I’m not sure if anyone else feels this way, but there is so much wasted space on this map. It’s full of these giant hangers that have almost no looting points. Actually much of looting in this map is gated behind keys. Making entire areas of the map feel pointless.

  • spaceport makes it so clear that the devs only made the red and yellow marked zones as a joke to trick new players. there's that hanger on the east marked as a red loot zone that contains precisely fuck all every single match lol

Yeah i don't get it. There's a few red lockers and like one truck you can loot

the only value i've ever gotten from it is farming a few pops to get their pop triggers to make fireworks

What a relief, I was starting to think I was stupid because I couldn’t find the loot

Was one of the original PVE maps before they pivot

Which is funny because now it feels like a pvp map with all the sniper towers it's really about moving around unseen and ambushing/trying not to be ambushed by people as they rotate between the handful of decent loot spots

One of the worst parts about going from pve to pvp is the maps aren’t made for pvp at all. All the fighting is based around peeking a corner, usually standing in a doorway. I wish there was more crouch based cover on these maps, or any really.

Dude part of the reason I generally don't engage in the PvP side of the game is because it fucking sucks.

I play the shit out of The Finals, Embark's actual PvP game, and the gunplay and clarity of what the fuck is going on is night and day.

I don't find shooting players in this game very fun or satisfying. Did I just hit him? I don't know. How much damage? I don't know. We just spit bullets and a fuckton of shitty sound effects and particle effects go whizzing everywhere until one of us falls over.

    It sucks.

What you want damage numbers to pop up like it’s TF2?? The PvP feedback in this game is unmatched, what are you smoking.

Thank god Embark doesn’t pay attention to intellectual dead ends like you.

    People love camping those towers

Container storage? The loot is in the top shelf office you gotta breach.

    And in the key room.

There's several lootable cargo containers at the bottom as well.

And for rocket assembly there's the red lockers at the back but towards the front up on the rafters there's a bunch more lockers too that I only discovered after 190+ hours 😂

It's a red loot zone just because of the locked room.

That's it. The rest of the building is basically empty and just has a couple rusted crates to breach. I think that key is only green tier as well.

The rest of the building is basically empty and just has a couple rusted crates to breach.

Don't forget the large shipping containers. They spawn drawers that contain nice stuff.

I've got many a blueprint from them

They are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get.

Haha, it’s like assembly line being a yellow zone

I think a lot of people dont know that you can loot the shipping containers that have exposed panels with boxes. You can defintiley get an inventory of loot, but I would argue that even then theyre some of the worst places to loot in the whole game because you are insanely exposed.

You can get shot from pretty much anywhere, and usually after making a possible death run from the east spawns because of how wide open that shit is.

Spaceport is probably just the worst loot value per hour in the game.

there's that hanger on the east marked as a red loot zone that contains precisely fuck all every single match lol

You need to check the shipping containers. They have lootable drawers.

And that building has a key room on the top floor.

the key room, the breachable room, the office room, the containers.. the "no loot on spaceport" threads are wild to me

And spaceport also has good loot quality if you are looking for mechanical, electrical and technological parts. All the stuff that recycles into high-value components.

I just spawned on spaceport, breached the box right in front of me and ... Vulcano BP.

I think it creates more ways to play for people who aren't just gung ho run to the center looters. Its good for fighting arc, and there are a ton of small locations buildings with loot. Not every map needs to be another buried city

I'm not saying its bad that these locations exist, in fact I love going to them. But it's objectively bad that the map straight up lies to you when it calls these areas high loot value zones

I meant to reply to op, I actually agree with you 100%

No no no, the joke is the rarity coding of keys!

I love how like at the damn, the high loot areas hardly ever have anything of value. maybe a level 2 print now and again, but thats about it. I guess Dam is supposed to be the beginner map maybe? But still, every map should really have the average some difficulty in high loot areas.

There’s also a shitload of great loot outside of those zones. I think some folks only go to the outlines zones.

