We have a whole host of new announcements coming to you hot off the presses from CES 2026!! All the nitty gritty details are in the blog post but for a quick summary for you all...
We've got some updates to our Aurora and Area-51 Laptops including:
- New Intel® Core™ Ultra 200HX processors in the 18 & 16 Area-51 and 16X Aurora Laptops
- New Anti-Glare OLED panels on our 16 Area-51 and 16X Aurora laptops
As well, the AMD version of the Alienware Area-51 Desktop will soon feature the new AMD Ryzen™ 7 9850X3D processor
And last up we have a little tease into some of the future roadmap for Alienware by giving you a new Ultra-Slim and Entry-Level laptops!
We want Ryzen 3D chips on the laptops as well, please. Intel’s core ultra on the laptops are decent but there is no match for the AMD 3D chips. Please add those.
Wow, that's really nice, finally OLED for laptops! Plus, the screen specs are insane. But unfortunately, with the price of RAM in 2026, it's going to be extremely expensive :'(
I was hoping for a new keyboard mouse and headset in colors matching the area 51 laptops
Ooooh a new mouse in the color of the Area-51 laptops would be sweeeet
Wait no new desktop monitors?
That’s what I was hoping for too
Definitely interested in picking up one of those new thin models to use as an everyday machine/travel laptop so I don't need to carry the A51 laptop around.
This all sounds awesome. I'm excited to see how these OLED screens look on the new laptops.
Hmm.. I still don't feel like the new lineup matches the "cool factor" of my X16 R2. Maybe I'll just need to wait for some more images and video of the ultra slim machine to see if I'll be interested in upgrading.
Man I was about to say the same thing. Am still rocking my Alienware x15 and was about to get the x16 R2. If they can get us something close to x16 with the tron lighting design am sold.
Plus, remains to be seen if the RAM in those ultra slim remain upgradeable as the latest iterations or reverts back to non SO-DIM motherboards...
I’m not sure what’s new about Core Ultra 200HX CPUs, considering that’s what they ship with now. Maybe new SKUs with a slight spec bump?
Intel hasn't even announced intentions to do a Core Ultra 200HX refresh. They might just be adding the 285HX as an ultimate high-end option I'd guess.
I’d bet ArrowLake Refresh SKUs then. TBD what that actually means though.
Since OLED is only for the 16 inch laptops can we send back last generation laptops with 16 inch size screen to replace them with OLED. They can name their price.
Your question is mine. I have an alienware 16 from last year, we were waiting for an oled version, and aluenware came with the oled model and a new processor? I we send our machines how much will be for this one?
No mini LED in the Area 51 18’ 😭
Yeah super disappointed about that. Definitely would have picked one up if they got a better screen. I guess I'll keep the Scar 18.
i do hope we can have the cherry mx switches in the ultra slim options
Oh the ultra slim 16 is back, the X16 was dearly missed in it’s absence
~~
I still can’t afford it lol~~Alienware UFO !

Looking good for 2026!
They downgraded the Alienware 18 Area 51 from 5Gbe to 2.5 Gbe. Thank goodness I bought the current model especially since I run a 10 Gbe home network. It takes forever to transfer several terabytes of data over 1 or even 2.5 Gbe.
Srsly now they bring OLED Panel! Man i got a area 51 last year and suffering with that display :(
I wonder if we can swap the panels on the 18 inch
no improvements or new additions to peripherals? icl I'm a bit disappointed 😞
I feel like “pricing provided at a later date” is gonna become super common across the industry
No OLED for area 51 18" , they doing it on purpose

the refresh of the area-51 will have oled as an oprion. But I am quite sure I would pick the IPS panel again since I work as a teacher and use my laptop to photo and documents editing. So burnin had been a real pain with the OLED. And with soutch a expensive laptop, I will keep it for 7-10 years.. The OLED panel would die before that...
I wanna buy the Alienware 16 oled Area 51 model hope you can get it with a 5090
Just a warning. The oled on laptops is a scam in disguise. possible burn-in
*guaranteed burn-in
all oled panels burn in. that is in their planned obsolescence nature. all oleds tested by rtings in the longterm test burned in for example.
you aren't rolling a dice on the same oled monitor and one burns in and the other doesn't.
ALL burn-in.
that is important to remember, when you got the industry lying constantly to customers. for example:
"qd-oled is way more resistant to burn-in than earlier technologies, so don't worry customer". reality: qd-oled burns in the same as other oled versions of course.
so that you can make a proper buying decision.
And the crowd went mild......
Basicly the Same laptop only with a shorter lifespan with the oled. Imo oled on laptops is a scam in disguise. I use my pc for 8-18hrs a day on average. It could be gaming with a gui in one spot on the screen all day or me browsing the net or doing something else while listening to music/audiobook with my pc playing them. I have already experienced burnin on a LG 45 and 2x Alienware 34” OLED’s. JJ at Asus was on a livestream showing off their new OLED’s and talking to their viewers. I asked him about the new 39” Ultrawide OLED. Told him what display I’m on now”Rog Swift PG35VQ”, what happened to the past 3x OLED’s I was on and how many hrs a day I used them and what I was/am doing. He responded with I would have to limit myself to 4hrs a day on the new 39” OLED if I want it to last and make it past warranty, a better option is IPS.
Nice to hear about the new thin line. Will be nice to see some competition for Razer and Asus in this space. Hopefully they are able to offer at least the I/O that Razer does or actually beat it. That is the one space where Razers offerings win out even with Asus finally getting a full size SD card the Razer has 5 USB ports (3A and 2C).
When you are trying to get things done on the go you need a lot of ports and not a lot of dongles/hubs.
Did they mention computers and chips are going back to covid level scarcity due to ai demand? We were told by our Dell rep to hurry and buy what we need before it’s all gone and we’re back to waiting 6+ months for a computer.
Im curious. Yesterday I was in micro city debating between 2 laptops. The alienware 18 5090 or the Lenovo Legion Pro i7 with 5090. Similar specs all the way but lenovo had more powerful wattage on the charger. The staff told me alienware have cheap materials, fans loud, overheating. How much is true. Still debating both are both 3000-3100.
So far from the truth. You probably got Lenovo fanboys helping you.
I think I need to stop listening to rumours especially moore’s law is dead. Because we don’t have any Nvidia APU ARM in any laptops !
They make good hardware but bad support / customer service is going to be their downfall.
They don't. China does
