Hi all. Stressed out new mother!! Currently with my employer 7 years full time work from home customer care job. Told yesterday around 70 of us are being made redundant. I love my job so super sad about this. Does anyone have any advise on where now to apply for? It would have to be fully remote.
Fully remote is a difficult ask these days, but not entirely impossible. Some contact centres I believe still have fully remote roles (once training is done, which would be on-site for a few weeks), though which ones I unfortunately don't know.
Would you maybe be able to do hybrid of once a week or a few times a month, maybe? Then you could negotiate that with an existing hybrid role?
I get the distinct impression the ladies I speak to at RedClick are WFH. I would try insurance companies as your experience probably suits.
I don’t know one person that’s fully remote if anything everyone is being brought back in for more days in the office
Depends on career level and the nature of the business and the markets covered.
My place still does fully remote if outside of our head office city. If you are based in the head office city it's 2 days in office /hybrid but not policed or tracked depending on the department.
My place isn't hiring however at the moment.
PayPal still have some remote teams, looks like theyre hiring currently on LinkedIn.
EBay, Telus, Otonomee

Check out Apple. All their customer care is remote but they do have strict conditions such as a dedicated office
Check put relatecare they are always understaffed
Oof, you'd need to be desperate, they're understaffed for a reason. Worked there as my first ever job in Ireland, managed literally just long enough to find something else.
That said, a job is a job.
Check Grow Remote they advertise fully remote roles
There are companies that offer WFH but only in a determined area, mine is 50 miles max away from the office and we have to go spare days, and I think that mostly of them will require at least training on site... good luck with the search!
Wow, sounds like you were lucky to get 7 years out of it, but don't fret to much, That's great experience but I'm afraid you'll have to come in to the office a great days now