  • Other than arrival building, departure building and the towers in the middle everything else is super dog. The key rooms are okay. The breaches were the only reason I ever ran that map there is a few. Underground can be good sometimes with 2-3 weapon cases. But yeah it is probably just a pve map imo the queen and matriarch fit well on that map to fill some of the void but yeah if I want loot I'll just play stella lol

And the crappiest part is it's far and away the worst map to fight the big robots on,  because 95% of the time you're also dealing with people there only to kill the players kitted for PVE.

Ya I just got that in a matriarch match. I don't understand why do people come to matriarch for pvp.

What do you mean? They load into the map to kill people with kitted out PVE guns and the valuable ammo. Then finish the job with your weapons. :(

They don't even finish the job, they're not interested in pve and or don't want to draw attention, so all that loot is just sold

I killed a team on that map the other night who must’ve been hoping to snag a bastion kill, but we ran into each other and started blasting. When I looted the photoelectric cloak and deadlines off of one, I told my buddy we had to complete their work, and we killed a bastion with their stuff. We let no part of the raider go to waste.

A lot of the time they don't even finish the job. Harvesting the raiders actually trying to fight for humanity's place on the surface has become a sick little industry sector all on its own.

    valuable ammo

oh I see it's the 6 stacks of heavy ammos they're after

its the launcher ammo and energy clips, those are quite expensive

Being purposely obtuse > Making an actual point

They are making a point. Very few people are using those guns. Most matriarch/queen matches are full of ferros, renegades, and maybe a few ospreys.

The point is that while high-value PvE gear exists, it's typically not being used, so it's not what you're going to get when you PK somebody, and you can easily tell that they're not using it. The point is also that the reason it's not used is because it's way too expensive while PvP gear is way too cheap, so it's not worth the risk.

A lot of players just like to grief and gank PvE player even if they don't directly use the loot.

Because some people get off on being a douche canoe, and can only get good if they're going out of their way to make someone else miserable.

If there was no pvp, killing the queen or matriarch would be an easy boring task you would do 3 times.

Weekday night lobbies are chill and everybody fights the matriarch together. It typically take like ~15 minutes and it's a lot of fun. The key is to always priority Rocketeers when they spawn.

Yeah seriously, some of the most fun I’ve had in the game is solo queuing into the matriarch matches and taking it down with the lobby all working together.

Having like 7 solos posted up fighting the Matriarch on damn is so fucking epic, avoiding attacks, healing up, reviving people. The most epic thing I've seen in this game was doing that and then having a Leaper fly up from the Matriarch and land in the middle of us and then having everyone pile on while it tried to kill me lol.

This is false. Most lobbies can’t even finish the job even without PvP. Every matriarch fight is intense and results in pve drama. I hate people trying to say this would be boring without lame ass backstabbers ruining an entire lobby. I would enjoy the matriarch 1000% times more without PvP and I have completed at least a dozen at this point. I don’t even need the cores and I still do the event because to me it’s the best experience in the game. PvP in Stella is fun - the danger of PvP in regular matches adds tension. In the matriarch and queen fights it’s just a huge buzz kill and ruins some fantastic emergent gameplay.

Eh, it's not too bad, if you can find a tower to shoot from you can set up jolts and fortifications. I'd say Damn is worse, due to how easy it is to bushwookie from the cliffs.

Complaining about people shooting you in an extraction shooter feels a little like getting upset that someone tackled you in football.

It's an observation, not a complaint. I have 3,000 hours in Tarkov and 400 knockouts in this game despite generally playing passively. I'm aware people shoot other people.

I loaded in with 17 mins left on back 2 back night raids on spaceport and there was literally nothing left to loot. Kinda annoying.

I seem to get into every game with little time left. I load in, see the clock and just find the nearest raider hatch and leave and try again. happens more times then not

I pretty much run spaceport for parts like batteries and then do the bunker to farm the bastions and bombardier for parts especially for making energy ammo to offload.

Uh, you have the trench towers that are decent, you have the perimeter towers thst usually have breachers, you also have several security checkpoints in the spaceport grounds. You also have the security booths near the parking lot at the front and multiple buildings with lockers. Asking for more loot on Spaceport is an incredibly wild take. There's tons of loot.

