I didn’t realize that decelerating while in gear makes this embarrassing farting sound, or is it just me? Much more prominent when you have cars on your surroundings where the sound would bounce off of.

I wish I could get a sound clip but very hard for my device to pick it up.

  • I’ve seen it in YouTube videos for this muffler too. So I think it’s just how it is without a proper cross over tube like the OEM style ones. Strange that 996s don’t suffer the same affliction though.

    I just stop decelerating in gear around the neighborhood now, but damn what a shame. Sounds fantastic otherwise, really encourages you to ring it out.

  • Check for leaks upstream of the mufflers. Air intrusion will sometimes cause any unburnt fuel to pop

  • Is it only at lower rpms? If so it's an e throttle thing.

  • I've noticed the same thing. That's just how the motor sounds. I only have the cat back.

  • If a sound can embarrass you, you should not put aftermarket exhaust on your cars.

    Many people pay many dollars for that sound
