I have preordered Kobra X, and I have Kobra 3 Max slinger already, with mod that puts TPU filament on top of the printer. It is obvious that placing filaments on top is making the printer top heavy, which exacerbate vibrations due to slinging, which in return affects TPU print quality.
Should I consider modding Kobra X before I even got it?

Did you register for the preorder coupon? 😂
Yes, to be honest, with that price you cannot go wrong...
All of my Kobras have ACEs on top with 4 rolls and print at high speed. I don't think there will be any issues at all, especially considering the more rigid framing.
I am talking specifically about TPU, which swings crazy anyway, but somehow, by some magic, prints come out OK. Meaning, TPU is not really fixed to frame, so printer vibration, even with rigid frame, will affect the quality...
I'm also printing shoes and zero infill ducks, they come out fine. Better than the S1 since the Kobra 3 doesn't keep heat enclosed, enclosed TPU printing can liquify the filament and cause clogs.
This is from Kobra 3 Max, Flip-flop was printed laying on bed, slipper was printed at some 45 degrees angle. I printed at I think 120 speed and max acceleration, just to see what TPU prints looks like on it. That slipper tip was swinging widely due to acceleration. It came out actually fine, no idea how, by logic it should be much worse.

I'm printing TPU flexi toys, they look great and none of the links stick together
That is really nice, what speed and acceleration gave you this quality?

Standard settings and standard speed. This was printed on the Kobra 3 also. I've printed TPU on both the Kobra 3 and the S1. The S1 prints it better but you need to leave the door open or leave the top off but even with the top off the S1 does string a bit due to heat build-up in the chamber
Wow, that is another level! I guess you laid the shoe on platform, I was too lazy to change orientation so i let it print at 45 degrees angle. That is a big plus for Kobra 3 Max, you can comfortably fit shoes on the bed.
Do you mind sharing your print settings?
EDIT: I just realized you said standard settings, so never mind that heh.

Also fits very nice
Just make sure to use Anycubic TPU settings and it will set it all up for you very well. I also draw my own supports, so angle it up to almost 45 degrees starting from the toe and it'll print with minimal supports
Beautiful!
What material are you using?
Anycubic TPU
I will have to try it, I used TPU that was sitting for a couple of years, had idea to make TPU wallets heh, but got sidetracked....
I am mind blown with the quality you got, i was watching that TPU swing like crazy, order of inches, perhaps new materials are bit better.
Thank you for your posts, it really opened my eyes!

This is the best orientation and supports setup. Use custom supports and make sure to change supports to Manual Organic Tree
This is actually the original Kobra 3. Not even the v2. One sec, I'll load up my settings
The frame of the Kobra X is sturdy. They have been live streaming printing on the Kobra X for several days...it looks extremely well designed. Not visible shaking at all
How tall is the Kobra X going to be, with the spools on top? They don't seem to mention this anywhere, just the basic unit size.