I think their problem is it's so spread out and if you don't hit the few dense areas it takes much longer to get it. I rarely play the map simply cause it takes ages to run from anywhere to where you want to go and it's extremely open while doing so in a lot of cases with bad spawns. I pretty much only go there for security breaches, and target farming batteries or oil or some other thing that has a lot of almost guaranteed spawns on that map.

    There's tons of loot.

Don't forget the large shipping containers that are everywhere on the map and can spawn lootable drawers.

Also the random warehouse buildings around the outside. They all have offices with pretty good loot pools and a decent number of drawers.

It is just that everyone keeps running towards the same few spots popularized by streamers. Arrival building has a nice locker room and medical room and little corner office, but everyone keeps rushing to the same upstairs office to fight over who gets to breach the door. The random bunkers and towers across the spaceport as well as the tunnels also have decent loot. There's also some pretty hidden spots for loot bags, medic bags, and even weapon crates that people who don't explore properly just run past. It is all so spread out that there's really no point to fight or rush over the loot aside from a select few of the buildings.

There's a second Bastion that Spawns (forget the locations name) by the two small yellow towers at the back of the Map. BTW the yellow towers you need a key card for BOTH towers so not sure why It's a Yellow loot area, but there's a whole strip of land where the Bastion roams and many small corridors and outbuildings to the side which have next to zero loot In them.

If you have a trench key hit that then breach an get out via the hatch is a good run.

    Trench Towers are amazing

The matriarch really does fill out the space well. Would be cool if there was a unique boss that just always lived on spaceport and "nested" on a random building each time (or even just lived on the launch towers)

Came here for this, I literally just B line to departure, arrival, container storage for the red lockers and if it’s too late on the map I’m not even bothering to hit the main central towers. Spaceport is the quickest, load in loot and leave map of all time.

Also If I need to kill some ground arcs it’s easy as hell to find a closed space to aggro a leaper or bombadier/bastion and just go ham get the exp and loot and get out. Never have I ever had PvP either on this map.

The towers around the edge are generally good, good chance of weapon crates in them along with the security lockers. The bunkers generally have good lootable containers.

Imo the central and southern map are fantastic, but the north side of the map doesn’t give you much of anything to loot unless you need a big arc or the mullein in the trench, or unless you have one of those tower keys. I think they should make the area around those keys loot rich so you have more chances of an enemy team contesting your key room loot.

Spaceport is basically my fav map to play and I’ve spent probably 100 of my 200 hours played on it lol. So those are my thoughts. Hope to see it improved bc there’s so many cool buildings and height differences to make team fights super fun when you get them.

  • Departure building has lots of desks

But I haven't really found a good spot otherwise

Arrival is decent as well. As is the tower itself. And you can get exodus stuff in lockers near rocket storage. But this map needs more looting spots, especially since everywhere but Departure you're going to need to hit up another place to be full.

You can easily be full on the towers alone. I run them most days as duos and both of us end up full off the two top rooms and a bottom room. We never hit both bottom sides, that’s just asking for it.

A good spawn and we’re done at 25 and at a hatch by 23. Add 1-2 mins per team that needs to be KO’d or for a bad spawn, and it ends up a very efficient medium-value run.

    2 keys per run tho?

Hatch keys? Yes, always when on loot runs. There have been times where it’s simply impossible to reach the guy’s body with the hatch key. When everyone has a hatch, everyone has a chance to get out.

Nice part is this run only needs hatch keys, and I usually get the sensors for like 3+ hatch keys per run so it sustains itself even if you get killed on some of them.

Which towers? The guard towers on the perimeter or the trench towers that require keys or the control tower?

They’re talking about the towers in the middle- the bottom rooms he mentioned usually have 3-6 lockers each, and the top has 0-2 weapon creates, 0-1 med bags, usually 1-3 explosive containers, and then like two dozen of other things like lockers, breachables, drawers, etc.

