It's a very bittersweet thing to find out about the anime. But, that's such a sweet, wholesome gesture. I'll keep her memory in mind whenever I see that cute little goblin.
Still haven't watched Umaru chan but wherever I saw a clip of it, it always made me smile. Love that cute chibi version of her. I'll definitely watch it one day.
Nothing is created out of thin air. Main characters in fiction (especially dynamic ones) are almost always shaped, to some extent, by the author’s own experiences.
And yes, I still and will remember the characters. Thank you for all the laughs and joy in those days.
Man... it hits different now. Rest it peace. It could have been almost therapeutic to draw the manga, reconnecting with her through his work and his memories, but terribly painful too.
Damn, that's... Huh, that's pretty sad. But at the very least this is a good way to immortalize his sister for everyone who watches anime.
She might've been annoying but it's clear in the anime that he loves his sister, and what kind of big brother would not care for his own sister?
Now that this has been revealed, his sister will always be associated with Umaru, the energetic, annoying but loving sister of the author, probably the sister will be Umaru in the eyes of us now and that's a great way to show his love and care for her.
What better achievement for a big brother than to be able to immortalize his sister in the hearts and minds of thousands and allow her to continue to live on, despite having passed away. It probably won't bring her back, but at least she will be remembered, and that's the greatest and purest show of brotherly love that I can think of that he can do for his sister, and when he reunites with her in the afterlife, she will definitely welcome him with open arms and the same cheeky attitude of Umaru-chan
My thoughts and prayers for Sankakuhead and my respect for him as well, may you're work be famous and your sister well known, and that you will be able to meet her happily in the afterlife
No, from the story he says only Umaru was based on his sister. It means the other characters might have some references or entirely fictional. Without those exaggerations it wouldn't be entertaining enough for people.
TBF, Umaru is such an accurate depiction of a little sister. Hella annoying but they are family so you gotta look after them. They are, on very rare occasions, endearing.

Morning and it's sadness again
I thought this day could be happy

Damm, now I feel bad for talk shit about Umaru-can
I guess that is why Umaru is able to trigger this 'oh my god this brat is very similar to how my sister would act. I hate it'
She is based on a real sister as well.
There was a good year where this show was very popular with hello kitty/Kuromi girls. I sold so many orange capes that year.
If you have siblings its not rare to feel annoyed by the way she acts. Personally I liked how relatable they were.
Same... still dont like the show as I didnt find it funny or entertaining, but i feel bad for the mangaka losing his sister like that

Yea we do not condone people brigading other subs dawg.
How do I unlearn something?
+1, I need someone's wisdom for this
At least compare to To Love Ru's case, this one is bittersweet
And now I'm asking myself if I want to unlearn two things today.
What is the To Love Ru case?
To make it short, one of the main heroine is based on the author's wife
Said wife then cheated on him, and hold their daughter hostage in exchange for cash

What do all the siscon characters mean then.
The author's fetish. Not surprising considering how degenerate japanese people are, so many 18+ tv programs and shit
Damn... and here i am disliking Umaru-chan because she annoys the shit out of her big bro and make people think bad of him
I'm sorry little one
Okay this memes makes it seem like being like Umara was what killed her.
Well, realistically, if you chugged cola and inhaled snacks like she does irl it probably would.
Damn bro it's 6 mornin and I'm just sad again. But after seeing this I really feel bad for her

It'll rain today 😢
Such a touching tribute to his sister. Umaru-chan’s story now carries a deeper meaning

If I had a nickel, the other nickel would be from Grave of The Fireflies.
My Condolences to the author may his Sister forever lived through Umaru Chan
D,:
😢 R.I.P
I only watched the first season and I really like it. I really like the dynamics of the siblings + of their friends.
Dam that’s sad as hell hope she’s in heaven.
I can still hear the opening

.........DAMN...............I never expected something like this..............
Bro..
Oh shit... My condolences!
Dang.
😱
BlazaPlayz!
Wait does this mean, is the rest of the story true? He is fucking his sister's friend?
No, from the story he says only Umaru was based on his sister. It means the other characters might have some references or entirely fictional. Without those exaggerations it wouldn't be entertaining enough for people.
He gets together with the friend in the manga?
I have the same question.
Could he not have portrayed his sister in a better light then?

damn fuck his dead sister for being that way ig
What am I suppose to do with that knowledge?
Nothing really
