If I asked you to make a list of all the YouTubers in the Wooniverse who have been compelled to post a video, monetized or not, about the loss of their YouTube “hero,” would it be easier to list those in the Wooniverse who haven’t?
@ MattsRadShow is a channel that had a tiny following years ago. It originated here in Minnesota and did some of the kinds of videos David did 10 years ago. Matt benefitted from a collab or two with David. Eventually Matt pivoted and turned his channel fully into “classic car alert” videos. He has grown his channel over the years and is still doing a regular diet of classic car vids, exclusively, and has more than 71K subs. If he still lives in Minnesota, as it appears, he must travel and/or stockpile vids. We don’t have classic car shows here in the midwest for about 7 months of the year.
Matt hasn’t done a David tribute video, but that’s not surprising. Matt wasn’t a recurring character in the Wooniverse. His time in the circle of goodness was short, and seemed to end years ago.
But I have to wonder who the most obvious YouTubers are in David’s circle that have yet to make the mandatory, “I don’t even know how to begin” video response to David’s death. Some of you would know better than I. I don’t know half the channels of half the characters who had recurring or bit parts in David’s world.
I was listening to a video on the @ DrewintheMoment channel minutes ago. I had to stop. I don’t know much about Drew, but I know he was some sort of friend who was with David at the end. Drew starts telling stories about David in a video Drew never thought he would have to make… a tough one to get through. “I don’t even know how to do it.”
As he talks about David, in less than three minutes he claims that David was the same person on and off camera.
I hope Drew never finds out about Sophie. She will shatter the illusion.
TL:DR Who from the Wooniverse hasn’t made the mandatory video in memory of David?
Where is Nerd Locations?! Adam brought him on his Canada trip and slowly vanished him.
great question.
It’s the woo universe of YouTube vloggers they were more or less his coworkers I bet there be about 20 vloggers at his memorial and just as many besties 👩🏻👩🦰👩🦳🧔♀️👧
Could start a theme park vlogger dead pool.
Matt did a post on his channel, no video. Basically “we did some videos years ago, I moved, my channel changed, he was a nice guy, RIP.”
Cool.
I'm not going to say what is or isn't appropriate, but it seems like every channel is compelled to do a video. Maybe they're all heartfelt and altruistic, but it's hard not to be skeptical.
It seems like people are pushing for anyone and everyone that knew him to make a video.
I honestly dont get why thats appropriate. If someone knew him I think a heartfelt post is enough.
I dont think Ordinary Adventures has done a video and they shouldn't feel like they have to.
Jackie Super Enthused put out a normal video with just a brief mention at the beginning, no mention in the video title, I respect that
Jilted lover...
Agreed. Jackie seems to be the only one who hasn’t tried to capitalize on any of it. Btw, they never dated. She had a boyfriend the entire time. Not saying David wasn’t interested, but for those saying she’s not exploiting his death because she’s a scorned lover is silly.
well said
I checked to see if View from the Cheap Seats posted anything and they didn’t. I can’t really remember if they were friends or not (maybe not since they both have real jobs).
thanks for the info.
Dylan from Theme Park Obsession?
He made quite a few videos with Adam but none in the last few years.
He is probably too scared since he sided with BLAB when they all fell out and the backlash they faced
Did the guy who played Biff in BTTF make a video yet?
not sure, but i know he posted something about David... i think an Instagram post or something like that.
If he has a funeral they will all show up with DJI Osmo Pocket 3 cameras and hold them up simultaneously
