There was some thread elsewhere on Reddit where they called a contractor on a quote for a bathroom or half bathroom. They wanted a lot of money too. Guess what the OP’s budget was: $500. 🤯
I used to have an above the counter sink, then had the undermount type and it’s so much easier to keep clean, when you use the sink it’s easy to “squeegee” the water. It’s one flat surface. The sink itself is 1/4 of the price of the above the counter type here
Now I am moving and the bathroom is super narrow, so the counter is too narrow for an undermount sink, so I had no better option and had to install above counter again. In the op’s case they could easily put a regular sink
I can understand why people do when the “before” photos are aesthetically unappealing, like in this post. People are more likely to interact when things look nice.
Yeah, to each their own, for sure. I find collages as the first pic are visually distracting, but I would also do one “after” pic as the cover, and then many “before” pics, and then more “after” pics.
I used to be a housekeeper and loathe these kinds of sinks, only thing worse is the bowl shaped ones. People splash soapy dirty water all over the counter and then it gets in the impossibly small Crack between the bottom of the sink and the counter and you can never really reach it well enough. Its like a pinched area to try and shove your fingers to wipe dry. I mean you can maybe get to it with a toothpick but that's so unnecessary and inconvenient when the alternative is just to wipe the sink and counter on literally every other kind of sink. It's so annoying and one of the many musty choices people seem to commonly make. See also, stainless steel fingerprint covered surfaces and those wide flat baseboards that make an amazing place to store dust and hair.
27k for that?
27k for the Home Depot special... 🤣
Hilarious but we don’t have home depot in Australia.
Don’t you see?? They weren’t happy with the tan and white tiled bathroom because they wanted a different tan and white tiled bathroom, lol.
The before was pink
I’ll never be able to afford a renovation lol 😂

Same thing I am thinking. Not worth it. Maybe 10k. Maybe.
Above counter sinks are dumb.
You can’t even get a proper steam shower.
Not enough shelf space for shampoo/conditioner.
I love that bathtub.
Fancy seeing you here!
lol hi! 🙋🏻♂️
Why are above counter sinks dumb? I'm curious about your opinion bc that's usually what I see in bathrooms.

Obnoxious to clean
They did this properly, though. They said after and before. This is fine.
It just never makes sense to put it in that order.

I would do 1 after pic. That is big enough to include everything. Then do the before pix and then after pix. Or I’d make the first one a collage 🤷🏼♀️

No one clicks on ugly posts.
The vertical tub is/was a bold choice
The large tiles on the walls is giving fitness center showers.
The sink is going to be a PITA to clean.
Why is the sink a PITA to clean?

Ooooh. Makes sense.
They were probably thinking of what is like to clean the shower.
That tracks
No hose in the shower?
