that's an expensive piece of kit to have applied no situational awareness to... what did they think would happen when the rotors got close to the billowy fabric or bush? 🙃
It's used for applying pesticide/herbicide/fungicide on crops. It's the future of agriculture. You can apply less chemical in exactly the places needed.
Oh right yes. Do you get to operate it? Does it require certification? Hope you don't mind the questions, I just bought my first little drone so its piqued my interest.
I don't operate it. Yes you have to be licensed by the FAA to fly it. You also have to be licensed by the state for applying chemicals from an aircraft.
That makes sense. Cool to be part of, thanks for sharing.
I'm in construction and there's tech coming (that will require strict regs to preserve safe usage) utilizing drone tech for various practices. Large scale lifts to remote crane lift lines and that sort of thing. Haven't seen it used yet aside from videos from overseas.
The only difference is what looks like a cable of some sort is there in the second shot. I simply don't think the camera panned back far enough the first time.
Looks the same to me. The wall has some little growth and dark streaks next to the pilot, and the cameraperson steps back a few steps. The wall has all of the same growth as before, it’s just up near/in-front-of the pilot.
I’m not saying it’s a real video, but I don’t believe the wall is the tell that you think it is.
Drones like this aren’t toys they are for commercial
business use normally farms and shit like that. So it’s most likely either a company owned drone and he just pilots it, or his own drone that he uses for work to make money.
I think this one might be a commercial delivery drone; it has a storage box as its payload. In mountainous places like this, they are often used to transport things to remote places where you can't drive a car.
But yeah, commercial drones are most often used in agriculture to spray chemicals and seed. They can be very expensive, like upwards of $40,000 sometimes.
Yea think your right, I did my drone licence course and one of the guys in the class bought a chem spraying drone think a 50kg payload one was about &50,000 Aus for the drone alone before getting all the other attachments
I fly a drone for work pretty regularly, and I immediately knew something bad was going to happen in that confined space. The drone I fly is like the size of a soccer ball, and I wouldn't even launch that tiny thing in a confined space like that.
I bet they will never learn from these kind of mistakes because they’re too old to be this stupid. Not saying that the new drone will overcome the same thing but maybe he will look in the barrel of a gun after it did not fire..
The jeans at the end frame have a weird red spot on the back of the thigh with like a weird hole looking cutout. Feels like ai. Cameraman also sucked, could've been part of the prompt so it wouldn't be as easy to spot the ai vid
Not everything has to be AI. People can be stupid as well. I went frame by frame and could not find any evidence of AI. Only terrible compression
The cameraman did a few steps backwards which are not very visible because the video is very well stabilised but you can see for example that these 3 plants in the beginning are still there in the end and you can compare the texture of the wall under them and the branches and everything also matches.
I haven't seen anything disappear or appear out of nowhere and the frames are consistent
The camera man step back as the drone goes to take off. The three plants sticking out of the wall can be seen at the end only they are now top corner of the shot instead of centre.
It's not a hose.. It's a cable that provides the power to the drone and you can see the drone lift that cable in the video.. And also it's still there for the entire duration of the video. So I don't know what you're talking about
See the orange hose under it? Where does half of it go after liftoff?
I'm mobile so it's hard to see, but that cord and bundle of cord appears to be a tether and the cord begins to lift with the drone because it's attached to the underside.
That's obviously a bad spot. Drones sway back and forth when taking off from the wind hitting the ground. He's lucky he didn't sway into the cement wall
I’m not seeing the problem or the chaos. Maybe you shouldn’t try to trim the bushes at the exact same time as removing the tarp but they still got the job done.
The amount of wind force that thing would be putting out, especially for a drone the size of a car, is not felt at all by its surroundings in this clip. Not to mention the amount of constant blur on random objects and corners. To then also have what I assume is the drone pilot not really reacting to his drone getting caught in a blanket and falling back down seems implausible. Also the blanket must be being held onto by something crazy to somehow get eaten by a drone but still be stuck to the side of that building.
This drone doesn't have a battery, it's plugged in. It's a DJI flycart 30. It may be as big as a car, but it's far from it's weight
Without batteries: The drone weighs 42.5 kg.
It has a bigger area so the lifting force is more spread out, which gives of the expected wind in the video during lift. This thing is not an entire helicopter. A helicopter would put out easily 50 times the lifting force of this drone.
I didn't see any anomaly in the video except bad compression
The curtain part definitely seems suspect, if you pause at the right moment the curtain is just so damn long. That's my only problem with it but they could have super long curtains that are the entire height of the house...I guess.
r/killthecamerman
Probably a broken shard from the propellor did… lol
I hope so.
lmao calm down there
that's an expensive piece of kit to have applied no situational awareness to... what did they think would happen when the rotors got close to the billowy fabric or bush? 🙃
Nothing... they thought nothing would happen...
Nothing… they thought nothing
would happen…Nothing… they thought
Nothing…they
Nothing...

