Hi everyone. Back in 2008-2011, I was a teenager obsessed with all things Ireland. One day, I used Google Translate to find local forums, and I stumbled upon a very strange site.
The people there claimed to be the 'True Aryans' (more so than the Nazis) because they weren't blonde. They specifically claimed that the ginger gene is not human, but of 'angelic' or 'alien' origin, making them superior.
It got weird when they started tracking my IP address, and then the site went private. Does anyone remember such a group or website? Is this a known fringe conspiracy in Ireland, or did I just find a very specific corner of the dark web?
What do you think about people like them?
was it Jim Corr by any chance?
I don't remember the name
This actually triggered a vague memory of some weird conspiracy I had come across years ago, so I googled it and came across this article

The first section seems to be congruent with the rhetoric coming from whatever community you discovered.

Stormfont (sp!) by any chance?
Hold on, I did no deep dive check this post. But stormfront is a universal name for good ol' nazi shite. Is there an Irish connection?
Only in that they had an Irish chapter, maybe they still do. It was full of ludicrous hate and overwhelming stupidity. We used to go in and mock it on boards.ie now and again in a previous life
Seems unlikely. Ireland has a very low percentage of the population with red hair.
Second highest in the world though, generally speaking?
Widely claimed but very little data to support it.
If it's a fringe movement, it probably doesn't need too many people. And certainly also people who aren't redheads themselves but were redheads as children/their parents were/their partners were/or their children were. Can feel comfortable associating themselves with the group
seriously still very unlikely. it's not even a thing
