Hi! im working as a layout artist / painter / compositer on a feature film with the studio i work at, started working around 2 years ago and i love it here, feel free to AMA about anything that interests you!
I work in Portugal which is a country that heavily shits on culture, but i do get paid monthly and I have a contract, that part I really am grateful for and couldn't have asked better, aside from that, it's not a good paycheck, but for the position we're in, it's money people can barely live with and for the level we're at, we deserved more
I haven't really worked outside of this scenario but I would say it's really difficult to get somewhere stable and fun without knowing anyone prior, it's getting harder even more that I can't know for sure
so far its been super draining, and when i get home i feel like i cant draw like at work or that i lose every single drawing bone in my body, but i wouldnt say ive lost the passion yet ahah
I get that, thank you for the good question, and I'd say I really like (in 3D) what moon studios do with their games and (in 2D) I would advise you check out WERE collective, they're on Instagram, I like whatever that is

Would you describe yourself as an animated person
as in, fun?
Do you conform to the definition of an animated person:
"To be an animated person generally means someone who appears full of life, energy, and expression."
I would say I do relate to that but in a very modest way, not as explosive, and you?
You mean you can be animated but you are also chill and not overly manic? That's me basically...
Yes I'd say I'm not a super super hyped person or full of life on the outside
True
I'm assuming it was your hobby prior to this. Do you feel like turning it into work has made the excitement and love for it go down?

Do you have a favourite style of animation? I love the Pixar kind but my most favourite is the Disney Renaissance style :)
