Why didn't Adam the Woo get tired of Disney World? After you've been on each ride and been to each show 10 times within a few weeks, hasn't everything been excessively normalized? Didn't the Haunted Mansion script lose its charm once he had it unconsciously memorized? Don't the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Center lose their magic when you know your away around so well that you've unconsciously memorized the locations of not only the attractions but also the shops, places to eat, drinking fountains, bathrooms, benches, trees, and rocks?
Arrested development
Ad revenue.
He liked the nostalgia which was a drug for him.
I live in Colorado, I go once a year to Disneyland for my birthday, I’m 37. I’ve done everything there, over and over and over again. It’s the experience of being there. It’s walking through the gates, forgetting everything on the outside of them no longer matters. You just forget about reality for a little bit. Walking down Main Street, seeing the castle, smelling the scents, hearing the band, seeing one of your favorite childhood characters life size, riding your favorite rides. Shit I’d love to tell you it costs wayyyyy to fucking much and it does, but something about that shit, I can’t wait to go back each year.
Would you still have that experience if you went 3 or 4 or more times a week for months?
No. It changes then.
Not not at all, once a year or so is something to look forward to, once or twice a month would probably be too much and get old pretty quick.
We go twice a month and it literally never gets old. It changes, it becomes a date night and ride 1 ride kinda thing. Taking it slow and enjoying the environment
are you DL or WDW? Cuz if it’s WDW I get that. Every night to Epcot is fun and different.
I was an annual pass holder for DW back in 2019. Live 6 hrs away and we would go at least once a month. At the end of the year we didn't renew our annual pass because it got old . Also they went up on prices and the pandemic hit. Even after pandemic wasn't interested in going. So no way I could go a much as Adam went. Definitely would have gotten old real quick.
Yeah but Adam went all the time. Like it was a job. I bet the cast members are happy to never have to see him again.
Same!
I do believe Adam may have had a touch of the 'tism, and people like that tend to find comfort in repeating the things they love and where they feel safe and comfy. Now granted I haven't seen his videos towards the end where people are saying he was bored of it and just doing it for views, that could also be true. But he had to type of personality that I could see repeating things for comfort. I knew a kid with autism and he watched the same half of the same movie every day, for years and years....just the first half, never the 2nd half.
He did this on full WooPeat as an escape from the real world. This was his bubble and the only way he could be comfortable was in a world of fantasy and make believe.
Easy content
I think so--it occurred to me after looking at Celebration on Google maps and locating his haunts that he didn't venture that far from home much of the time. He even went to Epcot instead of MK because it was closer! He also loved Hollywood Studios and that is next to Epcot, while Animal Kingdom was harder to get to, relatively speaking. Then you have the abandoned resort across from Celebration, the 7/11, 192 and all the places the electric cart could get to like Fun Spot or whatever it's called. It paints a picture.
I think ad revenue and easy content kept him coming back so much. I think he also liked being even more of a celebrity while he was in there. It’s an easy place to bring women or meet friends. He also loves junk food and Star Wars/Disney.
Why did he like Disney and Disneyland so much in the first place? Escapism, arrested development, maybe he just loves Disney and rides. Probably a complicated answer.
I would have at least mixed it up between the other parks but he was always mk or epcot.
Tbh he never produced any good disney content. He didnt review foods or festivals or new rides. Not a single good tip or trick for viewers that were visiting. It was all look at me and where I’m at.
Perusing gift shops and buying pins and magnets.
HECK IT!
There is, at least IMO, nothing wrong with being a local and visiting the parks regularly, as long as it's balanced with other things. The "balanced with other things" part is the part a lot of vloggers ignore. For health reasons alone you shouldn't be eating that food regularly, and for financial reasons, even with an annual pass, nine times out of ten they end up buying merch or food when they visit. I would love to see some of the Disney vloggers show things in actual Orlando and act like they care a smidge about the city they live in beyond the bubble. But it's a vicious cycle because I know sometimes those "out of the bubble" videos just don't get the views.
We live near Mall of America and go there like once a year--and it's free to get in.
I think by the end it was pretty clear that he was tired of WDW, and it’s part of the reason that he was changing his content.
Don’t get me wrong, I think part of him always loved WDW (nostalgia), but the day in day out Woopeats were getting boring even for him.
Frankly, I don’t think there is a piece of text or an image in any of the WDW parks that ATW didn’t read aloud or expound upon in one of his videos. He was running out of stuff to film there.
I find all of these AI images of ATW in a Disney-fied Heaven pretty hilarious, because deep down inside the guy probably despised going to the place by the end of it!🤣
Edit: He ended up being a slave to the algorithm and his Disney fans, who demanded more of the same. When ATW tried travel vlogs, his viewer #s dropped, so he went back to the parks to boost them up - I think he was miserable at WDW by the end of it!
Just feels like a weird unfulfilling life.
