How long usually does it take after getting your statement of liability document on Revenue for the money to be deposited back into your account? Asking coz I’m skint and counting down the precious hours xoxo

  • I did my return on Friday night, got my statement on Tuesday and got my payment into my bank account on Wednesday.

Tax office and passport office....great bunch of lads.

Did my return on the 3rd and it's still processing

  • Usually takes about 3-5 working days once you see it on Revenue, but sometimes it can drag on for like a week or two if they're being slow

Hang in there mate, that sweet rebate money will hit your account soon enough

  • Wasn’t aware I could claim for 2025 yet. Nice one, I’ll sort that next week.

  • Two or three business days. I find it comes a bit faster since I switched my receiving account to Revolut.

  • If you do it via revenue website on your own then few days, but if you do it via sites like Tax Rebate and similar 3rd party websites where you fill your data and they file tax for you then it can take longer.

    Way, way longer

Nah, did it myself. Can’t comprehend how people use third parties to do it? They take a cut when you can do it yourself in 5 minutes!

My co-worker does it cuz he said its "hard" . So I said how much did you pay them last year, he said 150 €.

So I said I will do it for you for 75 € 😂😂😂, he said that is great deal and I will take it. And then he spread the word around office how I know to do tax and will do it for less then Tax Rebate does it.

So now I have 5 people every year asking me to do their taxes for them, easy 375 € in the bank for me every January.

I even went as far as saying I will do it for you but you only need to pay me when you actually get the money and they now think I am some kind of genius saint or something

Unless you’re a tax professional, you could get yourself in hot water doing this

I'm filing it under things that didn't happen

I do my and a few of my mates tax returns. They pay me in coffee.
