I fell asleep at 01:40, at 02:20 I woke up to a bang and then I heard arguing. I rushed out of bed thinking someone was in the house, but I found nobody, girlfriend was in the bathroom and dropped the soap holder into the sink, she nor anybody else, because there was nobody else, had argued or even said a word.

After she told me everything was fine, my heart started beating stronger than it ever had, and irregular too. I couldn't breathe properly and both my heart and lungs hurt. My vision went almost black, so I turned on a light and suddenly it was bright and very very purple. With all this, I'm panicking a lot, and then I get this sound of like 1000 crickets in both ears, I'm pretty much shouting asking her to call 111 but I couldn't hear her or myself because of this noise... and to top it off, I get a terrible headache to the right centre of the top of my skull.

It lasted about 5 minutes and then suddenly disappeared, and I just felt cold and sick, it's been almost an hour and I still can't stop shaking, not sure if I'm being overly dramatic but I have a history of hallucinations and nothing has ever been this bad, I'm shit scared.

She didn't call 111 luckily and I don't think I needed it, but now I'm just sitting alone in my room paranoid that it or a hallucination will come again randomly..

18M diagnosed with autism (no support needs) and OCD, no medication. when I say girlfriend, it's ex girlfriend because we broke up last week and are still living together till she gets her own place, so maybe this was stress related but it was too scary to ignore

  • Sounds like a vasovagal response- when your vagus nerve gets triggered in response to an emotional event or stress. Common symptoms are fainting or near- fainting, feeling dizzy, lightheaded clammy and momentarily disoriented. You recover fairly quickly.
