So the story of it being added on for housing 3 generations is false? Even the neighbors said that. They built it so the family could all live together but sorta separate. It's not even finished bc of the uproar.
But I'm curious as to how it would be useful as a car repair facility? What's happening on the 2nd & 3rd floor? Why would they need all that room to fix cars? Where would the cars be besides the ground floor? The house isn't registered/zoned as a business. It's full of (unfinished) bedrooms, bathrooms, & kitchens.
I'm absolutely not calling your friend a liar as I'm only going off what I've read.
Looks like a Garage Mahal to me. With a couple of lifts, and possibly a full bar and seating area in the back, plus parts storage up top...
Wouldn't mind having something like that myself, but there's really nowhere for it to go. Kind of like here, actually--that doesn't really belong there...
This is what will happen when I pass. My husband will take down the yard he’d like to not maintain and build the most hideous stupid garage with every thing he’s ever wanted in it.
Why do they need a two story garage door, are they parking a fire engine in there?
They have 2 ford transits with ladders on top. There's like 2 feet of clearance
Are you a student or a Townie?
I miss SC some days, but not during football weekends.
Ahh, small fire engines / ladder trucks... 😂
Probably have a hugeass RV in there.
Seen a few farmers in the midwest do the same for theirs.
Have they put a flat on top of the garage? I mean just why would you stick that on your house, I bet the neighbours love it
Clearly this was the inspiration for the Jeffrey Epstien Memorial Ballroom
I think that a barn evokes a fun hoedown kind of a ballroom. Just imagine the king of Sweden getting down to Turkey in the Straw
Long lost cousin of the Grover House.
OMG, I know this house!!!!
I remember when they built the addition--it is horrendous. Apparently it's a garage for repairs on large vehicles.
My friend lives down the street from this--she's going to love that it made Reddit!

Ideal house to garage ratio as a car guy
This is pretty bad but honestly most house additions are super noticeable, not quite as comedicaly but noticeable nonetheless
This one actually made me laugh out loud until I read the subtext, which is so sad. The whole thing is sad really. All the antennas, everything.
Yup. Lots of people get upset at HOAs, but this is the kind of thing they prevent.

I hope he has a keg fridge, taxidermy and a whole lot of new tools in there or at least something he's always wanted
He’d have all the crap he’s never been allowed to so who on earth knows?!
If you only have half an acre of land with no building ordinances, then why not? It's more efficient space management.
This got approved by the township!
Trump’s vision for the White House…
That county inspector looking like Mr Nezu from Akira
The fucking spoiler on the car. Now I'm getting upset.
Pretty sure that’s a Celica, those came like that from the factory.
I believe that that's true and that you're right. I'm only saying that the entire scene is a tragedy.
It’s like Grover House all over again.
lol is this my parents house
I understand it, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
Groverhaüs?
Which is the addition lol! Just kidding, I know