Feel free to add “to me” at the end of that…
That is assumed and redundant. Thanks for playing
One day you guys are going to finally figure out why a grown single man spends all of his time around children.
Oh shit.
Yea he doesnt hang around kids. You can tell he is awkward around them. Now grown kids thats a different story
Some things are just in front of your eyes and people are just blind🤷🏻♂️
I unsubscribed from his channel when I saw his first interaction with Giggles and how she spoke in a little girl's voice and also dressed like one! That shocked me to the core, and I was done with him.
I don't buy that. Checking out the MILFs, sure, but there's no indication he was into kids.
The term is Disney adults. People who are obsessed with anything Disney related. I didn't watch any of his Disney content because it's not something I'm interested in.
Unfortunately I know quite a few of them
Close to home. Easy content. Lots of food.
Good spot to pick up girls , him and that Justin dude would go on grad night
I can't see that working that well, but I'm lousy at the pickup game. Disney is mostly families arguing about money and kids screaming. It all seems hot and stressful, tbh.
The vibes.
I moved right next to Disney I lived closer than Adam in 2013 and it was great until Covid then it lost its charm I moved to Texas
Simple. The cash.
I think Adam legit loved Disney, it's the Trackers to me who stumbled into being Disney vloggers and now just do it because it's how they make a living.
Exactly, and use their children to cash in.
Can I just say how creepy I find those people? I'm sure they're very nice...
I could visit the parks as much as he did. Doing the same few rides repeatedly would be ok for awhile, but I would have to change it up.
I can't even visit the same ski area more than a couple of times.
When I was growing up we had annual passes to this local park called Silver Springs. We went there pretty often, in and out as we pleased. Saw the animal shows, boat rides, etc so many times. It didn't get old because it was a fun thing you did near where you lived.
I think Disney passholders are like that; they just like being there, nothing necessarily gets "old". And Disney parks are way better than Silver Springs ever was.
Probably, but it was easy content.
Because he wasn't that deep.
Disney adults are extremely weird.
Alot are neurodivergent. (Autism/ADHD.)
If Netflix can do the 💩 PooP cruise they can do Disney adults
I mention this before in this sub but I was on TikTok a couple months back because I was researching going to Disney since I have not been since a child and I am 36 now and a video popped up asking the question "why do Disney adults seem to be so happy to go there so often and why do they seem like the happiest people once they get there?" A Disney adult stitched the video and said something along the lines that "Disney is the only place they feel like they can truly be themselves and they feel safe." I agree with the person who responded to you yes a lot of them are neurodivergent and a lot of them are gay and I am guessing they can truly be themselves, especially the flamboyant ones. It is really a fascinating topic. If I was still in college I would totally do my thesis on how Disney, neurodivergent, and people who are gay tie in together.
I lived in SoCal for many years. The gay (guy)-to-Disney Adult pipeline is a very real thing.
Yes. Pipeline was the word I was looking for. When they pop up on my TikTok FYP it is always interesting. I have so many questions.
It was his safe space. Easy to get to. Easy to film. People love watching Disney related content. Unhealthy, but yummy foods.
He did. He would go, do 2 things, and leave. He used to have fun at Disney. Disney was work at the end of
Why does one like sports all their lives when its the same thing? Why do we like certain foods our whole lives even though they taste the same? It's just stuff we all personally enjoy no matter how many times we do it. It's what makes things subjective
Trauma
It’s nostalgia. Just because one individual doesn’t have sentimental feelings around a particular place or thing doesn’t mean it’s “not normal” for another individual to have those feelings. I’m an AP, live close-by and would go to the parks everyday if I had time to do so. There’s nothing unseemly about adults enjoying theme parks. They are for the young, indeed, but also for the young at heart. If you yourself are not going to Disney parks, you should have zero worries about who is there. If you do go regularly, you will see that there are individuals of every age there and that shouldn’t bother you either. Personally, there are a number of entertainment events I don’t care about - college football game, renaissance fairs, NASCAR, Halloween Horror Nights, tennis matches, chili/barbque cook-offs, rodeos, church services, motor cross, outdoor music festivals…but if you’re tits deep into any of that shit - I could not care less. Good on ya, bruh, go have fun.
Lazy and easy content.
I live about 40 minutes away and we go almost every weekend. I take my kids because the annual pass payment per month is less expensive than almost any other one time outing we do. We have fun, we get outside, and get exercise. I would go even if it was just me. I would prefer to walk the parks for a few hours than go to the gym or on a hike. Even better if I did it for work and got to meet up with fellow content creators and brain storm.
Is this a parody thread because I need to know before I get started.
There’s usually new rides, shows, food, entertainment etc
I wrote this when he was alive, so it isn't something new.
I think it is highly possible that Adam was autistic.
Autistics' like repetition, repeating favourite words and catch phrases and like routine, where possible. Plus they have the same favourite and 'safe' foods that they will eat everyday.
p0ppppppppp Pop
I’m 43 years old and will never tire of Disney. 😅
