I have a very beginner setup(no tracking):
Celestron Powerseeker 76AZ with 9mm and 32mm(this image) eyepieces.
When using the 9mm eyepiece i cannot see the dark thing BUT when i use an adapter to hold my phone upto the 32mm eyepiece no matter what i do it doesnt go fully(well i got a point where there were no dark regions but I cant achieve it again.)
Please tell me how to fix this.
(This is the Orion Nebula 2s exposure)
Fairly common artifact when imaging through an eyepiece: It's caused by misalignment between the eyepiece and your camera. Try using something to hold the cell phone in a precise position.
OK thanks!
Looks like it might be kidney beaning, which is just a normal part of some eyepieces.
You'll have to find the precise focal point where there is minimal kidney beaning. A cell phone holder would be very helpful if trying to do projection imaging.
I do have a cell phone holder!
