Idk, I know a few people who tell their friends to kill themselves as a joke. I don’t know why they think it’s funny, but they’re all in on it and it’s just words. The only difference here is that everyone knows this person is a despicable maggot-infested hash brown who flunked out of kindergarten at the age of 32
Idk that that would hold up in court. If i actively stalk someone and tell them to off themselves its not really a joke is it?
Maybe its not a law where yall are but like im pretty sure in school they taught us that if we say that we can get fined and if the kid does kill themself then we can face 20 years in prison for murder.
Maybe someone more familiar with american and European law can chime in
I mean stalking is just the intent to find pray. So dude would fall under the grounds of stalking the internet in the attempt to find a victim to tell to kill themself.
Tw: transphobia, suicide, suicide "jokes"
I explained the reasons of suicide rates of trans people being so high to a guy online today and he literally told me he's glad he's arguing with me then because he hopes that the argument will make me suicidal and I'll kill myself and rid the Earth of my presence... He then continued to thank me for the information because he'll now redouble his efforts in making lives of trans people miserable so they'll be more likely to kill themselves so there'll be less and less trans people... It was on Facebook so I reported his comments as against the law but so far I didn't get any further info on the case.
I'm sorry I dumped it all on you, it's been rotting in my brain the entire day and I have no one else to tell... Once I started writing the comment I couldn't stop.
I’m sorry you had to encounter such a villainous, lowlife, air-poisoning, barely sentient, clearly-bribed-the-ref-to-win-the-sperm-race, waste of carbon, probably eats babies, disgusting pile of filth that has a vendetta against everything good in this world, that somehow got it’s slimy tendrils on a keyboard
Tw: self-harm urge mentioned, no self-harm actually done
Your comment made me laugh for the first time since reading what he wrote, and I want you to know that. You actually helped me cope with this in a pretty healthy way (ironic, but it's up against an urge to SH I felt after reading what he wrote, so I'd say it's pretty healthy in comparison). Thank you, from the bottom of my heart ❤️
Oh trust me, I tried. I did it in the past with people as vile as him. It's his spare account, I tried to look for clues in the limited content he had available but it's very low quality and I couldn't even get the city name he rode his bike through. Searching with his profile pic didn't help either :/
Wow, what a normal reaction to someone just... existing. Definitely super normal and fulfilled and not at all unhinged or completely detached from humanity.
yknow i've heard this rhetoric about people wishing that id kill myself since i was 14, so obviously im somewhat used to it
but every once and a while i snap out of it and realize how fucking horrific the concept is of saying that to someone, online or otherwise. it really truly is evil, and i'll never begin to understand how a few people feel okay doing that, let alone how it's become as massive of a trend as it is.
i'm obviously going to continue living, out of spite, and because of that fact that i'm the happiest i've ever been thanks to my transition, but the idea there's people out there who want me dead simply because i exist haunts me every time i have a second to think about it
Apparently, it's actually a misinterpretation of statistics: it actually comes from a survey, where it was the amount of trans people who claimed to have attempted suicide at some point in their lives.
As other people said, the 41% of people who have attempted to kill themselves, but of that, there have been studies done to show that a lot of it is due to harassment and bullying, and that trans people with support have a much much lower rate.
the thing I hate most about that garbage they spout is that it isn't even close to being accurate. A little over a year ago, I decided to research the percentage thing, and guess what I found? That specific number came from a poll for lgbt+ college students, and it was the percentage who had sui ideation more than once in their entire lives.
“Oh boy, I love it when minorities kill themselves after I bully the shit out of them”
What an insolent wretch
Honestly like wtf did my gender have to do with you being out of touch about why someone might need to use DoorDash
Why isnt this seen as a crime? Like i thought telling ppl to kill themselves directly or indirectly was illegal

Yes, but this person isn’t stalking anyone, they’re just announcing to the world that they’re a horrid monstrosity with no regard for human life
I mean stalking is just the intent to find pray. So dude would fall under the grounds of stalking the internet in the attempt to find a victim to tell to kill themself.
True
Right!?

(I am so sorry that happened to you.)

Human beings are extremely good at dehumanising other human beings, as a result of labeling them as The Other.
We all do it, I suspect, although to very different degrees
u literally have king in ur username 😭
What does "41%" mean?
41% of transgender people kill themselves
Apparently, it's actually a misinterpretation of statistics: it actually comes from a survey, where it was the amount of trans people who claimed to have attempted suicide at some point in their lives.
Ahhhhh
Not even attempted, considered attempting.
*attempt to kill themselves
It includes cases where they fail
And the number goes down dramatically when they have a supportive environment
As other people said, the 41% of people who have attempted to kill themselves, but of that, there have been studies done to show that a lot of it is due to harassment and bullying, and that trans people with support have a much much lower rate.
