Most Mid & Budget TVs Are Still Gimmicky in 2026
In 2026, the Indian TV market continues to be flooded with misleading claims, poor quality panels, and marketing tricks. Many TVs in the mid-range and budget category offer:
- Fake refresh rates (boosted to 120/240Hz with software but only 60Hz native)
- Over-processed and oversaturated colors
- Low contrast with no local dimming
- Glare issues in bright rooms
- Poor viewing angles
Most influencers on YouTube either get free units or borrow TVs from brands. So, they rarely speak negatively about products. If a creator doesn’t clearly call their video a “review,” they are not legally bound to disclose sponsorships and can hide flaws or exaggerate strengths using vague terms like “RealView” or “TrueTest.”
I created this buying guide after personally visiting multiple showrooms and testing TVs independently. No brand controls or sponsors my content. I will update this guide regularly as newer models are released.

- Look for local dimming in LED TVs for proper black levels
- Choose Mini LED over standard LED if OLED is not an option
- OLED is unmatched for watching movies, HDR, or gaming in dim lighting
- Avoid TVs from lesser-known brands unless you're on a strict budget
- Prefer 2024–25 models for software updates and future compatibility

This is not available online and Offline I have seen these two models in Sony and LG which are costing me around 55K Can you please review this and let me know which one is better and worth buying ? Sony Bravia 2 S25M2 LG 55 QNED8B
Will share the link if I find it Would highly appreciate if you could help :)
The LG 55 QNED8B offers more advanced display tech (Quantum Dot + NanoCell), gaming features, and better future readiness, making it the stronger pick overall.
The Sony BRAVIA 2 S25M2 is a solid, more affordable choice with reliable brand quality but with more basic hardware.
Thanks a lot, great help :)
You’re welcome. :)
Got a detailed spreadsheet one can slice dice into?
Why no LG C5 in the list? As far as i know C4 and C3 are discontinued and not available anymore

I bought a ps5 but missed buying oled tv in BBD sale . I'm stuck thinking about monitors /tv/ projector. For ps5 and mainly rpg the projector with large screen will be good but I'm worried about it only being 1080p... 4k projector are in oled range.
Lg qned8x vs sony bravia 3 Im considering lg qned8x because it has 120hz and i own a ps5 does it really make that much of a difference or should i go for sony Bravia 3
How about bravia 5, 7 seems to be too out of budget for me
Bravia 5 is a good choice, great picture quality for the price.
Thanx mate, just wanted to know if this will be future proof and good for long term
Yes, it’s solid and future-proof enough.

View on Toshiba TVs Qled or mini led TVs?
Toshiba’s QLED models offer great colour and value. If you want deeper blacks and better contrast and if you are okay paying more, go for the Mini LED version.