There are hutch key exists under the map about 100 yards east, you’ll leave and slide down that slope and go to the ladder hutch, slide down, and then run left to the nearest hatch exit. It’s a fun run and sometimes you get really fun fights in the towers

The guard towers around the perimeter are also generally worth checking imo. There are a good chance of weapon crates, and my buddies and i frequently find blue weapons in the drawers in them. We’ve stopped rushing to get the security locker first to rush for the drawers bc the weapon drop is usually better 😂

The fights on the towers are honestly hilarious. I can’t count the amount of times myself and/or opponents do something ridiculously dumb and flip the table to the other side. They are a lot more lighthearted too, as there’s so many ways to back out of that particular fight, few people aren’t banting semi-cordially over prox at the end.

Oh yeah dude it’s the best lol. We’ve been taking firework kits up there to try to attract people to fights us before wipe

Ohhhh launch site in the middle! That's definitely a hotspot. I'll try it later. I'm usually security breaches on spaceport or not enjoying the run.

Yeah with the security breach change I feel like the perimeter tower/bunker runs aren’t going to be as worth as other buildings, but may still be worth checking if they’re nearby while you’re running around.

I also personally LOVE the container store when I’m looking for a fight. Lots of scrapping there and often shooting at folks in the building right across.

I like the dam power rod area for a similar reason.

So is there a guaranteed spawn for a power rod there? I rarely loot that side of Dam since I pretty much always spawn on the other side of Dam or my objectives have me go elsewhere.

Northern section of the dam has a room unlocked via power rod, but the area almost always spawns advanced electronic components and the sensors to make keys. The locked room spawns good loot as well. Power rod needs to be brought but can drop from the yellow server machine looking things.

if you really need oil the fuel building has some guaranteed in the breachables.

There's a few other good spots, but there's so much running between them.

Northern area around the trench towers has a ton of nature related loot, and an infamous dead tree with guaranteed mushrooms spawns

This comment reminds me of how fun it is that they don't tell us this kind of stuff outright, and the playerbase has to explore and find it organically.

I like that I had no fucking clue about this dead tree, but someone else found it and reported it back to the rest of us. It feels very much like something raiders would actually do.

Departure, arrivals, Container Store barricaded room, the security towers (even if you don’t have the security locker perk there are weapon crates), Launch Towers, A6 even if you don’t have the key, and the trench has tons of mullein. North trench also has big arc sometimes and they usually don’t get contested.

Also tons of grey buildings on the south half have lots of lockers and drawers

It’s my fav map so trying to spread some tips in this thread in case others dont know

  • it and dam used to be one map when it was a pve only game. they split them apart after they changed to pvpve, probably why it's so much empty space. was designed for different gameplay.

Yep, buried city feels well designed in comparison

Buried city is a large area cod style pvp map.

They talk about how they made Buried City after they switched to the new game design. But it's weird they don't even mention Blue Gate.

Interesting history lesson, thanks for sharing this.

Watch the making of doc on Embark's YouTube, it's really good.

    Thanks for the tip, raider!

This makes so much sense because they genuine feel like extensions of each other

It’s a shame because those are the only maps with decent long range areas. Buried city, Stella montid and the good areas of blue gate are low range PvP areas.

I think part of the reason they shifted towards that after the pivot is more concentrated maps and loot encourages more player interaction (of both hostile and co-operative and mixed), at least that would make sense to me, since their aim is to get that sort of thing to get a variety of gameplay that can happen.

Idk k shoot plenty of people on spaceport. I just like having a reason to bring a gun that’s optimal range is past 10m

I do think those maps are too sparse, but they have plenty of interaction.

And funnily enough, both are my favourite maps. The others are too cramped for my taste. I love the open spaces on those maps, crossing those is always so tense.

  • Yep. Spaceport consists of:

    A) Bumrushing launch tower or a locked room

    B) going straight to a quest location

    C) going straight to the dedicated big Arc spawns/Raider camp POIs for Trials

Which is a shame because it's a cool map.

