Drozd replied to someone asking if he was done with the band and said, "They’re done with me — but we’re not talking about it. So yes, I’m moving on." Then he deleted the whole thing and later joked about making a "Boomer mistake" by posting it.
Wild that after 30+ years it ends with a cryptic social media reply and not some official statement. AJ Slaughter's been playing all the 2025 dates, so I guess the writing was on the wall, but still... end of an era.

Not every band needs a 50 year run and even surviving as a famous heroine addict for as long as he did is beating the odds. Steven was part of some great records and even better live shows.
They’ve made some great music but Wayne seems like a creepy weirdo.

I know Reddit people like to shit on Wayne, but from what I heard, Steven apparently relapsed hard on drugs and alcohol. Wayne said he was so high/drunk on some shows that he couldn't play, and he was actually afraid Steven might die. I'm a Drozd fan, but I would have fired him too.
When I was teenager (90’s) I used to sneak into shows either cause I had no money or was underage. Went to a Flaming Lips show at a small club to figure a way in. Ran into Steven outside. Noticed he had a stamp on his hand. Asked him to lick it and press it on my hand. He did and it worked! I walked right in after him.
Say what you will. But I saw these guys play live last year and it was one of the coolest shows I have ever seen.
