I'm a trans man and I'd post this out of support 🤷‍♂️

    parent root

I'm a cis man and I'm on to it.

If anything it'll be a good way to weed out the shit from my acquaintances.

    parent
    471 points Lonely-Inspector-548

Plot twist she’s just trans and embracing her identity

    parent root
    418 points LaMystika

I’m fully convinced now that the reason why so many cis people think “cis” is a slur is because that’s how they view the word “trans”, or permutations thereof

    parent root
    214 points Spirited-Emotion3119

Entirely; it's also why I double down when someone complains about it being a slur by referring to their whinging as a 'cissy fit'

...that and it's fun to rile up conservative snowflakes with triple entendre homophones.

As someone who struggled a lot with my gender identity, yes. I hated being called a woman or girl growing up because it always felt like it was forced onto me due to my genitals (which is kinda was) and mixed with a hefty dose of internalized misogyny I was a cringy NLOG.

It wasn't until Iearned more about feminism and queer people that I realized I am not defined by my genitals but by me being a person. I have accepted me being a woman and embrace it now. Because I am not a woman due to my genitals. I am a woman because I am a person with that gender.

Love when they are so close to the point and yet still so far...

    parent
  • 254 points Embarrassed-Air4343

I genuinely thought this was pro-trans on first read. It can definitely be read that way, and it actually does make me feel better, I don't need a vagina or uterus to say I'm a woman!

    Task failed successfully?

    parent
    63 points Spyder-xr

It took me like 10 rereads to understand their point. Was very confused.

    parent root
    35 points minibeardeath

Plz explain. I still don’t understand how this is anti-trans

    parent root
    71 points OneWingedKalas

Transphobes reject all the other terms besides "woman" to be applied to them, even if they are correct in a medical or academic context, they feel it's "insulting".

    parent root
    41 points Redmangc1

Got it, say the words angrily not melodically.

    parent root
  • 141 points YourBestBaka

I too am none of these things. I am, however, a woman.

    parent root
    30 points NicPineapple

Unfortunately, probably not. Her handle is "vanilla.wife", she's bragging about being vanilla. It's likely that all she knows about sex and anatomy (even her own) is what her repressed mother and husband have told her.

    parent

Yeah, I'm down with this, I mean she looks like a corpse but I'm not going to judge.

    parent
    21 points throwawaywahwahwah

That’s not even the owner of the page. She just found the image on Google and slapped it on the picture.

    parent root
    17 points The-link-is-a-cock

I don't think that's a real person, notice the super long index finger of the left hand and absurd neck length. Looks like an AI image.

    parent root
    8 points Solarpowered-Couch

    Accidental AIly...?

    parent root
    7 points warmfuzzy22

You can see her shoulder in the upper right through the flowers a bit. I think her neck is a bit of an optical illusion with her hair. Still could be ai of course. I had to take a second look to see it the way you saw it but I see it now. It's like seeing a hyper-realistic version of Candice from Phineas and Ferb.

    parent root
    -7 points The_Plan7

Sounds like you are judging and attacking the way she looks like every incel I've ever met. Try again.

    parent
  • 9 points WebtoonAddict

how is this transphobic, still not seeing it

    parent
    26 points MythicBird

All of those other things are a way to describe someone AFAB without calling them a woman in order to be inclusive of anyone who isn't a woman. Generally speaking rejecting those terms is only done by terfs - especially the "i am not a cis woman" part. Cis transphobes don't want to be called cis

    parent root
    3 points Digital_Rocket

    Second this, can someone explain?

    parent root
    19 points queerqueen098

Some cis ppl think cis is a slur and being called a "uterus owner"etc somehow "cancels out" women

    parent root
    -6 points Digital_Rocket

I think I understood some of those words but thanks for explaining

    parent root
    11 points Gingerkitty666

What words don't you understand ?

    parent root
  • 8 points sms3eb

It took me a minute to figure out what message they were trying to convey. These people really just need to take the time to learn the terminology. They might actually learn to be more open-minded along the way.

    parent
  • 7 points Jaris_Mebius

    parent
    15 points ExistingCleric0

"They see 'cis' as a slur because they've spent so long using 'trans' as one." - someone on here I can't remember.

    parent root
    4 points iSeven

Exactly the same vibes as "I'm not "straight", I'm "NORMAL"".

    parent root
    12 points motherjuno

it’s against the ‘woke language’ now used to describe women, like saying cis women are . cis…

    parent root

cis ppl hate inclusive language even when no one is forcing them to use that to describe themselves 🤷🤷

Birthing Person/chest feeder feels super rude and offensive, like referring to women as "females" but that is me personally.

Anyone else notice headlines and topics are always centered around MtF Transgender or identifying as a women and it feels quiet on the FtM side?