  • I like spaceport a lot but I agree with this a lot. I feel like the loot you’ll have access to is highly spawn dependent. You either spawn next to a big building, or you don’t. If you don’t you’re kinda left to scavenge scraps. Hence for my expedition grind I play either Dam battlegrounds or Stella depending on my tolerance for PvP density

  • Some of the areas can be utilized better. Though it is a space port. There will be long distances. And that map especially has area of wide open no cover zones. I am going to play devils advocate though. This to me makes sense. Some maps push raiders to use their arsenal of tools. Some maps require certain tools.

For example, when I go to spaceport I always try to bring barricade kits and zip lines. I know I’m going to need to require crossing these no cover open spaces more efficiently and effectively. I don’t want to get caught by rocketeer when making my way to the terminal towers.

This promotes the use of different tools for different environments.

I think we’re talking about two very different things. I completely agree with you. I don’t suggest changing anything about the geometry or design of this map. The wide open spaces force you to play differently and I like that as well.

What I’m saying is the map is filled with buildings with almost nothing to loot inside of them. They absolutely need to add more containers to search.

You’re right. Like the warehouses could have more “office areas” with desks and lockers. For example, the rocket assembly warehouse has literally like 4 things to loot in that entire place. They could easily add a second floor with tons more loot areas.

All they have to do is put arrival and departure on opposite sides of the map. They’re both some of the best loot in the game and for some reason right next to each other in addition to like 3 breachable door rooms and 6 security lockers.

And the 2 security towers that are on the sides of those buildings too.

Make parts of the rocket assemblies lootable too! Mechanical parts, metal parts, advanced electronics, etc.

Rocket assembly on snow condition is kinda goated. Theres the shelving at the northern entrance with a seems to be guaranteed rocket engine, then to the red lockers at the back, the breachable electric panel things around the wall from them. From there go to the stairs and check the little wall panel things there and the blue lockers up top. Theres two rows one in the middle of the building and one towards the eastern side. Then there's usually two of those breachable square crate things on the roof with a grenade tube, ammo box, or weapon crate spawning on the scaffolding. In duos me and my buddy check this not super often checked place and come out with full nearly all blue inventory in less than 5 minutes.

Then you can use the hatch at the back where the trench is. Hit the mushroom tree for some extra funds of needed

rocket assembly has three sets of lockers, 3-4 breachable generators, both sides of that big yellow thing is breachable, there’s shit laying on the shelf, you’ve also got 2-3 of those blue machines where you breach the panel at the bottom as well. there is so much to loot in rocket assembly lmao

Except the room is wide open with loud metal floors and multiple ways to enter. It's a deathtrap essentially, which means the reward does not out weigh the risk.

It needs better loot to be worth all those downsides.

didn’t know we were discussing the safety of rooms in spaceport - also you literally get exodus modules and magnetic accelerators pretty much guaranteed - on top of it having tons of containers to open giving you a better chance at BPs. that building is so good lol

Literally never been killed here once and have scored nice loot as you said.

same but i didn’t mention that cause it had nothing to do with what we were talking about lmao

It is in the area of the map with the fewest spawns. There's only one spawn close to it, so it is basically guaranteed loot. Although that spawn is great for launch tower too. The spawn further north is on the wrong side of the trench, so they need to get through or around that first. If the trench spawn goes to rocket assembly they have a good chance to find it untouched but if the close spawn is fast enough, it'll already be empty. The spawn in the tunnels to the south-west is a good one to loot the launch tower so they'll go there instead. The spawn behind the warehouse to the east is pretty far away and if they wanted to pvp for loot, they'd be better off looting the warehouse and then ambushing whoever opened container storage.

Tbh it is a pretty safe area. Even if it is late in the match nobody is going to go there if they didn't spawn at the close spawn or the trench spawn.

Yeah if you really broke it down, i’d wager that spaceport has way less average loot per square meter than any of the other maps. It’s fine if there are vast swaths of land that are empty or exposed, but when you finally enter a loot location it should be stacked. Instead the loot locations are comparable to any other map. You can spawn in on buried city and fill your inventory without leaving a 50 meter radius, but in space port you might have to walk 400 yards to the first building that has like one desk in it

Especially given the risk of having to cross all those wide open spaces. If anything, the loot should be better to make up for that, not worse.

