Hey there,
Not really reddit savvy but I made an account to ask this.
I (33M) moved a little while back to Dun Laoghaire with my girlfriend.
I know absolutely nobody in the area haha.
I'm into languages, a big foodie, love music and gaming.
Trying to get out of my post-covid introverted shell and I'm just wondering if there's anyone in Dun Laoghaire or the surrounding areas that would like to grab a coffee/walk/a bite to eat and have a wee chat?
Cheers!

There’s a gaming cafe on York Road, might be worth checking out as I know they do evenings and socials etc
Was gonna recommend this place also .
Me too
Are you into bag?
hahahahaha
Henry?
Bag?

Blackrock AC running club not far from you, caters to all abilities (really), very social. Great habit to get into in the new year. It might not be for you but it worked for me in that locality when I just needing a small social outlet.
Have a look in the Library, they sometimes have events on?

Should head over to the Warchest, see if your love of gaming extends to trading cards/board games!
Thanks for all the tips guys and gals and I'll definitely take those on board!
I am more so hoping to chat and meet with a few locals on here for a coffee/walk rather than join up to clubs or taking on new hobbies.
Thanks a mil!
It’s not dun laoghaire centred but there’s an app called Time left that pairs you with 5 strangers for dinner very Wednesday, I’ve done it 4 times and it’s always interesting, I’ve made one close friend from it and some acquaintances
Omg this sounds awesome! Right up my street! Thanks a mil!
Great suggestion !
Not living there but i cannot recommend enough the Vanilla pod for food, everything on the menu is fantastic

Head under water, great place for a chat.
😂😂😂😂
If you go 40ft they don’t swim, just jump in and back out. More of a social scene in the dry robes and coffee after
