My dog is now mostly deaf. She can still hear a couple of loud, sharp sounds but that's it. She'll get a bit jumpy but is mostly okay if she sees it's someone she knows. Other than that, she's fine and learning new signs to know when it's time to come in, stop barking, etc.

Do deaf dogs feel anxiety from the lost sense? Doesn't it just seem totally normal to them?
I had a deaf cat. Other cats does the same but gentle boops and just walking off. The deaf cat would follow. Food. Birds. I’m home etc etc
