I've only seen them 3 times.
3 for me as well.
Also 3!
Seen them 54 times.
(Thanks nintourhistory.com for helping me track!)
How were the shows? Planning to see them late February in Tulsa for the first time, want to guarantee I’ll get my moneys worth.
See them once on this tour if you can. They’re always a good show, but this one has decent visuals to accompany it. Not going to pretend it isn’t expensive, but if you like them enough, I think you’ll def get your money’s worth.
Primus cause they suck
A band worth seeing every chance you get. They do suck!
Primus sucks Primus sucks Primus sucks
Seen them open for Rush. Twice.
PRIMUS, frog brigade, bastard jazz, I will always make the trip to see anything les claypool is doing. He is amazing to watch live!
Dire Straits and BB King, both 3 times (plus Mark Knopfler solo twice).
I’d love to see Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler
Both are bragging rights. A little jealous.
Grateful Dead, somewhere around 50-60 shows - lost track, long strange trip and all.
I can’t remember how many times I have seen them but there was nothing like a Grateful Dead concert
Username checks out. (~);}
love em to death and back. Wish i was born in time to see Jer bear
Weirdly enough. The blue man group? Do they count?
Did Tobias finally get the part?
He finally blue himself!
There are dozens of us!
Nathaniel Rateliffe and the Night Sweats 3 times…my next goal is to see them at Red Rocks
I saw them at Red Rocks a year or two ago. As they came on there was an awesome lightning storm blowing by off in the distance. Needless to say it was a memorable show.
The Clash. 7 times.
Fucking hell, that’s amazing
Rolling Stones - 97 times
That’s almost once for every year they’ve been performing!
And right at half of Keith’s current age!
COVID looked at Keith and put on a mask.
Didn't know the stones were a 1920's rock band
Stones (small rocks) were named after the band, who had already been perfomring for a long time.
Did you work for them or something? 🙃
Johnny Cash- 7 times
Oh man I am so envious. I turned 18 the year he died. Never got a chance to see him.
I’ve only been to two concerts in my life. Both were Weird Al.
Weird Al is mine too! God, that man can entertain
That was my very first concert, almost 30 years ago. Would love to go again.
He’s on tour, you should absolutely go if you can.
I went to one of his concerts in September with my family and it was everything I could hope it would be.
It was also my young kids’ first concert, they love his music so we surprised them with the concert +meet&greet.

10/10 experience. Even without actually meeting him, the show was amazing and worth every penny.
I’ve seen Weird Al four times. He and Lyle Lovett (ex was super into him) are tied for performers I’ve seen multiple times.
We got our older son tix for Christmas last year and wrapped it with a Weird Al Xmas sweatshirt. The concert was really fun.
Oh nice! Been to three myself, first concert ever at like 7 years
king gizzard
Same. 12 hours or 4 sets. Missing 4+ hours from Bonnaroo canceling last year though.
Grateful Dead. About 125 times.
For me it was Phish. I’ve seen the Grateful Dead the 2nd most times, but I started going to their shows in 1992, so I was late to the game.
How many shows you got? I’m just at 30, but so many people (outside of the scene) can’t believe it when I tell them.
I was at about 140 when I last counted. Started in ‘94 and did the bulk before 2000. Tapered off a lot after the Baker’s Dozen and lived in NYC for most of my life so about 45 of those were at MSG
Your avg. Grateful Dead fan.
That's crazy. I like one show a month for 10 years.
Grateful Dead, about 175 times.
Clutch - 6 times
Deep cut at least in my circles. Everybody move to Canada right now.
My Dad saw OAR 4 times. He doesn’t like OAR, doesn’t know any of their songs. He just happened to be in a bunch of random places over the years where people offered him free tickets. He’s a big fan of free tickets.
Pearl Jam. And every show was completely different from the last.
The best part. Never know the whole setlist.
Pearl Jam
Seen them twice, once in Vancouver, and once in Seattle. Both were absolutely fucking incredible.
I will see the Phish from Vermont four times starting Dec 28 ending New Years Eve which will be shows 127-130 for me. This is largely considered to be amateur-ish within the Phish community.
Yay! The Phish from Vermont
The Phish from Vermont are my favorite adult contemporary band! NYE will be my 108th
Something like 75 times. Give or take.
241 for me
I’m a show away from 100, began seeing them in ‘98. They’re my band. I’d be at 250+ if I could’ve done it!
92 on 12/29 over here, 93 if we can find a reasonably priced 12/30 ticket (lol)
see you at the garden
My people ♥️
Fishbone

Dave Matthews band lol
Same here and I’m not even a fan lol. All of my friends would be going so I was always like why not?
Shut it. I heard you screaming in the back when Two Step started.
DMB is mine as well.
Yea it’s just a good hang tbh always a chill time. Not usually as druggy a fandom as phish etc , a nice sweet spot Dave is also just entertaining, I love the face he makes when he sings hah always cracks me up
