Jenny’s playing herself she doesn’t know how to take $.40 from one dollar and a rather $.60 from a dollar and give back change of $.60 it’s exactly the same Indian money is the same as American dollars and she keeps saying she can’t do a screaming at her husband and then Madeline playing herself making him believe she’s pregnant which is perfect timing because she all of a sudden she’s trying to speak softly and now she’s angry and her usual nasty self. She’s so angry about the land.

Manon is such a mean person. Belittling Anthony, rolling her eyes at him….when he was listening to the “business partner” lady in French and said he didn’t need translation, she made such a rude comment and rolled her eyes at him. Just constantly attacking him at any opportunity. She is not a partner to him. They are not a team. She does not have her family’s and Anthony’s best interest at heart. Not buying the “business woman” shtick either; she is awful with money. She is toxic and continuously more awful as the season progresses.
Like isn’t the goal for him to learn French?? It seems like he’s starting to do well at it, she shouldn’t be so surprised.
What could Anthony possibly see in her? She's physically repulsive, emotionally abusive and always thoughly unpleasant to be around. I agree that she's not a "business " woman either. She just wants to seem important.

Luke is pathetically naive if he hasn’t figured out she is using him. He’s been an ATM for her. We all know she dropped him when she realized there was no money from Luke. Greta needs serious psychological help. She still carries childhood trauma. She pushed Matthew away before he could break up with her. She thinks she doesn’t deserve to be loved. She doesn’t trust herself enough to feel any kind of love for him.
Tbh I don’t feel bad for Luke. He got with her when she was barely an adult, and it sounded like she had some sort of family issues before. He wanted a too young, hot foreign sugar baby but he doesn’t have the sugar to give her.
He wants a hottie, she wants someone with money, fair exchange isn’t robbery. In the words of Anita, would he want her if she was fat and ugly?

Try 15 years she she moved to a country that she refuses to learn the language. The money is exactly like American money. A dollar of theirs is like a dollar of hours so the change is exactly the same but she doesn’t know how to take $.10 from a dollar I mean really and then handing all the money back to everybody.

All of a sudden her her gigantic head went into his lap because she knew he was sick of her shit and now all of a sudden, she’s back with him, but she’s back to normal, screaming and cursing at him and acting like a vegetable.

Hot take here...am I crazy to actually be team Manon in this episode? Anthony whining about her starting a business, they need to make money somehow! He isn't working. He's like King Complacency. She wants better for their family and he's content to just skate by.
I believe Anthony likes not working and being a stay at home Dad. He just needs a guys night out once in a while and he will be fine with that arrangement.

I think he's passive aggressive but due to editing looks like the nice guy and her over emotional behavior is also a problem.
I get that but also idk what their situation has been. If the issue in the US was that Manon was a workaholic, Anthony probably sees her getting sucked into the same lifestyle again. I had a workaholic parent and it was terrible - never saw kids, always physically sick and angry, never emotionally available, risk of severe burnout. And also the reason they moved to France was to change their life and avoid that bad dynamic, so I get Anthony being annoyed about moving his entire life into another continent and then it’s just the same. Especially after them planning a completely different thing and Manon promising not to work.
All that said, I also do think their initial plan of Anthony learning the language and working was equally horrible. He should have secured a job beforehand, something suitable or remote, or then tried to just get anything minimum wage (but that wouldn’t sustain the lifestyle they want).
It is so frustrating! He weaponizes Ben. "So you're willing to not spend time with Ben?" Other parents go to work. People work. He stays home with his child and uses the fact that he has a close relationship to shame her. I was a stay-at-home mom and cannot imagine doing this to my husband after working all day (to pay our bills). How is he not even a little bit grateful that she is willing to work so that he CAN stay home with their child? This man infuriates me... especially for making me take Manon's side - she's insufferable.

And now that they're in France, Ben is spending awesome quality time with his grandparents, he's being immersed in a new culture, and likely will become bilingual, and it's still not enough for Anthony. You can be a great parent and have a fulfilling work life. I get the vibe that they are just incompatible.
I agree with it all! Yes Anthony should have secured a remote job before they moved. Although I dont think they should've moved to France in the first place if she wasn't happy there before. There are plenty of places in the US they could've chosen that are way cheaper than France! I think moving there was all in Manon plan to start this new business with her friend and have her parents there to take care of their son so she could send Anthony ass back to the US! There storyline never made sense to me for that reason. If she wanted to work less and spend time with her son, they could’ve moved to literally any other state, they were literally living in Cali which is top 3 most expensive states. It would’ve been far easier for him to get a job in the US as opposed to France when he doesn’t speak the language.

This was all Jenny’s plan to be sent home. It’s her plan to get out of work. To me she’s lazy for not learning how to make change. Some of you say oh but she’s retired she shouldn’t have to work. I’m 73 and a widow. I get up everyday and can pretty much do anything and everything to take care of myself and my home. I would love to have someone to cater to my needs all day.

English is the primary link language in India.
Not necesarily... people in most developed countries (India is highly educated) know how to speak English. It's very different in America where knowing other languages is just not valued. We are worse off for it.
That's why I started studying Spanish at 60 years old. Lots of Spanish speaking people where I live, and I realized that Americans are probably the only people in the world who only speak one language. I worked diligently at it until I retired, then I didn't get a chance to practice anymore.

Using photos that made her look 20-25 yrs younger and 50-75lbs smaller. He met her at the airport wearing a shirt with her photo on it and upon arrival she looked more like the mother of the person on the shirt or a distant relative that had little resemblance to the reality of Rebeccas appearnce at that time