I think they borrowed that from their aunt
Yeah they didn't think is the issue.
"Why did you take off there?"
"well, I didn't think -"
"Imma stop you right there."
We have one of similar size at work and I'm pretty sure they paid north of $30k for it.
Thats cool. What kind of work?
It's used for applying pesticide/herbicide/fungicide on crops. It's the future of agriculture. You can apply less chemical in exactly the places needed.

looking at the back of his leg at the end of the video it appears he's learned that lesson twice now lol
Thats just the design of his pants.
I was honestly expecting the ground effect to be strong enough to overturn it. Everything here was dumb.
I don’t think they expected that much rotor wash. It doesn’t even do that much until it gets right inline with the drapes
Even the small DIJ Mavics have some serious down draft.
But rotors push not pull right????!!!!!
They didn't get that far in their thought process.
Who wants to bet this is a scammer-boss’s house, and he just bought a new toy..?..
What do you expect of people who literally live in the jungle
money cant fix stupid 🤷♀️
But having enough money can fix stupid mistakes
Unless they killed someone
Edit: nvm it fixes that too if u have enough
Oh it can.

The only difference is what looks like a cable of some sort is there in the second shot. I simply don't think the camera panned back far enough the first time.
It’s amazing how people cannot differentiate AI from reality… yet it’s only gonna get better and worse at the same time.
Every video has comments saying it’s AI. Maybe they’re AI comments.
Soon it's actually likely AI as they train on reddit conversations.
We see a different part of the wall because the camera follows the drone (well sort of follows).
Its def not ai
[deleted]
They don't. The cameraman just moved further back. The plants are still there
Edit: forgot to say I agree.
I agree. Went over a couple times. Camera man walked back.
I'm almost certain video is older than AI generated video. I remember showing this to my roommate, and I haven't had a roommate in 5 years
r/thatlookedexpensive
Damn camera man. I wanted to see it not stick the landing.
r/abruptstupidity
Wow, what a colossally stupid move 😂
I guess if you're going to be this stupid, it's good to have that much money. Congrats for him I guess?
Drones like this aren’t toys they are for commercial business use normally farms and shit like that. So it’s most likely either a company owned drone and he just pilots it, or his own drone that he uses for work to make money.
In other words he is having a really shit day
I think this one might be a commercial delivery drone; it has a storage box as its payload. In mountainous places like this, they are often used to transport things to remote places where you can't drive a car.

You don't know if the pilot is the owner
dude that's a huge drone
75kg of drone
That's what she said
Thank you for not leaving a minute of nothing video until the Abrupt part. Short and to the point!
Man, I wanted to see the aftermath carnage.
"What's your clearance, Clarence?"
"What's our vector, Victor?
"Roger, Roger!"
What kind of idiot pick that kind of location, instead of an remote open field.