Tbh I think you need to explore the map more. I usually leave spaceport gooped out of my mind. But I’ve spent a lot of time there, so not trying to come down on you or anyone else. But I’ve already been able to share some tips to others in this thread and I hope it becomes your fav map like it is mine.

You kind of avoided his point though about looting points

Never once used zips or barrcades in 150 hours and never aggroed a rocketeer on Spaceport

I was so sad when I first climbed into some of the broken rocket parts only for there to be absolutely nothing inside. At the very least there should be some mechanical/electrical/tech salvage in there.

  • Went from my favorite map early game to my least favorite map late game. Container storage is just awful for a red area

  • I hate spaceport... Lots of empty space, a few good loot spots that get emptied out immediately by the players with close spawns then everyone else just runs between hollowed out buildings. It just feels like a waste of space. I'd say it's a good pvp map but Stella is a good pvp map with way better loot so once again I got no need for Spaceport

  • She much running in open spaces on that map. Key rooms are mediocre at best. Most of the time they sucks. I get better loot in Grandioso apartments.

  • The map has good loot overall in my experience but it does have some weird spots. It feels like they could cut like 300 meters around the whole edge and it would at least feel better. The whole eastern side is pretty much pointless unless you have trench tower keys except for fuel control which has pretty good loot for me. Container storage, arrival and departure, launch tower, the tunnel, control tower, and then the guard towers around the perimeter wall and some of the little bunker buildings have good loot potential with the later 2 being better if you have security breach.

The whole eastern side is pretty much pointless unless you have trench tower keys

Trench towers are on the west side of the map, right?

They’re towards the upper right side of the map which puts them more northeast.

  • I probably pull a quarter of the loot from SP as I do from Buried city. Half the loot, twice the time in raid to find it for spaceport. No thanks. I'm only there for quests

  • And it’s a shame because I really enjoy the vibe, that map in particular really helps the lore and world feel real to me. I want to spend time living in it, but I hate sprinting and chaining adrenaline shots.

  • I love Spaceport. It's one of my favourite maps for loot...There is loads in various towers. And it's a good map to kill a Leaper...

  • I dig spaceport a lot, but I hate whenever I'm near container storage, nothing going on over there.

  • Not only Is there wasted space, there are not enough flying Arc. Countless times I look around that huge Map and there's nothing In the skies nor a soul around.

I wish they would randomize the good loot areas on all the Maps.

there are not enough flying Arc

Though if you get caught by a hornet and two wasps too far from the next building, you're toast.

  • I was shocked when I first played that map.. I ran around for like over 20 minutes and barely found a container to loot.

  • That's what's so cool about it. Raiders come from every angle, across every distance, to the same enclosed area. Spaceport is like a bunch of mini maps arranged around a tower, all distant from one another. I for one heavily fuck with that concept

I like it for killing Arc, that's about it

  • Hell even Buried City feels like a waste of time if you get there 5 minutes after the match starts

Buried city has sooooo many "secret" goated loot spots that aren't marked on the map.

Hitting those up you always find plenty of stuff, BC has a huge loot density

It does seem to be sprint and loot simulator right now.

I feel like Arc needs to be much more oppressive. Raiders just run circles around then most of the time.

Also high value loot areas need to rotate and not be marked on the map.

  • It's worse on spaceport

  • They really need to fill out some of the buildings outside of the main walls. Majority of them are never worth looking in as they rarely have anything.

  • I get it for sure. Personally as a solo that just wants to chill it’s a pretty decent map to take a break

  • There's quite a lot of valuable loot spots on Spaceport. Most of the good stuff isn't in a key room. Although out of all the maps, Spaceport was probably most heavily reliant on security lockers. Those not always spawning makes the many dangerous choke points on the map much more inconsistent for the level of risk.

  • I was looking for industrial batteries on this map in the cold(2x) for like an hour and a half today, maybe 2 hours. Found none because all the yellow "industrial areas" have like 4 freakin containers total. It's pretty rough lol.

