The company I work for has been on overtime for the manufacturing workforce for over 3 years now. During that time the active # of workers to produce the work has dwindled due to higher then normal turnover. Managements response? Ramp up full time overtime. Eventually everything breaks overtime however they don’t care at what expense it cost to get there. That’s just the business.

I believe it’s based off self interest. Coherence lines the pockets of both parties with a shared interest in greed.

The relationship between the worker and the owner is unsustainable and unhealthy
The codependency is 🔑 However the power distribution is unjustifiable. It should be a symbiotic relationship, instead one extorts the other.
well when you start to think like that and question the relationship, I've found that you might not even need the owner
but yes of course, the massive inequality is unjustitfiable
