I used my own name and I actually regret that, since I want to be fairly anonymous on online forums. A few subs require your flair to be your player name and I've opted out of participating in them because I don't want everyone to know my name. I've started using my secondary character for trades now, since that player name is not my own lol.

Mine is Tomato. A nickname I have gotten by more than one person because my name is not "typical" (one being an elderly neighbor who's autocorrect insisted on changing my name to tomato everytime). I also garden, and often have excess tomatos my family brings to outings to share. So it's Tomato, and I love it. 😊

I had this cat that was born in my closet when I was 4. I named her Wendy. She lived 18 years. I had already recently named another character in another name Wendy, so I didn't want to name my character the exact same name so I came up with Wendolynn.

I wish I could change it. My villagers name is something I was called when I was being abused. The abuse started after I started playing.

Exactly the same… unfortunatly. Funny story, since I restart a lot to get a map/airport/fruit trio I like, I always end up writing Elodie (instead of Élodie) because it’s annoying to change the keybord to get to the accents.

But not long ago, I had to dig out my birth certificate only to realize my mom forgot to put the accent in the form when I was born!! Which doesn’t sound the same at all!

Made me laugh that I’m accustomed to it anyway because of the game hahaha

I had never played AC before NH and my wife really wanted to get me into it. I named my villager ReeferRolf as a pisstake and well…2500 in game hours and a cherished completely full island later I really wish I had just used my own name 😭

I chose a version of my name on TikTok since I got into the game because of some friends I met on TikTok.. I’m fairly anonymous online, or I try to be. My TT name is sour skittles so I chose skittles for my IGN and named my island RainbowKey. I LOVE it!

In game it's ∴dani∴, and Sterling asked to call me "Vitamin ∴" (intending for it to be like "Vitamin [first initial]" and I said yes and I think it's hilarious bc how do u even pronounce it? I think in my head it's just a happy little sound/trill. Phoebe asked if she could also call me that, but I said no in favor of her continuing to call me "rosebud" ^{_^}

In most games now I just use my real name, but when I started Animal Crossing I had decided to go for a variation of it. That way it's not my full unique name, but it still very much feels like me when the villagers refer to me!

My name used to be as it is for my villager, but the most recent time I reset, I wanted a halloween/fall/Salem Massachusetts theme and my real name does not suit that at all. I chose a themed name (Lunar) and changed my birthday too! (Oct. 31) I am usually busy on my real birthday anyway but I NEVER miss Halloween in acnh because I love to see Jack!

On my switch lite island however, it is a summer/vacation theme as my lite is my travel console (my main island is on my switch 2 and I am not letting that thing leave my house) and I did set my villager name to be my own name so it feels more personal on my journeys!

Mine is a combination of my first and middle name, but I have one that is completely different, too. My son likes to use his first initial and last name, and I wish he wouldn't.