  • There are two types of people in Spaceport: the Ospreys, and the Osprey-nots

  • Agreed. The map has lost a bunch of rotation for me, since they randomized the Security Lockers. This used to be the map I'd play, to hit some of them up. Now, I'm not finding them anywhere, and the regular loot is just bumming me out. The locked rooms keep coming up with almost nothing, for me. So, they're not worth the hassle, either. I know a lot of it is luck, but it is still a bummer.

  • Yeah... The Exodus building especially is actually a joke, there's like 3 lootable containers on the entire warehouse

  • I feel the same way about spaceport.

It’s vast, looks the part of a derelict spaceport with the building designs, the space between buildings for past space vehicles n all that.

Rarely go in but tried it recently on the cold snap.

Was a mistake! Forgot how far you spawn in half the time so straight up running looking for a building in the snow.

    Not enough looting spots.

The ones that are there however are medium and high loot spots, but unlike dam or buried city, there isn’t much other loot spots.

Still, would help if I grow a pair and start exploring solo on day runs.

Will probably try once I’ve done the expedition.

But finding it easier to stick to maps I know for now.

Also I play in groups normally so little chance to find enough looting spots for 3 of us without encountering gunfire.

  • I’ve run spaceport like 3 times and am level 75. Map is a running sim if you don’t go to the center area and you still don’t get shit from the outer areas

  • I find spaceport to be one of the better looting maps.

  • Spaceport is one of the maps they started when it was just PvE vs the big boss robots, they just filled it in to make it better. It would be great if they’d add more to the outer edges there’s no reason to go there.

  • Spaceport was designed for the big boss fights it’s not great for looting for sure.

  • I agree. The longer I play the more I start to see where the changes from pve to PvP took place. I can’t help feeling like there’s an unfinished element to every map but Stella. I mean, since we can only carry a certain amount of loot, there should be more loot spots. And they shouldn’t be degraded when a special item is necessary to access the area the better loot is in.

  • Spaceport is my favorite map because there’s a lot of loot you just need to know where to look. I think I’ve run 300 raids in a row on spaceport

  • I think the problem is that, with the Expedition requirement of 5 million, it's causing people to hyperfocus on loot maximization. While grinding for the 5 mil I also did not play spaceport for the same reason. That being said I like the spread out areas, but I agree within some of the buildings there should be at least a little more loot.

  • Yeah it's weak on loot

  • The bunkers got good stuff. Last raid I hit one and it had 2 security breach containers

  • I legitimately hate it especially when I'm rolling in areas requiring keys. I don't even bother anymore.

  • Only here for the mushrooms

  • Ware houses should have lots more breathable crates. And shipping containers.

I hate when crates can't breathe.

  • I feel this way, too. But also with blue gate. The map is huge and the whole southern half of the map is nothing. Same with space port. Space port has a ton of buildings that take up a large amount of space with absolutely nothing in them worth searching.

  • Not much good on Cold Snap either, most berries I've gotten out of there is like 12

  • I don't go to spaceport to loot, I go because I like the big tower haha

  • Spaceport is the best for plants though. Tons of mueillen along the trench and under the launch tower. There are tons of apricot, lemon, prickly pear spots too that nobody's picking up. Hell there is a tree with 3 guaranteed mushrooms on it there.

  • Weird, this is my group’s primary looting map. Easy route, always come out full. We usually hit arrival, sometimes the breach room on the first floor of departure, there’s also the towers on the wall, and one of the warehouses has a good breach room. And then those buildings near the wall with the two breach doors. And the tunnel usually has a couple weapon crates.

  • I go to Spaceport to hunt Arc. Nice open space so you can see them from far away.

  • You're definitely not wrong but Spaceport is my favorite Arc hunting map, I love getting on the smaller building by Control Tower blocking the door to the roof and trapping it and the ladder and then killing the bastion that almost always spawns nearby, looting it up and escaping into the hatch nearby.

  • This is the reason I'm never on spaceport. I kept thinking I just don't know where the loot spots are. Then I realized there just aren't any. It's sparse as hell

  • Talking about empty space, I hope they do something with the red lake area. The view from down there is great with the dam in the background.

  • A lot of the spaceport locations are just barren, even some of the red ones.

