For 6+ months my ALT and AST have been elevated... usually in the 200 range, but have jumped to the 400 and 500 range, with my ALT levels ALWAYS being higher than my ALT levels. My levels have dropped 200 points in 7 days, and then sky rocketed back up again.
I am a 33 y/o female that leads a healthy lifestyle and I'm really confused what's causing this. My hepatologist said with levels this high I am 'consuming a chemical compound'... but I have tested and removed everything that she has asked.
Notes:
-I have ITP
-I have drank little to no alcohol in the last 6 months since finding out I have elevated enzymes
-I have removed all use of melatonin, even though I used it irregularly
-I have tested different coating on my ADD medication that I have taken for 12+ years
- I got a transjugular liver biopsy and the pathologists said the tissue samples were very hard to read
-I have drank only bottled water for the past 4 weeks thinking it could be the pipes in my old building
- I have slept with the windows open in the dead of winter to see if it had to do with some exposure in my apartment.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I'm starting to run out to things to test and I'm losing hope...

Also, in May of 2024 my levels were totally normal - in the high 20's. The only thing that has changed between May 2024 and June 2025 when I discovered this is that I have moved in to a new apartment building.

My MRCP does not show PSC and there is no advanced fibrosis (stage 0-1) on the 1st biopsy sample taken months back.