It's probably the same to him like a S5 toy for you and me.
I fly a drone for work pretty regularly, and I immediately knew something bad was going to happen in that confined space. The drone I fly is like the size of a soccer ball, and I wouldn't even launch that tiny thing in a confined space like that.
I am not a drone expert and I anticipated what was going to happen.
You have to remember you're in a country where they have their curtains outside
Thats a big drone wtf
Couldn't they find any narrower road/place?
About 40k
Hi i’m Johnny Knoxville, and welcome to Jack Ass.
More like Roter Ass
I never flew a drone and even I knew this a horribly stupid idea.
I bet they will never learn from these kind of mistakes because they’re too old to be this stupid. Not saying that the new drone will overcome the same thing but maybe he will look in the barrel of a gun after it did not fire..
This is all Carols fault
Wasp over there
I swear on everything I love i flicked my thumb through the comments hoping I would see an arc raiders reference and I stopped on your comment.
Haha, cauliflower beef? Sounds like a veggie revenge plot gone wrong.
There is a blanket ban on drones in that country
Are you sure you don't more spac..
Never mind

That isn’t necessarily AI… compression does that too.
The jeans at the end frame have a weird red spot on the back of the thigh with like a weird hole looking cutout. Feels like ai. Cameraman also sucked, could've been part of the prompt so it wouldn't be as easy to spot the ai vid
this comment is AI
Something about it does feel off
Def not ai
The entire left wall is replaced by a new one in the same style between the first and last shot.
Not everything has to be AI. People can be stupid as well. I went frame by frame and could not find any evidence of AI. Only terrible compression

i saw that coming with my eyes closed
Bro its AI, you saw nothing. Need an example? Where did the rest of that orange hose go after the liftoff?
It's not a hose.. It's a cable that provides the power to the drone and you can see the drone lift that cable in the video.. And also it's still there for the entire duration of the video. So I don't know what you're talking about
That looks a little fake....
How much does it cost? 50k$? More?
DJI Agras T50 ~$20k usd
Nothing, it's AI
Prove it
See the orange hose under it? Where does half of it go after liftoff? The Limbo?
I don't see anything wrong with it. I think you troll
I'm mobile so it's hard to see, but that cord and bundle of cord appears to be a tether and the cord begins to lift with the drone because it's attached to the underside.
Seems like it could've been prevented.
First they flew it into a truck, now they're crashing it into awnings...
dude failed one task he was assigned.
I laughed so hard on that dumbass that coffee came through my nose
Carving out a place for yourself in the landscaping business I see.
It will go to shit! It will go to shit! Go to shit! It will!
Absolute fucking spastics
Really pissed me off, such a cool drone too
oh shit i just chortled
Looks like ot got ahold of the back of his pants too.
Why wouldn't you put rotor guards on a piece this expensive?
I hate stupid people with money
How can you be that dense
Did you see the video?
That's obviously a bad spot. Drones sway back and forth when taking off from the wind hitting the ground. He's lucky he didn't sway into the cement wall
I mean. Who could have possibly seen that coming? Everyone? Yeah. Everyone
Next time he does it better
I wanna see the face of whoever paid for that drone
That made a cool sound
This is nice how much for one of these.,,?
Ooohhhj fuken helll!!! Who trusted him fly dis???
Kinda interested to see what the rest of this guys life is like.
Dumbass.
*Expensive Lesson learnt
Who'd have thought a tarp could defeat a drone 🤣
To have learned a lesson - assumes you have humility and intelligence enough to see the gift that is before you.
I think we lack enough intellect and humility, that this unfortunate display of stupidity will be repeated.
The operator of this drone needs to understand the design and placement of helipads.

What is baba yaga doing at China?

Oof, that's what happens when you skimp on the brakes, huh?
Haha, the keyboard's just begging for some drama now.
-$1.000.000
I’m not seeing the problem or the chaos. Maybe you shouldn’t try to trim the bushes at the exact same time as removing the tarp but they still got the job done.
That looks very very expensive
Oh yea right here in the most crowded place possible
Bold of you to assume anything was learned
Im not drone pilot, but I could tell you, you need more clearance than that.
ain't no way im trying to lift it up in the middle of a street. go to a field brother.
I think this is AI.

Oof, that cauliflower's got some serious beef with you. Lesson noted!
What a wonderful model helicopter.
Drones are the future of warfare. Just hope our future enemies are this competent in their use.
This is the same cgi drone that they flew into a truck a few years ago...
Ah yes this is such a real video ah ha ha ha what a doofus amiright
