I dont think theyd have a lot to worry about, no breakthroughs have been made in this case by us lol. It's a possibility, but I think it's a higher possibility that this person is in prison for another crime (if they killed Andrew, they likely have committed other crimes).

Yes, I have thought of that. But what can we do? since we dont know who it is, we can do nothing about it. But it isnt me, I swear. I am just a woman in NYC who is very interested in this case for years.

In both cases, it’s a possibility but also if they’re a suspect, they’re probably being monitored so wouldn’t want to raise suspicions of the police monitoring them by reading up on the claims they’ve been suspected of and leaving a digital trail

It's not impossible, but then again he also could be dead by now, perhaps he passed away 2-3 years after Andrew vanished , or maybe he is in jail, anything is possible.

I seriously believe the culprit, if there is one (or more) is dead is the most likely explanation.

If a person were responsible for Andrew's death, then I find it less likely that this culprit has managed to reveal not one single clue to anyone in 18 years, than that this culprit is dead.

Possible? Of course. I just think it's the less likely possibility.

Could the culprit be sending messages about the culprit being part of the forum?

Culprit could be dead, like the perpertrators in the Alice Gross and Leah Croucher cases... is there a list of paedophiles who killed them selves in 2007 or 2008.

The most likely culprit is Andrew himself. If he is somehow still alive, he could be keeping tabs.

100% the culprit is active on this sub, and trying to gatekeep discussion.

I believe the culprit is alive and well, is close to the family and often checks this sub.

It’s certainly possible although a dark thought, personally I suspect whoever was responsible has problably been caught with another crime, where they have some chance of getting out before natural death. Otherwise they would offer up the information to get some sort of perk in prison. Generally criminals reoffend, and get emboldened by getting away with success. After almost 20 years they would have been caught for something. I have a friend who’s involved jn police work and he says they can’t help but reoffend. It’s part,of their nature.

Why do I feel like the culprit would post this? 

To add to the question is the perp here (if there is one), the answer is likely to be yes. 

They enjoy this sort of thing. They're control freaks from abusive childhoods. The parents of victims are punished for the crimes of the perps parents and withholding the truth is very much the norm. 

I don't think the kind of person the culprit would have to have been is someone who thinks normally & rationally. Murderers/CS Abusers spend their existence between daydreaming about the sick crimes theyd like to commit or reliving the sick crimes they already have commited. If they were capable of remorse or panic then they would have more willpower. Murder to a serial killer is like heroin to a smack addict & I imagine it's the same for CSA with the crimes they commit too.