I also think it would be a really good idea to have a lot more loot just randomly scattered all over the map even outside of the zones in random places, buildings, etc. It should be more likely you will find stuff anywhere than it is, even though it is more likely you will find a high concentration of items in a yellow or red zone.

  • Spaceport and Blue Gate are way too sparse, indeed

Spaceport has so many completely empty warehouses, I have no idea why they haven't stuck more containers in them
And Blue Gate is like a third forest and a third rocky hills with nothing in them

  • the spawn points being almost always 800m away from literally anything? :|

  • You also spawn a mile out and have to walk for 5 mins just to get IN to the map. It's terrible design.

  • We need dynamic loot so badly

  • Spaceport loot routes would be along the west wall & towers w/ Security Breaches and weapon crates until they nuked Security Breach twice

  • It's a good arc killing map with a good security breach loop and interesting mid/long range fights.

The staff room is still GOAT for trinket farm

It's a cool map, just fking massive

  • I always seem to have the best luck on spaceport lol love that map so much, there is a lot of open space but I like it. It forces you to play around it with ziplines or indirect routes underground and I love fighting leapers out in the open with almost nothing to hide behind, it's a thrill 😂

But I recognize that has not much to do with the amount of looting spots 🤷‍♂️ I just haven't felt the same way because I go there for a different experience than the other maps (Dam being the closest to it)

  • My favourite map!

  • I’d argue it’s the same for Blue Gate. Some decent places but if you load in late and don’t want to just push players you are stuck cracking open a few cars and extracting as well

  • This map with some red loot locations around the edges and, hear me out... vehicles! would be awesome.

  • Honestly all the maps kinda feel like they need more looting containers. Half the time a row of lockers loads with none.

  • My favorite thing to use spaceport for is killing a bastion.

  • I think the game would benefit a bit by having a lot more random loot locations, sure keep all the key rooms etc but spreading it out more, unmarked too will keep it a bit more fresh and exiting to come across.

  • West side is good. East side needs a boost

  • Is it weird that I like that it's so obvious that the map is not designed for the game?

In my opinion, maps in this kind of game should be designed as if it was a real place intended for real people to use for its intended purpose. If it's a spaceport, it should be first designed for use as a spaceport. Where would the terminals actually go irl? The rockets?

I think if it feels too much like it was intentionally designed like a video game arena, it would take away a lot of the fun of exploring.

  • Idk I get some crazy loot runs on spaceport

  • Spaceport is ass. It’s so far behind the other maps in quality

  • If you do not have Security Breach, Spaceport is horrible loot per hour. Hoping with the nerf to security breach and wipe, less people spec into it. Midway through first season everyone had Security Breach

  • When my randos ignore my departure/ arrival pings for container storage i know im cooked

  • Go to the outskirts and loot the non highlighted areas. My friend and I do a couple of free load out runs on that at the start of a night to get 3-4 keys and then we go raiding key rooms on other maps. Prior to the blueprint spawn buff, this is also where I found most of my blueprints. The stuff in the south and south east have been the best

  • I was just talking this last night with one of my buddies lol. My least favorite map because of this

Even the doors that require keys, barely have anything valuable in them

  • literally same thought!!

when i went to spaceport the first time, i was like ???

and haven't been there again LOL it's so weird imo and just open space

  • It’s for Arc farming is what I tell myself. It spawns every single type multiple times and in my experience is less contested and smaller than Blue Gate. And the only thing worth looting for here is a Tempy BP or the Vulcano in HB.

  • I’ve found that the bunkers you need to breach around the tower extract point have decent loot at times, occasionally having security lockers as well. Each map kind of specialises in a loot type so I see Spaceport as the crafting resources map. I do tend to find a lot of keys though in the Arrival and Departure buildings which is nice.

  • With the game starting as a large map PvE only game with empty shell buildings that they had to fill after the switch to their current design, you can tell spaceports interior design wasn’t given much love. It’s clear they spent time on only the arrival and departure building and banked on the overall feel of the spaceport with the large launch tower and control tower A6 buildings to make the map.
